RX4 - need an Intake Valve Adjustment
Просмотров 4814 года назад
Just a short little video on how I figured out I need a valve adjustment. The fuel leak on my bike was the first sign, the engine overheating and losing power was the second sign, and it’s been a good process to find out what caused these issues

Skid Plate Replacement
Просмотров 2194 года назад
Continuing to ride the moto nice and hard and somehow, someway, I cracked my skid plate. S'all good though, CSC has excellent customer service. After a quick e-mail exchange, Joey from CSC shipped me a replacement skid plate with a prepaid return shipping label to send back my cracked one. Heck yeah CSC!

CSC RX4 - Video Blog Take-off!
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.5 лет назад
Starting my video blog of my adventures on the 2020 CSC RX4. This video is testing my editing software as well as upload times. Better and more thorough videos to come.
I am a subscriber to your channel.. I have enjoyed your videos thus far. Is there any chance of an update on how life is going with the RX4?
How is it running currently period
Did you ever find aftermarket set or a different manufacturer for the front and rear sprocket? I currently have a 2023 RX4
Those adjustments do not soften your suspension at all. thats not what those settings are for
...
I live in Tulsa, ok and most shops won't touch spoked wheels around here, and the ones that do charge way more then 60 bucks LOL. Granted this video is 3 years old, everything costs way more then it did 3 years ago....
I do not own an RX4. But I am saving up to buy one. I have not been on a bike in 39 years. But still love the freedom feel. I did not understand about 70% of what you said but I liked the way you said it.
This was a known issue on the RX3 if you fitted a larger treaded rear tire; that bike is softer sprung - it could contact the airbox and potentially damage it, leading to top-end contamination which I am sure you are now an expert in! Alls well that ends well Justin, keep on riding!
I am seriously considering the RX4 has a commuter bike. I live on a dirt road and I have to travel to work on some highway and 2 lane and this seems like a good all-round bike. I have had everything from a CM200 all the way up to a Gold Wing and prefer the lighter small displacement bikes. Thanks for showing what the RX4 can do.
Hey jingles, love this vid. I just did an 8 week ride through Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize on my Vstrom I bought in Tucson. Love to talk to you about your pan American trip, I almost bought the italica v200 to make the trip (just to see if I could) I’m about to buy a 2021 CSC rx4 for my east coast adventures. Let’s chat! Might could do some of the ride together

Uuuuuuuuuum
Great intelligent review , thanks Justin.
2100 RPM idle fantastic? How many EFI motorcycles do you know that idle that high?
400 to 500 miles day.... off road...you serious ?😄
Hmm thinking about one of these. I have the hawk 250 right now witch is deck out to the max and does 70mph now... I did find a 2007 Klr 650 in perfect shape for 2900$ I just don't know witch one to get? Oh and my hawk has been reliable AF!!
why does the csc website say it has 8.1 inches of ground clearance? thought i heard you say it has less.
You might be confusing ground clearance with suspension travel. Not the same thing.
can you get beefier foot pegs? would universal ones fit it?
Well i’ve ridden my KLR 2000 miles straight and kept it pegged at 90 miles an hour most the time through South Dakota I have to disagree strongly with some of your characterizing of its handling. Mine was more than fully loaded. The one thing you failed to mention when you talk about Chinese products is that they have a wonderful history of stealing others technology and most of it goes back to the military complex. I think also with the virus that they’ve unleashed with the world death numbers well into the multiple millions, is unforgivable. Their human rights record is a little rough to swallow too. It almost sounds like you’re sponsored. No offense but you get what you pay for.
Great video I appreciate your honest review how do you think the bike would do riding 2 up at 70-75?
She still running good for you?
My question is how are the Chinese the only ones trying to give common people what they want. Cheap bikes that work
I’ve got a CSC SG250 in Flagstaff. Do you know a mechanic that would be willing to help me do the valve adjustment? I’ve been too ashamed to take mine to a mechanic after reading how many won’t touch a chinese bike.
What size is the tanks and what is the actual mileage? What are the service intervals ? Do you get an owners manual and a shop manual ? When you received the bike, how much assembly did you need to do ? Is the plastic quality or cheap ? Would you buy it again ?
CSC is building a good products at a amazing prices. I like you calling about the A-holes. Thank you for sharing your experience, opinions and rationalization process.
China can make fantastic copies of Japanese designs. My TT250 has over 14k miles and running strong
Pretty funny. Just started watching this video and realized that I previously watched and commented 10 months ago. I bought a used RX-3 and it’s pretty amazing. I logged more miles on the RX-3 this year than on my Ducati. I actually find it more enjoyable to ride. Looking at getting a new RX-4.
WOW, something so simple and hard to miss. But even bunch crap inside the engine still working its something of miracle. Thanks for the update!!
Yea CSC has an excellent staff regardless of any issue the product may have.
Welcome back bro nice to see ya again with rx4
It has been a while, good to see you back.
Glad you made an update video!
OMFG I just asked you for an update video and you fulfilled my wish! Thank You!
You are super welcome. Thank you for the reminder! I need encouragement sometimes.
An update please? Is the bike fixed?
Just rode a Rx3 in the Himalayas for two weeks. Approx 2k off road. Fantastic. Other European bikes had problems. Rx, not one. Will be buying an RX4 in the US.
I bought a ninja 250 in 2002. Bought a Qianjiang "virago 250" in 2004. The QJ was retired in 2007 due to a myriad of safety issues that were not cost effective to attempt to fix. The ninja runs great to this day. I'm sure the landscape has changed but I just want to thank you for letting me know how much of an idiot I am for my slightly cynical view of chinese motorcycles.
I’m waiting on the rx6 to hit the market
I was thinking about getting one but if you have to adjust the valves every 5,000 miles then screw that. Thats way too often.
What kind of tank bag do you have?
how much did you use for the intake gap and how much for the exhaust gap in millimeters? thank you
Hey are you ok? Any update on your bike?
This is the kind of terrain I would drive on. Too many reviewers think this is a ktm 350 exc.
Any ideas on upgrades to the windshield? I like to ride up the cold but I can’t find any brands for csc.
Ever figure out the issue? I noticed you stopped posting. I had an issue where my harness caught fire and shorted out the bike badly. I replaced it myself using the parts warranty (although I could have used labor too). ABS/speed doesn't work and they are sending me new ABS wires. Hopefully it's not the ABS module or ECU
I live in Sierra Vista and acquired an RX3 from a GI from Fort Huachuca and used it to commute to work in Bisbee. My work would occasionally take me to Tucson and Nogales so I needed a bigger bike so I got a new RX4 which does better on expressways among larger vehicles. I live some ways off of pavement and the RX4 takes the washboard better.
Check out evans waterless coolant, it has an absurdly high boiling point compared to traditional coolant
Hi, any updated for your RX4 , thanks I appreciated.
Thanks for the CSC info Justin look forward to joining the Fraternity of hard working CSC Motorcycle owners and ride such a practical good motorcycle.
We are friend bro...I am also have one this bike..I always travel with this bike when I have free time..frm malaysia
People make comments when you have to tighten bolts...I don't get it either...I check the bolts on the bikes I own regardless of brand. I like the fact that CSC is bringing these bikes to the US and charging very little over their price to get them to your door...way better than the exaggerated dealer fees for most "name brand" new bikes. I've been considering a 2021 RX4...as I enjoy some of the upgrades they offer now, such as the TFT display and tubeless spoke rims.
China is communist. That’s the difference.
