This year is definitely not gonna be boring for smartphone buyers. What phone are you rockin' right now and are you planning to upgrade (or downgrade, if you're sick of expensive phones)?
Just praying it is going to work well on the AT&T network! 🙏🏻🤞🏻 Thank you for your reviews, I rely on these kinds of reviews to make important decisions! 👍🏻
I'm watching this as I use my new N10 phone that I was talked into buying from a T-Mobile Sprint representative and I totally do not regret it it is one of the best phones I've ever had. I'm in considering I had a $30 LG journey before this and it was the smartphone I had been using for most of the time I've been using a smartphone cuz I'm poor now I finally have a job and I was able to get this seriously hardcore upgrade. I get that it's probably far from the best smartphone on the market but for the price that I paid for it it's one of the best that I've had. It's fast it's slick and it has amazing features. my favorite part is having my first 4k camera because of this phone never had a 4k camera and I'm totally looking forward to playing with it.
Thanks for sharing your experience with your new toy, Matthew - it's a pretty sweet phone! If you could, please sub and share this with your friends and family 😁🙏
nice job on the review... I just got this brand new for $100 a year after this video was released. I think I might start buying all my phone this way .
This phone is amazing for the price, benchmarks faster than a lot of SD 845 phones...feels very high end in use Btw: has a high end audio DAC for hifi headphone audio :) they don't advertise it, but it's very good
Currently using the N100 but upgrading to the N10 Monday. Can't wait. Nothing bad about the N100 but I like that the N10 is a more powerful phone altogether. Nice review as well.
Like your reviews, I got this phone because I never had 5 g, I'm liking it. You remind me of Jon who used to work for phone dog. Great review. Just getting use to it, seems pretty quick most of the time.
Just got this phone for my fiancé, she really likes it, she is not into the specs of phone like me, I read the specs on this found that it was good solid specs soooooo I bought it for her, nice phone 👍🏾
I've been using the Nord N10 for a few days now. It's honestly a GREAT device. I got it for $50 switching over to Metro and I couldn't be happier with my decision. My only "complaint" is the EIS in the camera making moving subjects (like my toddler lol) a bit blurry! Otherwise, it takes decent photos of most things at this price point. I've always been interested in OnePlus and I'm happy they've made it possible for at least one prepaid carrier in the US! 5G for me has been quick and reliable. Thanks for your review, good as always 🙂
Hi Eboney! Awesome feedback about your phone. It IS a sweet piece of kit. You might've already tried this - have you toggled between image stabilization on/off, 'cuz sometimes the icon can confuse users whether it's activated or not. Continue having fun with your new toy! 😁
@@gearupaaron Hey, thanks for the response! I have and it DOES help with only occasional blurriness. Still, I don't find it a huge deal. For what it is, and again at the price point, I'm satisfied. I had the iphone SE 2020 for about a month and find the OnePlus to be far better!
Spot on review. I just got mine to replace my Samsung 9+ with a sad battery. Very happy so far. Can't beat the price, no arguments. Still have to test the camera.
It's this new camera attachment I'm testing out. The reflection started way early in the video and I realized at the end that I hadn't installed the attachment properly. 🤷♂️

I have to say I much prefer to have the power button and volume rocker on the same side, but if they are on opposite sides I do not want them directly opposed. I end up taking so many accidental screenshots on my Galaxy S8 which has the volume down part of the rocker in particular opposite the power button. Other than that nitpick though, this phone certainly delivers an incredible amount of value. I've never been one to care about phone camera quality - I pretty much only use to take a picture of a document or something, and a few years ago I gave up on using phones naked so I know I'm going to put a case on regardless of build materials. If someone brings back carbon fiber like Moto used to do then I'd consider it. I know TMo isn't exactly the most available network where we are, but were you able to get any sense of the radio quality in it?
Good points, Chris. Was able to test on Boost, but couldn't get any 5G. A number of reviews who were able to use 5G said connection and speeds were very solid.
Thanks for the review! Weird question, so do know how good the default music app on the phone is? I have mp3's that I put on my phone because I don't use a subscription service.
Hi there, I didn't notice any default music app and IIRC OnePlus has never had any music app in their phones. No big deal, just download your favorite app, and you're good to go. Great thing about the N10 is that it can process LDAC/lossless too.
