Notes:
Like many have said, this was a very hard tour to get tickets from. My brother is a huge Cure fan and we were hoping to go to Chicago, Cleveland and Detroit. Was only able to make 2 of them. This was a 23,000 sold out show and we left early from Detroit in order to get there, about 5pm. It was raining, looking pretty grim in terms of the show going on with thunderstorms in the forecast later. It took us about an hour to park and then another hour to walk/get in to the venue. At this point it's a downpour. Worried about the gear and how wet it is. I had a ticket off to the side of the pavilion and felt the sound would not carry well to where I was sitting. But, I was going to try anyways. After Twilight Sad, it just started BUCKETING outside. The Cure crew doing line check etc and then thunder/lightning started breaking out. The power went out at the venue. At this point I did not think the show was going to happen, understandable too! Blossom was asking people on the lawn to go back to their cars. But no one budged. It was a nightmare to get in to this venue and I can't imagine lining back up to get inside and probably miss a good portion of the show. So I don't blame them. My brother was sitting in another section and he texted me saying that ushers were helping some people from the lawn to find empty seats to sit at. This was our chance. The section over, and just a few seats from where I was sitting were about 7 open seats. No one had come to sit in them yet. I assumed they were probably season ticket holders for the venue. Probably to be unoccupied. I texted my brother to come down here for us to occupy these seats. Perfect. In line with the left stack.
There was about a 30 minute delay in the start of the set. But the show went on! About 30 minutes in to their set, people finally showed up for these seats. They probably just had a tough time getting in to the venue. Luckily, the seats in front of this row were available... At this point, I didn't care if we'd get booted from the seats. Just had to try. I felt a little awkward taking these seats as a server was coming around taking orders from everyone etc. But I think this guy really knew we weren't supposed to be sitting there and just didn't care. Everyone was cold and wet, two other people joined our row that looked like they were just trying to beat the rain too. Two instances where I thought this was is and we were going to get booted from the seats was the server asking for a button that people could hit to order and then an usher came over and told me I couldn't use this handle I have for my digital camera while I was filming. With all that said, I just thought the tape was going to suck. The moving, the people asking me shit. I was just thinking the worst. The set was VERY enjoyable. The sound was impressive at Blossom. Last time I had been there was 08 for Radiohead, so it had been a while. Blossom was awesome in The Cure to play past curfew and fit in their whole set. Highlight was 'A Forest' in to 'Shake Dog Shake.'
I was happy to be able to hit at least two of the three shows. After all of the stuff that went on during the show, this was a really good tape and happy that it came out way better than I was expecting. I was +/- on bringing in windscreens for the ATs. I ended up not using them, so in-between songs by the end of the night was a few gusts of wind. Like I said, a few times there may be instances of an earthquake happening with the camera too. Enjoy the tape.

This might be among the best audience recordings I've ever heard, even with the RUclips compression. Your efforts are greatly appreciated for those of us who weren't able to attend. Wishful thinking, but someday, I'd love a listen to the full res 96/24 on a quality system and just sink into it.
Appreciate that! I sadly only recorded up to 24/48 on the tape. But the tape is available out there!
@@ryanj65 No snobbery here. I’ll take it. Should I try etree? Is there a better resource these days? I’m way out of the loop.

You really did a great job with this recording. I was fortunate enough to see them 3x on this tour and I agree with another poster, your recording is superior to the others I listened to. I want to hear more of your music! There is a depth to your sound! Thank you so much!!! Phoenix

Imo they’re all good but no problem
best show of my life. robert smith and the whole band left everything on that stage. amazing
Same, and totally agree. And the way the rain came down hard, so memorable and worth the 16 year wait. Counting down to September 17th!
Like fine wine; they get better and better with age!
I was there...standing in the rain.
" No Regrets"
What an amazing band.
me too..was well worth it..

Thanks for posting this great quality video! I’ve been an absolute fan since i was 15 (35years now) .. I finally get my chance tonight in Tampa and I’m taking my 19 year old daughter! Bucket List #1 is less than 6 hours away and I have goosebumps just thinking about my dream finally becoming a reality.
That's how it was for me too. I was so happily mind blown! I have loved the cure since 16 yr old and I'm 47 now. I was worried I'd never get to see them. I finally did tho!!! My life is complete lol....I can die happily now.
@@dogsrbetter & Live happily now!

