  • Thanks to Ducati Preston I had the 698 Hypermotard for a few days to truly see how it performed as a regular road bike. Thoroughly enjoyable experience through the roads of Cumbria.
I hope you enjoy the video.

You’re never too old. The riding position is quite good.

Give me a B road, a 30 year old back and some cornering skills I’d love it, but at 64 I’ll stick with my Multi. There is room in the garage though🤣
PS. The Aprilia sounds good in the background.

its a comfy bike.. it has a typical euro5 lean under 5K rpm.. but it rides and tips in brilliantly.. i got one alongside my 950

If you could only have one which would it be?

Tough question. I suppose the multistrada as I can do everything on it. If it's a choice between 890r and Mono it would be the mono

I truly enjoyed your real world review. As you rightly said, all the other reviews are track focused or tech spec readings. I’m a CRF250M owner that I use for commuting and also own a 2024 Triumph Street Triple RS which is lovely for a quick ride with the lads. I would like to upgrade my CRF250M for something stronger, not that it’s really needed for city commuting. Was hoping that the Ducati single would fit the bill but it’s just too strong and the fact it doesn’t have a fuel gauge is a bummer. Maybe something like the new 400’s from Triumph would do me but they’re a bit small in size. The Duke 390 is nice but small as well. The only bike worth considering is the old DRZ400 from Suzuki. It does look a bit dated though doesn’t it?

Have you considered the orange 🍊 790 adventure

@@stevesherlockrides I did and went to the dealership to see it in person. It just doesn’t look right. I know this might sound daft but I can never love that machine.