You are a very thorough, fast and entertaining reviewer! Did you try installing a GCam (Google Camera) on this phone to improve photography especially in low light? If you have a recommendation on the best one to download for this model please do share. Thanks.
Thanks for taking the time to check this video out! No, back then I used the default app so I could review how it was straight-from-factory. But if I were to install GCam, I usually go with CStark's.
Hey @666 Frank - thanks for the question (and for watching) - both are solid, unless you're looking for a battery beast and Moto Action, then Moto FTW. The Nord seems more modern and and is snappier. Hope that helps!
I got this device about a week ago. And for the price and the aspects , it's a pretty decent phone. The only downside for me , is the fact that I'll only have 1 mayor upgrade to 11. 🙄
Tired of rocking a $1k+ super computer in my backpocket that I casually sit on everyday. I've used a mid tier phone (Op6T) for 2 years and it satisfied my needs perfectly.
Thanks, I am looking forward two see more of your videos,👍🏾 and I am looking forward to looking at your review if the oneplus 9 pro! I really want to get that phone 📲 it’s expensive but I’ll see what I can do to get it,
I subscribed. You are quite thorough and you seem rather natural for reviewing products. Solid understanding of the product and smooth presentation without, frankly, any pausing like a lot of folks on here. Maybe I missed it, but I often notice that many reviewers present phones on max brightness. In the real world, and battery as the obvious consideration, that is not ideal. Can you tell me if it still looks good at just 50%? I have seen, or I should say read, that it seems dim - the screen that is. And finally, if you have a moment, can you give me an opinion on the dual speakers. I know that for 300 bucks it will not be anything like a so-called flagship, but to be honest, I recently tried out the regular Oneplus 9, not pro, and it was NOT impressive to me at all. Thank you.
Hey LM, thanks for the kind words! IIRC, the N10 at 65% brightness indoors (sitting by windows on a bright sunny day) is very solid and punchy. Any lower in this same settings would be not as ideal... Maybe my eyes are getting dim. 😜
Thank you Aaron. I actually got it earlier and I must say, you are spot on. At just 50% it is more than bright, and I'm 57 year old. And the speakers are more than acceptable. This is a tremendous unit for the price. Your review was spot on. I wish you tremendous success moving forward. I am frankly shocked you are not at over 1 million subs. God willing soon. Very thorough and concise. Rare on RUclips. Have a great weekend my friend.
Yes, it's definitely one of the best phones for the price in NA right now. I forgot to comment on the speakers - I actually think my older Pixel 2 XL has better stereo separation and punch, but any twin speakers is a win in my book. I also hope this channel gains a much wider audience soon. I give it another 1.5-2 years. I enjoy making these vids for viewers, but it's a lot of work with low gains, so tell you friends and family about GearUP... Spread the word, please! ✌️
I will buy this phone Thanks for good review🙏🏼 Im broke and i want oneplus😅 In finland this phone cost 200€ Nord n10 specs are good enough for me so i think that i will love n10😅
Strongly considering it if something happens to my wife's G7. Depressed that LG is no longer doing handsets but OP makes compelling choices with frequency bands that redmi/Xiaomi/oppo dont
I miss my G4 (with leather back) and G6. That said, this N10 is also solid stuff. Someone also shared that this phone has a LDAC too, if that's your kinda jam.
I was talking to my T-Mobile Sprint salesperson and I told them I was an LG loyalist but I was disappointed that they were no longer on the market and I said I need a new phone but I need a viable replacement for LG and he recommended one plus N10 and I'm glad I did it's a wonderful replacement for my LG. Rest in peace LG.
I'm currently scouting through to see if anyone else addresses this issue. I bought this phone recently, fell in love with it for the 6 ram, display quality, and having my first phone with more than 1 camera. I'd like to know: is there ANY way to take photos in the PNG format? I like to take photography of anything I can find, mainly my mom's garden, and the fact that it takes JPEG's is a big pain in the rear. My previous phone (Alcatel Fierce 4) took beautiful images if you played with the focusing enough, and could then edit the photo however you liked. Please help! If there is no way to take PNG's, then I'm afraid I may have lost with this phone :( Because better photos was one of the main reasons I looked into it.
Please help me understand why only 1 OS upgrade is such a bad thing. I got a Lenovo ThinkBook laptop the same day I got my OnePlus Nord 10N 5G and it has Windows 10 Pro with zero OS upgrade.
