I would much rather hear Skin In The Game than The Slab. It's the only track missing from these sets for me. (I would really love to hear No Longer Making Time too)
Hi there, according to Christian Slowdive have given up playing No Longer Making Time Live as each time they played it they couldn't get it to sound right! So I would recommend watching the live in session upload by World Cafe if you want to hear a good quality recording...
I ran into Simon before the show in DC and he said the in-ear monitors were new and it put a little bit of stress on him for Shanty because of the sequencer playing the triplets has to be in sync. It is possible The Slab has a click track too and that got out of sync and he got pissed off and being the end of the set he was getting tired and didn't want to deal with the BS. He seems a little on edge, I saw them twice last week and at the end of one show he pulled his monitor buds out and threw them. I asked him if anything was wrong and he said he had been thinking about his dad a lot, who taught him to play drums, hit the drums hard, stuff like that. So the monitors plus emotions might be bugging him @@deepfocus888
As @deepfocus888 said, it looks like either Rachel's vocals or one of her instruments was too loud in Simon's in-ear monitors. He messed up the drum beat and then bailed on the song altogether. I think Neil was annoyed at him!
Probably my favorite concert I've been to, hope I can see them again someday!
Slomo is always even better live than the album version. Nice recording of this live show and thank you for sharing!
Agreed re: Slomo, and you're welcome!
Was at show and this recording is awesome. The reverb is tuned down and makes it clearer.
Thank you and yes the sound came out quite well on the recording.
4 bars into 40 days and it was all forgotten.
I love them (1991) I think so much is going on sonically here it gets compressed and sounds flat❤
Definitely a bit different than seeing live
Sounds amazing.
Love the way Nick play the bass on 40 days after what happened, was awesome 👍
@@user-mn3ez2kl3v Nothing, but the song before 40 Days got 86'd halfway through
Im so dreaming to come this concert
Appreciate this!! Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome!
I just need one good live version of Chained To A Cloud 😢
Yes!!!!!! Thank you
Anything for a fellow pug lover...
@@vintagevids8965 Great angle too! No nonsense.
I was there! I’d recommend a small Roland recorder. Better than a phone. That’s my head bottom left! 😅
It was actually just the built-in mic on a 20 year old Canon video camera!

Absolutely....skin in the game is missing. Great tune
To experience these beautiful compositions live is a miracle...so, I'm not complaining at all

30 aniversario de Souvlaki y Doom :D
why did they abandon the slab? i was most looking forward to that one :/
Great question! On viewing it looks like drummer Simon is having trouble hearing something. Maybe the feed was screwed up to his ears? Bummer.

@@vintagevids8965I met them after the show and Rachel said that the ear mics turned off and they couldn’t hear they kept apologizing about it
The keys were way off. I think there was a computer track or sequence that was mis-triggered
