Another engine run video from the class event held by the Classic British Jets Collection at Bruntingthorpe. The Meteor NF.11 starts it's Rolls-Royce Derwent Centrifugal Compressor engines and runs them up to high power (not sure if full power) Enjoy!

What's your views on Jet2 announcing Liverpool as there 11th base? Why is London Southend constantly being overlooked/ left behind? I note that on half of there schedules from Liverpool they will be competing directly with EasyJet, who already have a large presence there. Yet they would basically have a free reign at Southend. Southend needs something like Jet2. They can't use the argument that Southend is too close to other 'LONDON' Airports. look at Liverpool, that's only 25 to 30 miles away from Manchester Airport. Any Thoughts on the subject mate.
