I meet this guy a tattoo parlor here in town once whom said he got 2 tattoos from Kat Von D at L.A. ink said they cost $10,000 dollars on another note me & Sammy Hagar have the exact same birthdate
Sometimes the stories behind the songs are just as and sometimes even more entertaining than the songs themselves. That is totally meant to be a compliment and not an insult in any way. Will not listen to these a lot of times I get the feeling I'm a fly on the wall and I get to be in a place where I wouldn't normally got to be. It is one thing to be in the front row when you're at a concert. It is quite another to be in the nosebleed section at the Opry.... but I would give anything to be in the room with you when you and one of your collaborators write a song , these stories actually make me feel a little bit that way.... And I very much appreciate you taking the time to do them. It's kind of nice to know what an octopus's garden is 😉
@Ray Wylie Hubbard🎶 you are definitely one of my favorites. I used to be a top fan and for some reason I lost that status. It may be because I've been a little busy in my own personal life but it sure isn't because I have less of an interest in your music. Sometimes when we're busy with our own lives we just don't get to enjoy some of the things that we do enjoy as often . A few months back I got to see you at the Lafayette room in Memphis we both had a little trouble getting across the bridge that night. Right I myself now than I am in my sixties understand that we slow down a little bit. But I would rather come see you at any show where it is quality and you are yourself then you try to book too many just to please the masses. I know my friend it's all about black and red ink. Sadly that's what makes the world go round. But your music has a wisdom to it they cannot be purchased by the dollar. Don't get me wrong I have your shirts, your CDs and a book of a life they all written ( that you personally signed when they were sold out and you had it on stage with you one night. ) In my opinion if a fan doesn't support you merchandise-wise they're not truly a real true fan. You got to make a living. Hell I know you're doing all right these days but there was a lot of days when you paid your dues that you didn't get a check wrote. Anyway all I'm trying to say is I considered an honor anytime I have a response from you even if it's just part of your group or you yourself not using capital letters. Mr Hubbard I drive a 12 axle low bed, hauling heavy equip. And oversize loads all over the Country. In almost everyone of your songs it takes to that place. That place on the Will Rodgers Turnpike, cousin in Arkansas that used to make whiskey. Have a 68 mustang 428 ci, Had an olds 442, 455ci Abilene spent a week there One Night! I used to live in Fontana Ca. Sammy Haggar lived right down the Street. I'm 58 and your ability to right the way you do, and to take me to all these places I can say I know exactly where that is, blows my mind. New Album is Cooler than shit! Always thought maybe you and Samantha Fish might get together for one. Love ya Mr Hubbard! Thank you........ There is no one else with your style and writing abilities like you recording today! There are some good up and comers. Maybe it's the miles on me and the life I have chosen. Stay Well my friend.
