I urge you to give the rubber seal an occasional treatment with a rubber care product (like Armor All) to keep those supple. Vertical opening luggage are known to let water get in. I have had it happen on both my 2015 RX3 (now that it's mature) and my Gold Wing.
If what you want is a dual sport for dirt riding primarily, the RX4 might not be the best as stock it isn't best suited for trails making the learning process nonoptimal.
For "learning" dirt riding, a smaller & lighter bike (and cheaper) is encouraged. I would suggest finding something used and ugly but mechanically sound, or look at CSC's TT 250 model.

Welp, I have no choice but to get one to learn dirt riding.... Would be appreciated if you can make some videos on dirt riding tips with RX4.
