Bought a Citigo Monte Carlo in 2015 . It replaced a top of range fabia estate which I had for 10 years, nothing wrong with it but sadly our dog died in the back while my wife was giving him mouth to mouth, so we couldn't keep it. I have to say the Monte Carlo was the most surprising car I have ever had. On long runs/ motorway journeys it was so comfortable. Sweet engine , loved revving it. Ok small boot but we knew that but managed to take all our bags and food when we went on holiday. Few months after we got the car we bought two Yorkiepoo sisters and then 18 months later a rescue dog from Spain. We needed a bigger car so got a Mitsubishi ASX. Bought my wife a Kia picanto last year again lovely engine noise and a great small car.
Sorry to hear that David. We had an old cat that died on a journey with the caravan in tow once. It was awful. Pleased you had happier times with your cars 😁 Trev
I am not surprised it was comfortable on long journeys the motorways are just about the only roads you can use without having to stop to retrieve bits that have sheared or been ripped off underneath by the highways dept, its getting to the point where a visa to Australia is advisable just in case.

I'm hoping to buy a 2016 Skoda citigo Monte Carlo in the next couple of weeks. It will be my first real purchase!! Looks a fantastic, reliable little car and looking forward to hopefully owning one!
They are great little cars which get you from A to B really well. We get around 40 mpg in town and have had 65 mpg on longer journeys. Ours has 36,000 miles on the clock and we have only had to replace the front brake discs, pads and all 4 tyres. Otherwise it’s been stress free motoring 😃 good luck with your new purchase 👍🏻🚗 Trev

What a nice car! I do think it is weird to see you driving on the opposite side as us, but it is cool too! There is more room than I would have expected in it. 40-70 mpg (UK) is really good! Wish we could get that here. lol!
It’s a 3 cylinder 1 litre engine but it’s a nippy little car. We need it to be able to get down little roads and lanes. Thanks for watching our videos, we really appreciate it 😁 Trev n Sue

Love the inside and how it has the race car feature themed. :) Fabians fav colors are red, white, and black so he wouldn’t mind that. Plates really easy to remove. Are you all not afraid of others taking it?? Thanks for sharing.

These cars are really spacious but there are also compromises as you would expect. For what they are, there is no complaints 😁 cheers Mark 👍🏻 Trev
We had the option for the Volksvagen based range such as the Skoda through the Bentley employees family & freinds scheme but I opted for a Citreon C1 which shares the same floorpan as Peugeot & Toyota versions. I got a good deal on two vehicles. I now have to commit to an A frame choice for one of them now.
We used TowAFrame as you know. It was better for us as we could use a local garage who was their agent. Saved travelling long distance if any issues. 😁 Trev

Great little car. Love the interior looks great, plenty of room in the car and the boot. Our second car is a small Twingo, its ok but the only down side is the engine is in the boot and its rear wheel drive. Will look at the Skoda when we come to change the Twingo. I realised after filming that the new Citigo is now only available as an electric car. I will check it out and report back. I am sure there are some good used ones out there though like one we found. Thanks for watching 😊 Trev
That’s another option for our second car, electric. It won’t do much mileage of travel any great distance so looks a viable option 🤔
Costs are a concern but maybe a rental or lease may work ?

Go fast stripe. I didn't know that was a universal thing lol. I love your little car. Tiny, but quite sporty. Really like the interior. Feel like it's a pain that you have to remove your plate to tow. Interesting, though. I hadn't heard that before. Road tax? Haven't heard of that before either. It's cool that the miles don't rack up while towing. Far as I know, none of the US cars have that feature. You ever seen the Benji Movies? Your pup reminds me very much of Benji. I was a big Benji fan lol.

I wish insurance on my citigo was £240😂
P.R is it because you are younger or have not built up a no claims bonus ? Without cheap insurance it wouldn’t really be cost effective to tow the little car. Best wishes 🙂 Trev
Poshcats Camping thank you Trevor and yes I am a young driver just passed my test last year and I am waiting to build up no claims. Plus did your citigo come with the garmin sat nav as an option? I want to know because it’s quite an expensive bit of kit used.
Kia picanto GT line s far better spec car and better engine also proper rear electric windows And the Disc brakes all round .Own both and would pick the picanto GT line s all day long due to it handling better and being more sure footed.
Sounds great. We wanted a European car due to a bad experience in our family with Kia and the local dealership. We are happy with the Skoda and Simpsons of Gt Yarmouth. Of course it’s what I call a “puddle jumper” but it serves a purpose. Once we downsize the van, I will probably get a more luxurious car again 😃 Thanks for your advice and comments 👍🏻 Trev
