Farmers Club Chivi - Building Community Resilience Against Climate Change Impact

One of projects supported by UFF is in Zimbabwe, Makoni district where 200 small holder farmers who comprise of former TB clients, TB clients and the elderly received trainings on climate friendly agriculture methods such as conservation farming which bases on three principles that is minimum soil disturbance, mulching and inter cropping. The farmers were encouraged to grow small grains which are drought resistant crops. For water management, farmers were equipped with knowledge and skills on water harvesting and recharging water sources. For more information about farming clubs see attached video.
