I'm guessing Rude was used to it. If I recall correctly, him and Henning were high school buddies. That's how Rude got into wrestling.

i find it odd that people all spoke highly of Rude, considering that he is well known for going to bars with his wife. Having her sit by herself til she gets hit on, then Rude would go and KTFO these guys. These are just average bar bums, not fighters. And both Rude and his wife thought this type of thing was fun.

Yes, but from what I can see, Rick got out in time and made a good life for himself. He reached an age of notoriety among wrestling fans to be a class act, able to share stories like this. I've always been a Steiner bros. fan. Scott as cookeydooks as he is, is always a favorite of mine as well.

I could see how they fell for it. Guys that are cut usually aren't great arm wrestlers. It's like the strongman competitions. Guys like Mark Henry are usually great arm wrestlers.

Even though these guys weren't home very much with their families, judging from all the stories you hear from the older wrestlers, they had a blast when they were on the road.
Get this, I'm not even a wrestling fan. I just watch YT videos like this because the behind the scenes shit is entertaining as hell.
Well they spent so much TIME on the road, they'd have to have a few good stories, but otherwise it had to be hell on earth just driving from one podunk to another 300 days a year to put on wrestling-shows all day.
Just like Lex Luger’s ring name, Rick Rude was the “Total Package”. He was able to excel in so many different things it was intimidating. RIP And RIP to Curt Hennig, Bossman, Ultimate Warrior, Andre the Giant, Owen Hart, Eddie Guerrero, Piper and to everyone else that passed away too early. RIP 🥺😢😭
Hennig's hustle was absolutely perfect.

He was one of the toughest. The toguhest ever: Iron Sheik (lots of people vouch for him and he was the same inside and outside the ring, on and off the screen), Rick Rude, Scott Steiner, etc

In the late 1980's, I watched Rick Rude and Jake The Snake wrestle. I can still remember Rude spitting on Jake Roberts and Jake saying, "You son of a bitch." It was a house show or whatever, but it was cool. Pensacola, FL. Civic Center.

This is my first time hearing rick Steiner really talking because as a kid I thought when he was stunning that's how he talk I never heard him talk like he talking now..
So many of these wrestlers I wish I could have met before their passing: Roddy Piper, Macho Man, Ultimate Warrior, The Road Warriors, Rick Rude, Mr. Perfect, British Bulldog, Vader, Andre the Giant and the list goes on.
Cherish these guys! Have Rude Hennig and Bossmans Autographs and WILL ALWAYS cherish my photos! Such a shame they died so young! Feel so lucky to have a piece of them that will always remain prestigious!

Rude used to be a bouncer though and from countless stories, a guy you didn't want to mess with. No quit in him & legit tough as nails. The only 2 I've ever heard being more tough than Rude was Harley Race & Haku.

Arm wrestling is actually an amazing sport that has been growing extremely fast lately. The current right arm world champion is Levan Saginashvili. A monstrous man from the country of Georgia. Since turning pro, he hasn’t lost a single round. Definitely recommend checking out some arm wrestling videos here on RUclips. Lot’s of great history, amazing matches, and interesting characters.
Dumb question, but with the strength that pro arm wrestlers have, why dont arms get broken more often? These guys are strong as hell, and put way more than their arms into it. You see people break a limb falling off a bike, idk it just surprises me a human bone can take that kind of stress.