The one downside to that is because once you get the OS upgrade you will lose security updates after 2 years so the phone is effectively dead in 3 years. if you're only looking to get a phone that will last a couple of years that's fine but if you're wanting longevity I wouldn't go with this. It's a really good phone if you're wanting something that's solid fastand offers all of the great features that you expect in a modern smartphone
Great review both content and presentation. And Im a hard dog to please. My motoG power 8 battery has stopped being amazing. I'm hard on my phones and if they live for 2 years than I've done well $200 - $250 was my max. Long battery and fast charge is top of my list but the new Moto g's don't impress not compared to this one. the moto stylus 2021 has the same battery spec. and processor. I take the nord and 5g please. I'm also an original One Plus one customer. I think that and the one plus 5 were phenomenal phone for the price and time. But when they started to offer only top line specs just below top line price I bailed. to a brief visit with LG (never had a good LG phone experience), I landed on the moto G power line and that wonderful battery life and did all I needed. But now I'm going back to one plus nord-10 5g
Thanks for the props, Charlie, and for sharing your piece on your phones. The competition in the low-mid range is awesome right now. Motorola was ruling it for awhile, but now we have Samsung and TCL putting serious money in it, and (I hope) what seems like OnePlus slowly remembering its roots. They just need to improve their update cycles and bug fixes and trust will be restored.
I'm getting no One Plus North 10 5G in June I have a Motorola stylus 5G right now which Motorola their phone sucks so I'm going to upgrade to OnePlus phone I'm very excited I'll talk to a person on my phone company and they said that Motorola it's not the best phone the one plus is and Samsung
@@gearupaaron I got it this morning, I got it to where it has everything and I like.how you can change the little icon for an app but I do only miss 1 thing from.samsung and that's the galaxy themes. Other than that it works and feels great
My dinosaur "Nuu X4" smartphone is almost dead, & new batteries are not to be had for love or money. I read a "Consumer Reports" report of "The Best Smartphones for 2021." Based on that information, I bought an "N10" because of its; high "Consumer Reports" rating; battery performance; loud audio; & reasonable price. Most of the other "bells & whistles" are more than I need, or even understand. I'm from a different century & time (1953). That aside, "Dick Tracy's 2-way wrist radio" couldn't begin to match the "N10" (Ha-Ha-Ha!). Kind regards!
Thanks so much for sharing your experience with your new toy! I don't believe age should be seen as a hindrance to using new technology - I'm glad you're willing to try something new and try to use the way it was intended. Props to you! ✌️💯
@@gearupaaron What alternative do I have? If I'm facing an emergency while out & about, a cell phone can be the difference between life & death (I didn't mean for that to sound so dramatic). I didn't buy a cell phone as an affectation, or to "Keep up with the Jones's," in this day & age, one has to keep up & stay current as a matter of self preservation. I was an adult before the age of mass computer & cell phone usage, I didn't grow up with them. Every time I've had to learn a new gizmo, it's been accompanied by a lot of mental pain & anguish. "RUclips" videos have been some help, but so far they assume the viewer has a degree of tech-user sophistication I don't possess. Fortunately I have a neighbor in his late 20s who can help me out. I won't have the phone for a few days yet, it's still in transit. Thanks for touching base!!! Kind regards :-) !
Depending on where you live and cost, the Poco may be on equal playing field with the N10. Here in the US, it's about $100 more and doesn't support some cell providers.
Great phone for a budget phone when it works right I got mine and set it.up and everything I logged on it would attempt to reboot. I did a factory reset and it seemed to help. Then everything I would text it kick me out of the app and when I went back in I would have to retext everything. I am not impressed with this phone. Absolute junk Sending it back
I actually had a moto one 5g Ace prior to my OnePlus Nord n10 5g. And I would probably agree with your comment about it being better than the n10 except for the crazy fragile screen on the ace. I literally have always babied my phones, always clad in cases and screen protectors. I literally did nothing to cause it to completely stop responding to any touches. I really thought it had to be a one off fluke, but I'll be damned if it didn't take long for the screen on the replacement to start not responding to my touch input (although not as fatal as the first time) And the ace also hardly ever received any software updates

I bought one for the price best phone out there I went with mint mobile 1 yr subscription 180 bucks.Very Happy
According to specs listed on T- Mobile site description, this is Water and dust resistant
This guy didn't do his homework on how awesome the phone is. You can also hide the front facing camera when viewing videos, etc.
how do you stop your RINGTONE from getting low when you touch it while ringing?