Great show after a pretty crazy thunderstorm. They sounded amazing and played a full set after the storm delay. Was there with my daughter. We loved it!! Fantastic recording. Thank you for posting! 🎸🎤🎹
The sound quality on this recording is fkn OUTSTANDING! Thank you!
Absolutely one of my favorite shows ever. It doesn't get much better.
Beyond brilliant...the quality of confidece, playing them brilliant songs...
Just to say that I listen to this whole show from start to end just about every day. I went to both Atlanta shows - because after night one I had to go back and managed to get floor for night two. I'll never forget, in the top 5 concerts of my life. I always was a fan of the band, but now I'm absolutely obsessed. They have never been better. Thank you for this recording, it's amazing.
Holy crap man, the quality of this is incredible! What an epic night this was!!!!❤
Great video. New song And Nothing is Forever is insane. I was at Boston show and was top 5 live shows I've ever seen.
I love the drums in Cure Songs and Jason is fantastic ❤️

Damn dude. The quality on this is insane. I caught the show in Toronto. This lets me relive it. Thanks!
Thanks so much for capturing this! They care about their audience and their sound so much. The most professional band out there.
So incredible seeing and hearing how Rob Smith and The Cure has evolved thru the years…Decades really now. Truly a legend and pioneer! And excited to hear their new songs. Hopefully. I Can’t wait to see them this Sunday; Merriweather, Columbia Md. thanks for sharing this concert. ✌️ ❤️
yes DECADES! First heard them over 40 years ago. In love ever since❤
The audio quality is incredible from this audience attendee! Thank you for your efforts in bringing this amazing video to the greater RUclips audience!!!
'89 Disintegration Tour at Blossom. On 4 hits of Owsley "Woodstock" with Kristy and Tonya. I've been to over 3000 concerts; by far, that was the best one.
Seen them in Montreal a few days later, best concert of my life.
I am one of those voices screaming..luv this!!
This needs a lot more views. Outstanding, thanks for uploading. ❤
Had to sell my tickets to the Dallas show due to a family obligation and was heartbroken. Thanks to videos like this, I felt like I got to go to the show!!! Thank you for sharing and the quality is amazing!!!
Thanks for posting! I was in the lawn on such a rainy, stormy evening!!
Thank you for posting! I was there, and was trying to be "in the moment", but I couldn't help recording some of the moments I knew I'd want forever. When watching my recordings these last few weeks, I wished I had captured the whole night. So, thank you again, this is perfect!
Legend! FULL SEND
No half sends!
You can’t shout that loud enough!
I've seen the Cure five times in my life, each show gets better
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for uploading this. I was unable to make it to the show, and it broke my heart.

What a great concert, even with the rain. Thank you for this wonderful recording so I can relive it.
❤❤forever in lobo from.Brazil and USA Florida 2 👍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Opening song to this set has to be one of the most powerful arranged with some of the most emotional written chords !!! The FOH mixing this concert absolutely phenomenal --- all instruments including vocals cutting through so transparently clear ❤❤❤
I had to leave early. Thanks for posting this. Beautiful
Gosh you had a rough ride getting there, glad you persevered, fantastic show thank you ❤

I was there..Awesome show even with all the delays and rain..
Dear Intelligent Design, Give this man All he needs, wants and has earned. One of the favorite Angels, I'm certain. God Bless the Cure. ❤
This thing has a very high standard, quality of music, personal and some kind of humor. I like this very much!
I was at this show in the 3rd row it was amazing, the best concert I ever attended
How the hell did you manage to do this? Thanks for the recording, for sure I'll be listening to this many times. 🥳🥳🥳
This is the best quality live recording I've heard ... I'm listening to this at work on a Dell PC and it sounds great, everything is there and the keys sounds so clear!

Wish I was there in person but this will do just FINE!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING❤
I went to this concert on a broken leg in the pouring rain. There was no way i was missing The Cure when they were finally finally finally near me. It was a good show but i sure got rained on and soaked lol
Thank you buddy, great cam and knowledge. Great voice on RS
Awesome recording. Thank you for sharing it. One of the better recordings of Disintegration from this tour that I've seen posted so far.

