I switched from A5 Disc-bound to a Passport TN (for my purse) and Standard TN for my desk. Trying to move into something more portable, and I don't need as much space as I used to because I'm an empty nester, and I don't put any work-related stuff in my planners, except for when I have to travel for a meeting or training. I ordered Sterling Ink blank notebooks in the B6 size and created some monthly and weekly layouts to experiment with. I am getting close to retirement, so I'm not going to need as much "real estate" in the future, but I will still need space for checklists, chores, appointments, notes, and the like. I plan on being very busy in retirement, with lots of trips, volunteer work, etc. The passport size is so cute, but the older I get, the worse my eyesight, and the larger my handwriting, so I think B6 will be the "sweet spot" for me in the future! I like the process of creating my own layouts and adding just a little bit of washi/stickers throughout, so I will probably just get a half-year blank notebook for 2025. I did the Sterling Ink sticker sub box last year and still have plenty of stickers to use in 2024 in my B6 "tester" planner! I am pretty set in my ways as far as layouts go, but I still love seeing how other people do theirs!
I think B6 sounds like a great size for you! That's what I use as my journal and I love it. And it is true that I have to write really small in this passport size, next year I might consider A6
Katie, I appreciate your videos. I am also using the Passport size as a personal planner. My work planner is A5. The Passport is so tiny and practical. I want to carry it in my handbag, and also utilize it as a wallet. Waiting for my Moterm Companion as cover. What I have learned is that it evolves all the time. Hopefully this will bring me planner peace. Please keep up with your videos, really helpful😁🐞
Happy New Year !! Thanks for sharing Katie, I have been staring at my very blank A5 Stirling Ink planner I intend to use solely for me, self care, crafting etc. I picked up a few good tips from you (as I always do). Loving your pens, I'm just getting into trialing very beginner fountain pens and am enjoying them but of course I want all the colours.......I'm holding off the temptation until my lettering improves.
I love all of your ideas and it is looking so cute! I am using mine as an everyday everything. All of my to-dos and whatever I think of are in my weekly section, and then for monthly, it is a sticker a day. My yearly spread is going to be a word a day. I am also trying to make it minimal and cute by just using the color purple in this passport. I am not very creative and don't have cute handwriting so this gives it a bit of a flare. I'm curious, did you mention what you are using the back pages for?
Sounds like you have a great system! I didn't mention it in this video, but I'm using it for daily lists. There's a setup video on my channel from a couple weeks ago (although I've already tweaked a couple things)
This was super helpful! Today is my first day in my Sterling Ink Planner and the lack of structure befuddled me a little. Thanks for sharing!
I'm so glad! Good luck-- you've got this!

Oooh very exciting that you're starting your fountain pen journey! I hope you love it as much as I do, Donna! 💕
I’m using the N1 (Standard TN) as my wellness/personal planner. I like your approach to habit development.
N1 seems like a fun size!
Great setup ideas, it's helped me decide how to best use my passport Sterling Ink!
Oh good, that warms my heart to hear! Best of luck-- I hope you love it as much as I do!

love the setup! do you happen to know if they discontinued the passport size? i haven't been able to find it on their site :(
@@livsommers no I don't think it's discontinued, they just haven't restocked them. I would be very very surprised if they aren't in the 2025 lineup
@@KatiesCraftStudio thank you for letting me know!