It's in the settings
How to enable VoLTE in Oneplus N10? Can anybody help me???
I'm getting no One Plus North 10 5G in June I have a Motorola stylus 5G right now which Motorola their phone sucks so I'm going to upgrade to OnePlus phone I'm very excited I'll talk to a person on my phone company and they said that Motorola it's not the best phone the one plus is and Samsung
so it only works if you have T-Mobile?
5G only on T-Mobile, with LTE for most US carriers.
@@gearupaaron so there's 2 versions of the phone?
Nope, 5G works if you're TMo, but you can use the phone without 5G on most other networks and MVNOs.
@@gearupaaron oh okay thanks have a good rest of you're day
You the same! 🍻
Just bought this phone,I get it tomorrow
Noice! 👍 Let us know what you think of it, ya?
@@gearupaaron I got it this morning, I got it to where it has everything and I like.how you can change the little icon for an app but I do only miss 1 thing from.samsung and that's the galaxy themes. Other than that it works and feels great
I'm torn between moto ace and this one
That's a tough call. Would really boil down to price, then. Are you shopping for a new phone right now?
This phone is come in india ?
It's already in India for around 24k rupees, iirc.

Amazing phone 💪💪💪💪💪
I take it that you have one?
Got Android 11, today, on T-mobile.
Awesome! Now the big question is will they give you Android 12? 🤔
@@gearupaaron I dont think so, but they made the security patches, go a extra year, to a total of three. Android 11 is smooth, though.
I think the 10n is worth it. I got it unlocked on Amazon.
I absolutely love 💖🤗👍my One Plus 8 5g best phone through t-mobile I’ve ever baught very happy😊🇺🇸👏
Very nice! Thanks for sharing, Ann 🤘👊
Do a oneplus 9! video is legit
Thank you! Would be awesome to get my hands on a 9, but my show budget is pretty limited ATM, unfortunately. 🤷♂️ We'll get there!
Poco x3 vs n10 how is the best
Depending on where you live and cost, the Poco may be on equal playing field with the N10. Here in the US, it's about $100 more and doesn't support some cell providers.
@@gearupaaron I live in turkey its the same cost for me I dont play game I use social media which one buy it
Think this has sold it to me
So did you end up deciding to get it? If so and when you receive it, drop us a line to let us know what you think of it! 👍
front camera not good
It's merely okay.
Get the refurbished one, good chance it'll be android 11 not 10.
me here with android 9 for 2 years already
Android Pie is still properly legit, even if long in the tooth. Planning on upgrading soon?
@@gearupaaron Yep. Probably getting this one because I can get a discount if I get a new phone with Metro
Great phone but only one software update. Samsung gives you better deal.
I agree, Samsung has been on top of the update game.
我是一个老太太,女婿给我买了一加N10。搜索网上看手机介绍,可惜你的介绍是英文,我听不懂。
This was the best phone I've ever had as far as performance unfortunately it took a fall 😡
Bummer! New phone time?
Great phone for a budget phone when it works right
I got mine and set it.up and everything I logged on it would attempt to reboot. I did a factory reset and it seemed to help. Then everything I would text it kick me out of the app and when I went back in I would have to retext everything. I am not impressed with this phone. Absolute junk
Sending it back
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
that you
Who me?
Piece of crap. After two service providers and two plus hours with Verizon tech support can't get text to work. Don't do it
Actually this review made me decide NOT to get it
Whatcha going with instead?
@@gearupaaron No clue
Motorola one 5g ace is so much a better phone.
I really thought it had to be a one off fluke, but I'll be damned if it didn't take long for the screen on the replacement to start not responding to my touch input (although not as fatal as the first time)
And the ace also hardly ever received any software updates
There is lots of better phones for less price.
True, but 5G with this kind of performance?
@@gearupaaron Better. For example mi 10t lite or Realme 7 5g or Oppo Reno 4z 5g. Just few but could be more.
@@TranceMusic20 OPPO and redmi don't do a lot of North america frequency bands so they are not only not better, they are irrelevant for me.
This oneplus nord n10 5g is trash 🗑️
