I created this video to show that Sergei Bobrovsky had a massive performance in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals to lead the Florida Panthers to win their first Stanley Cup. Even though Bobrovsky did not win the Conn Smythe Trophy, Bobrovsky still played like a MVP all the way from the start of the season to the end of the playoffs. This is why in my opinion, he is currently the best goalie in the NHL.

They argue that his games 4-6 lost him the conn smythe. Connor McDavid in games 1,2,6,7 had a total of 1 point.
Crazy how that logic doesn’t apply to him. If Bob doesn’t arguably have the best goalie performance of the playoffs game 1 and slams the door shut game 7 the oilers would be having their parade already. Bob was stellar in 4 of 7 games. McDavid is as godly in 2 games.
Throughout the playoff run Bob also faced stiffer competition and out dueled all of the best goalies in the league.

Also McDavid in games 3-5 had some secondary assists that were pure garbage. Pass the puck to a teammate who casually passed it to someone else that skated 150ft and scored on a breakaway. Empty calories.
I think that's OK. McDavid performance was also stellar in the playoffs outside of some games but he didn't win cup. I am pretty sure Bob is OK with getting the stanley cup instead of conn smythe. you can have all individual trophees, but if you don't have the Cup these trophies dont matter anything.

I feel for McDavid, but I can't help but be enraged by the media for only focusing on him. The Panthers made incredible history winning their first cup and NOBODY is talking about Bobrovsky's incredible performance and how this run cemented his place in the Hall of Fame. All they wanna talk about is how McDavid lost and how the Oilers are gonna try again next year and it's as if the NHL considers a loss for the Oilers a loss for hockey in general. Oilers fans sure feel that way right now but for the love of God the Panthers are an amazing team that deserves this cup win. Your next Gretzky didn't win this year, oh well. Let Florida have this. The media bias is so real; they wish Florida never made it past Boston.

This is so 100% accurate it's not funny. The amount of homerism from ESPN was sickening. Every series after Tampa, it was clear no one wanted Florida anywhere near The Cup.

Precisely! Where was McScoreless in Game 7? He would’ve served his team better if he just sat on the bench and opened the door for players that actually showed up for the game
They consider McDavids overall stats and ignore his poor series performance then apply inverse logic to Bob despite the fact that Bob carried 4 wins to get the cup. His overall playoff performance was better and his series performance was better.
They got their individual award, we won the cup... Let them enjoy, I bet Bob cared much much more about winning the cup after a long hard career... God of Hockey Maurice and players like Bob are who I am happiest for, as a South Florida fan I know I personally don't deserve it more than fans in places like Edmonton, it's about our players and our coach!
@@MB-xq9hu I doubt Bob is devastated over it but I'm sure he would have been happy to get it. I'm not a giant Bobvrosky fan, so it's more the principle of the matter.
That left-hand save with his face towards the net is arguably the best NHL save ever made.

I've been watching hockey for 30 years, the later Hasek days, this is by far one of the best saves I've ever seen in the NHL, especially at this modern level.
As a Brodeur fan and someone who has seen him play his entire professional career I definitely agree with your analysis on Bobrovsky being one of the best all-time goaltenders

The problem here is that a forward can have a bunch of terrible games but it doesn’t really matter, but if a goalie has a few bad games and it’s immediately noticeable because it’s such an important position.
At the same time, while a goalie can steal a game here or there because of a lucky save, the goaltending position is incredibly reliant on the team in front of him. You look at the goals that were given up when the Oilers got "hot" and practically all of them were because the defensive positioning was absolute dogshit. Good shooters will always beat good goalies, so knowing where to be and how to read where the play may be going are incredibly important and having a team in front of you that minimizes high percentage shots and dangerous plays goes a long way. It also helps to have a bit of luck on your side at times, as well. Bob is a great goalie, I'll never say otherwise, but there have been plenty of teams that have won cups with mediocre-level goalies because their teams were able to shut things down while wildly outscoring their opponents.

у Боба сильная черта, считайте талант, он вытаскивает матчи, именно с таким вратарём выигрывают кубки. I've watched my first NHL games being last games of Stanley Cup Final of some years (Avalanche winning, Blues winning), but I decided to watch it for real and choose a team at the right moment, my first game 'for real' was that Game 1 of Eastern Final of Florida x Carolina, 4OTs, and decided to be a Florida Panthers fan by this name, Bobrovsky (I'm brazilian, so I have no link to any team unless the 'choose one and become loyal fan'). After that loss to VGK, I was still confident of something big coming, and it came 1 year later, but watching the whole playoff run

Bob may not have the best stats in regulation but as NHL is all about winning SC he is the best goalie who always makes saves when they matter (in closely contested games, in critical moments under huge pressure). In addition to Bob's individual outstanding qualities he & Panthers' game are made perfectly for each other over the last two years.

Бобровский сделал всё что и должен был сделать и даже чуть больше. Все голы которые пропустил другие вратари тоже бы вряд ли их отразили. Эдмонтон после трёх поражений включил режим форсаж около десяти махов и на седьмой игре уже пошёл перегрев и топливо на исходе.

McDavid is great but Bob only allowed 1 goal from him through out the series. McDavids other goals was an EN. Bob keep him off the stat sheets for multiple games. Basically what the NHL has said Bob can stop the MVP. I’m hoping he gets the vezina. I think his portfolio this year is more than enough.

The thing is that NHL bosses gave Conn Smite Trophy to the McDavid to sweeted the loose, the other big unfair they did it to Kucherov, he ended season with 144 points and McKinon I believe with 140 and they gave Hart Trophy to McKinon how is that calls, Kucherov worked hard and Tampa entered in playoff because of him and that's unfair !!!!!

BOB is not the best goalies in NHL right now but he is for sure in top 5 goaltenders. I would say he outplayed Skinner, Vasi, Swayman was way better in those series and with Shesterkin it was tie for me at least. But anyway good video

Bobrovsky deserved the Conn Symthe, and I think he was disappointed when you saw him on the ice. I thought it was unfair of the Canadian biased media to vote McDavid over him and Barkov. It was to just consol their true homer selves, and the rest of Canada. Also they should wait to vote after the series is finished.

hate to break it to you but a record breaking playoff run even without a cup is the reason mcdavid got this. he was more value to his team than bob was. not saying bob didn't have value but panthers team as a whole is the reason they won. they had the best defensive team in front of bob and he also played great, but not mc david level great throughout the "Whole" playoffs.

It's ridiculous. Bob was good. He was not as good as Swayman, Shesterkin or Skinner in those series. His stats show he was average. Below average. His TEAM won the Cup and he was a part of it

отличная подборка сейвов Боба, но мне кажется, если бы не Макдэвид , то приз самому ценному игроку , забрал бы Барков, он капитан и был достаточно полезен на льду, вспомните Вашингтон, MVP отдали Овечкину, хотя у Кузи результативность немного была выше.
