Ordered mine last month and I just received it yesterday. It is absolutely an amazing gimmick. Definitely quality and even though you need subtitles for the tutorials they are very easy to follow and in HD. You can easily let your spectator check the gimmick out and they won’t find a thing unless you let them man handle it , but as long as you are in control of the situation everything will be fine. Showed this to my fiancé who is usually my biggest critic and she loved it. If you don’t have it get it. Well worth the 100 dollars and again definitely a quality Gimmick and trick. Thanks David for the review.
So I have the metal block, the phone and now this. Holywood really beats them all. Orthodoxy isn’t kidding when he says you just go doing stuff to this. It won’t work. There’s a method. Great review. I think the best part of this trick is the presentation. It’s well thought out like you mentioned.
Is the card box damaged over time, like the matchbox is? Because I remember there being a distinct "move" that made the brass block in the matchbox examinable, but it always ruined the matchbox over time. Probably why I didn't perform that version more really.
Hi David, as always a great review. Thanks. I noticed that the wood grain on the small sides doesn't follow the grain from the front/back. When you cut a block of wood in 2 the small sides will not look like this. What are your thoughts about this? Isn't that a problem that other spectators will notice also?
Set and reset are quick (15 seconds) and easy(If I can do it, it’s easy). People love it! Just watch the tutorial a couple times and present it your own quick way. Prop does the rest.
Very nice review thanks. I think you should keep the please subscribe brief at the start for retention then you can do a longer pitch at the end after the review.
I think there was an older version of this with a metal block called Industrial Revelation. I'm not sure which is better, since they're both virtually the same, but the metal block has a more similar weight to an actual deck of cards, but the wood version has that extra patter and story where you can mention going "back in time" and reversing the cards back to wood. Love this trick, but I think it's a little expensive. Definitely get the price and think it's worth it, but $100 is still a lot lol.
This looks very impressive. I would be concerned about a delicate gimmick because the first thing that a spectator is going to do is to pull and tug on it.
I mean, we all know how it works but I can’t believe the gimmick is so well made… still haven’t bought this one because I’m afraid I can get only a couple of uses in before things become obvious.
David, I’m a huge fan, and as you know, downloads are coming out faster than one would think possible- Penguin alone has 6 or 7 every day, and except for Joseph B., most don’t even take the time to write up their promo blurbs in something vaguely resembling English; anyway, there are two out now that are both relatively expensive yet look intriguing- would it be possible to review MindCaan and Mail Delivered? Thanks....
If you are thinking of making your own don’t bother. I just spent my weekend making one.(-ish) I was able to fool a couple people but even though I handed out my homemade version of the gimmick and they didn’t discover the method I still don’t feel comfortable handing my cheesy version out. When you consider the time it takes to build one to enough precision, it’s easier just to buy the good gimmick from its originator . Funny thing is, I do this all the time, always come to the same conclusion and still try to do it again. I guess that’s what you get growing up 1000 miles from the magic shop before there was an interwebs.
If I wanted to print something besides a card box... or is the card box he provides part of the prop? I'm always thinking outside the box. lol I have an idea I believe would get lots of laughs! -keith

Right on
Yet another astute, informative, and balanced review.
thanks Bruce
Thanks for great review I appreciate these reviews
My pleasure!

nope
I have this same trick with a block of steel in the card box. I like the shock on there face when you hand them the card case🤣
yes !!!
looks great! thanks for the review🙏
Thanks for watching
Great review David, thanks👍. This is something I'm definitely interested in. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on this.
nice
Cool effect and review😊👏👍👍
Thank you 🤗
David, i buy this thanks to you, its great!!! Love it✌🏼
Glad you enjoy it!
Hi David. Just got this. I’m finding it near impossible to “set” the gimmick! Any thoughts?
sorry no
@ cheers anyway……I’m no muscle beach goer but Jesus h…..tighter than my bosses wallet.
Congratulations on 42.000 Subsribers🤙👌
Thank you so much 😀
Great vid.
So, there are NO playing cards included? I have to use my own Bicycle playing card/s?
That is correct
This is the trick of year for me.
I bet for a lot of people
Don’t drop it, keep in cool dry place, don’t get it wet… is the gimmick a gremlin? Lol. Great review.
Mowgwai
Don’t feed it after midnight 😂

Thanks for sharing!
Can this easily switched in for the ending of an ambitous card routine?
I think that'd be cool
Fantastic review. An impossible penetration magic effect of this caliber will raise "eyebrows" and, hopefully, "open doors". Thanks David.
YES !!!

