I always put a little grease on the lifter pin and the end of the spring. The grease will keep the pin from dropping out of the lifter and the grease on the end of the spring keeps it on the hump at the bottom of its slot as I insert the forked tang of the lifter into the needle. The grease will wash off when gas flows through the carburetor.
recently picked up a ms 440 magnum. big step up over my 028 wb. first thing I did was rebuild the carb, thanks to your instructions. great stuff. will be following.
I put a little grease on the end of the lifter lever spring to make sure it stays put in its hole. I also put a little grease on the lifter lever pin, so it will stay in the lifter lever. The grease will wash out when gasoline gets into the carb.
Man I love watching your videos. Post them more often! And get yourself some huskys!!!! I highly recommend. The 372 xp. 576xp. 395xp. And the t540 too handle. Get yourself some!
Hell yeah man you got my playlist goin!! I use a little ultrasonic jewelry cleaner on em when they get real dirty. Works great when rebuilding. Good vid!
Very good video. Took the OEM Zama off my 036 Pro this summer because the saw wouldn't throttle up. Bought a whole Zama replacement for $20 so never worried about a rebuild kit. I'll have to get one now and get the old one working again.
Hey, love it, always had my shop fix for me, and now that I have seen this video, I will try next time, hey don't worry about the anti social, I have done the same thing, especially when the equipment needed service, before the next day jobs, hey stay positive always focused on forward always,
This video helped me fix a chainsaw, I cheated and stretched the tiny spring to compensate for the stiff diaphragm mainly to see if it would work, then I can get some service parts later ;-)
Haha, I'm the same way! Much rather be fixing something than be hanging out with "humans".
