- The Killers new song, as performed at the London Scala on June 23rd 2011.
AMAZING ARTISTS!!!!!! :D
Best regards from The Killers' Queen in Spain! XD Видеоклипы
A true Killers fan loves all their songs. Because in each of their song there's a hidden pearl. You just haven't discovered them all yet...
people need to quit hating!!
no he hasnt been screaming his songs lately, Flowers has an amazing voice. remember that they were taking a break. The vocal range is different in The Killers than in his solo work. He's just getting back into the swing of things =)
as they always do, sounds great, I do not imagine when the song is complete and the rest of the album... is real THE KILLERS are Back!... greetings from Venezuela
The Killers are my absolute favorite band and have been for the past 7 years of my life. What appeals to me the most about them is that I don't necessarily fall in love with their songs on the first listen. They take time to appreciate, but once you get there they're classics. Sam's Town is my favorites Killers album, but they ALL have a special place in my heart like I know their next one will too. :)
I love this song!!!!!!!
I cant believe i was there when they played it first O_O i dont think ive ever screamed so much in my life as when Brandon said they was doing a new song :')
This... Album... Will... ROCK!!!
I am jumping for joy alongside my jaguars.
I CAN'T WAIT. IT'S BEEN A YEAR.
Excellent voice, synths & guitar. In my opinion, one of the best songs of "Battle Born" album. This first version is slightly better than the final version.
Fans slagging them off is just them wanting more 'Hot Fuss' style music from the Killers, who are a band that like to explore music styles. Personally my favorite album was 'Sam's Town', everything from 'When You Were Young' to 'For Reasons Unknown', but I don't think any less of Killer's fans who aren't 'Sam's Town' fans as well.
this song couldn't be more killers... how are people not getting it?
THE KILERS ROCKS rock on!!!
I am in fucking love with this...Studio version should be badass
I'm so happy it is going to be on Battle Born.. I wanted it so much on the new album! Gotta like the melody and the keyboard riff
gud quality!!! thanks!!!!
It makes me happy to see them together again the way its meanty to be :)
I cannot wait..this is going to be amazing..like everything they do of course.
I love it already. Looking forward to the new album.
A present for all you Victims out there!
I was there. Yep.
The song sounds older then what it is and it's great sounds like an 70's rock song when he's saying you can't escape the rising of the tide
love to hear dave getting it done on guitar
Amazing on all levels! Can't wait for the album, can't wait for the concerts. As for Brandon's high notes, have some compassion for the poor guy! He just sung an entire concert and now he's pulling out a new, unfinished song from under his metaphorical music belt. Have you ever sung for more than an hour at a time? You haven't? Well I have and after a while your range gets rapidly shorter and if you go long enough then you lose your voice completely. Wait for the song release before you judge.
this song has got some freaking potential~
i can imagine them really vamping the studio version... its got some of the intensity that i've been missing since sams town to be honest~! (this river is wild kinda intensity... thats what im TALKING about!!)
New album is called Battle Born
I like this song already! Thank you for this! And his hair cut is a little strange though.
with a little more work, this is gonna be a hit..! i can't wait for the new album!!! :D
grandeeeeeeeee flowers!
Sam's Town is my favorite Killers album too. When You Were Young and For Reasons Unknown are my favorite songs from Sam's Town too. Funny that.
May 24 2012 DATE when the Album Comes Out
THUMBS ME UP for the killers fan can know
Oh God I cant wait for Battle Born to be out!!
It'll be amazing just like all of their albums and songs! :D
I'm so glad they perfected this song now. Absolutely love the killers but his video is painful to watch
I don't understand how anyone can call any of their albums or songs shit, because they're not! It just personal preference what type of sound from the killers you prefer... Personally i think all their albums are as good as each other and every album has a few stand out songs which make you think jesus thats another great song (as in one of the best of the decade so far).
Mr Brightside (and ATTTID)/ Read my mind/ Sam's Town (Abbey road)/ A dustland fairytale and off BF's album Crossfire...
No name has been given yet.
@kale1999 thats real music. 90% of your mega famous bands are so magically produced that they can't perform those notes live. I thought this was known to the mainstream audience by now. Still, I happen to love the killers.
My bbs are back
i fuckin love this song
No puedo esperara para el nuevo album
@BornToRun24 actually who used to love Hot fuss have to love The rising tide, this sounds really like first Killers. I was there and it was great to hear a new song, even if Brandon wasn't still ready to sing it :P the lyrics are very good and they can be related to the latest Killers' works, D&A and Flamingo, but the sound is different. I am a great fan since Hot Fuss and ehi, I missed thos guitar lines so much.
I like it. I love the ditty of the keys in the background - it's 80s throwback of sorts.
That said, the music escalates in an up-tempo direction without break (barring the guitar solo) - there's no experimentation. Also, Brandon's begun to scream a lot, which is a bit contrived. His voice is consistently powerful. Maybe he can bring back a whimper, or some emotion into it.
Its a nice song though. :)
This is the first time he sang the song; he knows he messed up the first time because he corrected it the next time around on the chorus; you try singing that loud and perfect; jeez he was only off for like 1 second! He is still a more developed singer than other rock bands and can convey more class than any other other frontman.
I really like this song. It grows on you and have to play it alot. Hope this is on the new album..........When is the new album coming? Hope soon!
@123AhhFreakOut I went to their concert for the first time when Day & Age came out. I can't wait for their new album to come out because I want to go see them again in concert. I guess it'll be another year or so t'ill they'll start touring again. :)
Where has all the grit gone? Its all happy songs since Day & Age
I WANT A MORE ELECTRONIC, HOT FUSS-ISH FOURTH ALBUM FROM THE KILLERS.
i'm a huge fan of them and i love Day & Age, Flamingo is too... "las vegas" and Sawdust... it is not my favorite for sure...
i don't know what i think of this song, but there is something that makes me think that the knew album it's gonna be awesome!