Great camera and sound work.
Well done, thx.
Thank You. ❤
Perfect show. Love Always, Claudia
I just love how he acknowledges his fans by walking and stopping so that they may take pictures and greet him. He’s truly showing us how much he’s grateful and how much he appreciates us after all these years. Remarkable.

My 50th birthday. I was there. Weather was crazy
I will never forget this night
I worked for the Cure in 1992 "wish tour" nice band!
Great!!! 4k!!!! And full show!!! Thank you!!
По домашнему , на одном дыхании , молодец, слушаю с 1989г , уже не молоды , задор есть .
The best sound of all the vids i have seen, i was at the Dublin gig in Dec 22 and the drums and bass were too loud ,distorted even. sadly as i was so looking forward to hear them live, this sounds great thank you .
Your video is the sort where people track down other videos to create a multi-camera angle video but use your audio as the backbone of the whole thing, it is just that damn good.
❤❤
Perfect!~Right in "The Erogenous Zone"!~"... Probably to be unoccupied. I texted my brother to come down here for us to occupy these seats. Perfect. In line with the left stack. ... "! Thank You's for this! Best's, dtf
Burn !!!!!!!
ABUSIVOSSSSS. THE CURE LO MAXIMOO.
Sensacional!!!
Ray j you record the best 2 bands ever the cure and DM , Ty!! Oh and can someone put the track list please?
all I wanted was for them to play even more
We stood in the rain and lightning warning for a long time, thinking the show was going to be canceled. At one point, I said, "Either cancel the show or come out and play!" Then they came out and it was perfect thereafter.
need a forest 94
That thunder you hear….its us standing in it…….
It was raining so hard ……you couldn’t see two feet in front of ya…..
…….we were waiting to see the fucking CURE!!! (weather, what weather?)
Lol…..yeah, the weather…..The lighting was so close it actually scared the hell out of ya.
People by the hundreds…with just shorts and a tee shirt … 🤣🤣🤣…
It was 60 fuc#ing degrees……and wet!!
One of the greatest nights of my life!!!!!!
Was a great show . Who ever recorded this I owe you a beer or twelve.
With all the Lightning and Thunder before the show, and then the way they started to show watch the video. It's like lightning and thunder but I wish I would assign this on the walk in or requested it. During a lull and songs, check out the lyrics to the song
WANT
Lightning and thunder I want planetary rain I WANNA take a trip to the moon. 🙏⚕️⚖️🦅💫🦋😉
i was at this concert. Great concert, but not as good as the one I saw in 1989 in Lausanne, Switzerland..
the cure 1979 1993 best performance
And all hail to the perfect band. Hey Boris, it's CLAUDIA. Remember Detroit Head on the Door Tour.?

How in the heck did you get this audio quality??? Man to say they sound good is an obscenity! They sound mag-freaking-nificant!!!! Hope they come back soon!

If only Robert had put half as much effort into picking the set-list as RyanJ does recording this....
*Excellent* recording ...of a mediocre set-list!
Mediocre set? Maybe read the comments and appreciate the band for what they have given us
Excellent show but the video recording was lousy👎🏻
LMAOOOOO. Please. I'd love to see your efforts.
psiqueblablawhatever your name is: but you somehow managed to spend some time watching the OP's video and realised his recording was lousy, how's that? Your life must be a very miserable one, or it is you being miserable in real life?
@@ryanj65 LMAOOOOO Too! Best's, dtf
Your attitude is what is lousy, pal. He said that he normally uses a thing to support his camera but was told he could not at this show, and holding a camera up for a lengthy period of time gets fucking tiring and can distract from your enjoyment of the moment, too. Be thankful that they did this, and caught a moment in time for you to enjoy, and sacrificed some of their personal enjoyment.
Mediocre show but *excellent* recording! Most on YT have horrendous audio, and it's not like the up-loader picks what Robert decides to play...
Like the Grateful Dead of Goth. Beautiful!
I tried to get my Nikon into blossom. They said it was professional camera and video equipment. 😂
