We shouldn't forget that India signed a renewed LNG deal worth 78 billion USD on 6th February with Qatar. Perhaps this deal might have helped the negotiation.
Qatar isn't a poor country that can be bought with the money, or deal. It's through Iran some deal was stuck. Iran's isolation currently, and then its influence on Qatar is the key here. U and I can only assume based on our leanings
