What I believe was a significant factor that I've heard nobody talk about is the fact that there was an extra day off before 4 of the games including the last three. This was most likely detrimental to the Panthers and almost certainly a beneficial factor in Edmonton's comeback. The Panthers game very clearly centers around wearing their opponents down as is evidenced by their substantial period by period improvement in both the regular season and the postseason.

да они очень любят изматывать соперника, но это могло сыграть злую шутку в последнем матче....поэтому было очень важно первыми забить в седьмом матче и они с успехом справились с этой задачей.....

      I thought this
It was ridiculous because we had series with similar travel distance that only had this kind of break once or twice in a 7 game series, not four times, and it's probably a result of the NBA adopting the same schedule in their finals

@@kennysdead500 I'm not trying to make an excuse for losing 3 games, rather I'm just pointing out a legitimate partial reason for why the Oilers were able to recover as well as they did. The schedule was always known and that's just the way it is. It only becomes a legitimate excuse when the schedule changes... for example a baseball game that gets postponed and allows a pitching heavy team to have a critical extra day of rest.

Even though it's an overall playoff award, I felt like he needed at least 10 more points in the finals, plus the series would still have to go to 7 games if he still lost
It should have been Barkov or Bobrovsky, but I lean towards Barkov because he was more consistent this year, while Bobrovsky played at like 80% in the East this year compared to last but then showed up in the finals

I would have given the award to Barkov. He was largely responsible for shutting down the oppositions best scorers. He fell asleep for 2 games and McDavid burned them, but he had less ineffective games than Connor did over all
