Tr8s rules. Once, a long time ago, in the very early eighties, we made our way down south to Guitar Center, Minneapolis, looking at and demoing the ARP Quadra. They had a hidden room downstairs where my buddy and I saw, to our surprise, Morris Day and Jesse Johnson surrounding A table while Prince was demoing the latest Lynn Drum that was available. We didn’t disturb them cause, us northern rockers hadn’t heard of their universal popularity yet but local uprisings. We thought to ourselves, “ what the hell is this world coming to with these abominable drum machines?” Well, then there’s the rest of the story…
Thank you Echo Kraft for the update. I have owned a few Linn Drums but prices got so high I had to take the money. Looking forward to this Behringer version along with the BMX. Currently, I use a Roland TR8s with Linn Drum and DMX samples.

$699 is my guess. But I'm snapping one up DAY ONE!!! I used to own a Linn Drum early 2000s. Bought it for around $500. Sent it out to FORAT to get the GOOD TOMS installed. The Prince and Peter Gabriel toms, not these Art of Noise factory toms. No slight against the AON-- I love them, but only a fan of those toms when THEY use them. But I was starting my family and had to eventually sell the Linn for about what I paid for it. Of course they've skyrocketed in price now.
Put a gated reverb on these and they sound huge.Think of The Cars..Drive, pretty sure that's a Linn Drum processed by Mutt Lange. I love the top panel controls, ind outputs, and lack of menu diving on the LInn. The Yamaha DM's in the 80's were the RX series. They were not as phatt as the LM. The secret is the 8bit sample. Absolutely love that sound.
I think this is their biggest move since "We're gona clone the O.G Rolands" They've been doing the electronic Gorts work since then with a LOT of stuff but as Drum Machines go.... This is right up there. AND they keep them cheap! Gorts work, i tell thee.
did you say this thing can sample too?? this thing could be really cool, Guitar Center is pretty awesome. All things equal I will choose sweetwater because they give you that 2 year service warranty for free on most things. I tested that once, they let me return a synth I had for 6 or more months and let me try something else 👍
Linn Drum is apples. 808 is oranges. Not fair to compare them. They are different animals used for different genres and some of the same genres. Neither of them is "better" than the other.
why doesn't Samrai get the free valhala massive ...only vickings can save him now ! ..... the super massive is free and almost if not same quality as Eventide Space/lexicon/Strymon sky quality
I loved going to Daddy's Junky music back in the day, really miss that store.🤖♥️
That intro tune is excellent! It gave me shivers! Kudos!
I can't wait 😊😊😊
Yamaha QY300 drum machine

$599.
Considering they can buy used Digitakt for 450 and stick it in their LMDrum case that price sounds about right.

That would be cool!

@@smartti1970 he hates plug-ins he hates VST’s. He won’t even use a DAW.
My favorite with the XS-707
@@EchoKraft then he needs either Eventide Space or Strymon Big Sky don't you think ? or what other alternative ?
He’ll find that the Big Sky will serve him well but, like most of us, you’ve got to be approved by the boss, depending on the budget. Lol