Jaimie D Grant brought this out years ago. Called Industrial Revolution
Most lay people will try to pull the block apart and that always ultimately exposes the secret.
Love it...I have the matchbook! 👍
It's so good!
@@magicorthodoxy send me one! lol
I saw this trick on RUclips a few days ago. I think it is a new take on Industrial Revelation, Metal Phone, Matchbox penetration etc.
Thanks for watching
Unlike industrial revelation it won’t rip a hole in your suit jacket!
This looks very impressive. I would be concerned about a delicate gimmick because the first thing that a spectator is going to do is to pull and tug on it.
@@jacka8404 they wouldn't know to pull on it ... and pulling on it wont work anyway. :)
As always a great Review!😁
Thanks again!
Love this Product. I own one and its Beautiful in every aspect...from artbox to gimmick
Totally agree!
I was going to buy punct, but I held off because it seemed like too much of a prop to walk around with. This is awesome!!
I carry punct without the case. Its smaller than this trick
Awesomeness!
YES it is !!!
Jay Sankey’s gimmick in “Camouflage” could be used to show illusion of a deck of cards inside card box …. thanks for the review David 👍🏻👍🏻
Good call!
I mean, we all know how it works but I can’t believe the gimmick is so well made… still haven’t bought this one because I’m afraid I can get only a couple of uses in before things become obvious.

@@magicorthodoxy i did^^ I need an update from someone who’s been using this regularly tho.
Interesting idea to use wood instead of a heavy metal block. So tempting to order.
:D
Great review. If only there was a version that allowed for instant reset for strolling.
we can't have everything - LOL
How does this compare to metal phone by joao miranda? I mean metal phone has a locking mechanism and is more modern.
I've never had metal phone ... sorry
I have both and metal phone locks yes. This does not. But let me tell you holywood is what I’ll be using from now on.
I have both and Holy wood is better. Much better presentation than Metal phone and way more organic. I will be using this over Metal phone.
@@stephenreinheimer4592 yup i agree. And the price alone makes it even that much better
I have metal phone ..is it the same method ? This might be too slimzy for me ..metal phone rocks.
you should always perform with what you love
If I can break the gimmick playing with it without instructions, can someone break it examining it? Is it fragile enough for that to happen?
YOU know what it does, they don't. They won't try to "examine it"
@@magicorthodoxy this great advice so to speak. We should us this thinking in all our magic. Sometimes
We forget.
Can you review Method 01 by Calen Morelli please?
I dont have it, sorry
1st, 2nd, and 3rd batches sold out already! 😩
yup
Can this trick be performed infinite times?
This is a great trick and it has a nice gimmick... cool review sir!
It really is!

Like you said, they're coming too fast. LoL
Went to buy it and they are already sold out. Hopefully they will be producing some more.
oh wow - maybe ebay?
@@magicorthodoxy no luck. But if they get enough emails, I bet they will put out another round. I mean... there's money in them there hills ;-)

When you say it’s hard and not as self working as we’d like, is it harder to reset than say Industrial Revelation?
i've never had Industrial Revelation - sorry
I think so. Yes. Literally harder to do the thing you do to reset.
I'm subscribed to both channels! Just saying 🤣🤣
SWEET
神木 is pronounced shen mu. (shen2 mu4 with tone marks). It means Holy Wood as expected. :)
ok
Technically, it is a easy trick. For an appropriate presentation, it’s not so easy.