:D Brandon looks so different!
This song has good potential...sounds a bit 80's and I dont understnad the long intro, but the lyrics are solid and I think theyre on the right track for the next album
@malicestories I've noticed this too. It sounds... like he's straining or forcing the sound out. And sometimes it can sound weird because he doesn't have much a voice range.
kinda wished they will return to their hot fuss style. still this song is awesome
@BornToRun24 I agree, I've been a fan since i was about 5. I'll always love all of their work:D
this still has a little of flamingo in it.
I hope he go's back to the killers mode all the way.
@santamariaabalos
thanks. much appreciated!
@thetalentedmrman IMO all albums are epic. The two I like most is Day & Age and Hot fuss. His voice is NOT whiney in any album, but I'd agree it's a bit in this video.
sams town was the best i think not as catchy as hot fuss but i never get sick of it
@QLFILMS Not much! Scala is a very tiny place, like 4 hours on the beneath the rain, but worth of it every single second!!
I like the Killers, but damn Brandon...watch those high notes...
@malicestories yeah i noticed that too. and sometimes his voice shakes when he does it i dont know if its intentional or not.....
I (think I) understand all of Flowers' lyrics. I haven't gotten why everyone says that they make no sense :/
They need to do more Sam's Town stuff in my opinion
@iLikeToDrum1 Don´t think they seem gay, or anything, they are just AMAAAAAAAAAZING!!!!!! You should have been in London Scala!! I have not words to explain it! :D
Well, I do enjoy all they albums, even the songs, which are not in them. But somehow only few songs from Brandon's new album suits me.
No one is allowed to make fun of Brandon messing up one of his first times performing this in front of a crowd. It didn't even sound like he messed up to me.
@fab462 I read that Ronnie said in one of his latest interviews , that would be before next year...Hope he is right and not too optimistic!!!! :D!! Can´t wait!!!!
@colinandjustinrule Because Day and Age was to mainstream and Flamingo was a solo album.
@ccbc23 Agree.
@737FSPilot well. whenever it is, i'll probably be there. this was the first time i've seen them as a band (brandon fowers on his own was still kinda awesome) but yeah. again, please. :')
@KewnFam By strange I meant "different" as in I've never seen a cut like that before. I actually like it too. :)
:O
they said there next album will have more guitar and said will go back to there roots next month they start recording there next album Batlle Born
@esther9911 me too brandon flowers said there going to be 7 minute song called Slot Tech Sounds cool!!!!
@737FSPilot Inside the venue, the temperature was a bit too high, it was difficult to keep the hairdo in place, even for Brandon!!! Jajajaja!!! The were AMAZING, believe me! ;)
Sam's Town is the best Killers album so far. The only reason you people love Hot Fuss is because of Mr. Brightside and Somebody Told Me.
When's the new album coming out?
loveee the instrumentation, not the lyrics.
@TheHutch54321 and Jenny was a friend of mine. that song kicks ;)
He needs to change the key when he sings it live. It's a great song though.
@737FSPilot ....naah i'm kind of liking the new hair, to be honest.. ;)
-saw these the next night, at Hard Rock Calling. They were incredible. -as is this ;D
@esther9911 yea probably your right
umm the vocal imperfections are probably because it's only the first time they've performed the song... I mean, it's new enough for him to have to read the lyrics! Give him a break.
@fab462 That late??? Don´t think so... :(
@TheHutch54321 TRUE DAT--DOUBLE TRUE
@737FSPilot yeah raro
wow. wow.wow. I am a massive Killers fan. and seriously, D&A (for me) was not a great album. With H.F & all it's b-sides. then S.T & all its b-sides. then Sawdust with extra tracks and alt edits/re-recordings & finally having the murder trilolgy completed to Day and Age!!! such a disapointment and although i like Flamingo more, i felt it was D&A's sister album. So, hearing The Rising Tide for the 1st time tonight, i am super pumped for a new album that is not over produced (Mr Stuart Price).
I was hoping for more rock Halgan =(
I worry that the killers do not return the same assertiveness
strange style of Hot Fuss =S
I can't stand and hate*
@andy95ab That sounds a bit "snob" from your side, let me tell you....
Wish they would make more Hot Fuss-esque songs. I still like their other albums though.
Can't stand Flamingo... I respectvwhat Flowers was trying to do but yeah... wasn't feeling it
@neontiger32 For my side, BFlo can cheat as much as he wants, jajajajaja!!!
However, don´t think that´s cheating!!!
He said to all of us there, before playing that song, that he had to read the lyrics, because they were "pretty fresh", that were his right words, I was there!
@johnle09 Change your mind was good too
Brandon is fantastic anyway.It's his charm not to be so perfect in high notes.
kind of sound like a 80s or 90s song :B but is not bad :)
@tillyandtiger If you looked at some of the lyrics you'll realize a lot of the songs aren't that happy
@Benniboy93 ok that was a bit strong, its still better than 99% of the music out there at the moment. But still, the golden core of HF and ST has gone :(
@neontiger32 cause hot fuss had more catchy tunes like change your mind dont get me wrong i like sams town and day and age but nearly not as good as hot fuss if they get back to ther roots with ther 'BATTLE BORN" album then no doubt in my mind they will be close to u2 and coldplay IF the the 4th album hits it good next to day and age and hot fuss
I don't understand why he has been yelling all his songs recently. I hope he cuts it out.
His voice sounds a little rough here.
it sounds a lot like 'big talk'
The fuck he said at 1:36? haha it was time came for you solo
