Excellent voice, synths & guitar. In my opinion, one of the best songs of "Battle Born" album. This first version is slightly better than the final version.

This is the version that should have been on battleborn the one on the album seems very overly overproduced and unfortunately a little to electronic even for them

The song sounds older then what it is and it's great sounds like an 70's rock song when he's saying you can't escape the rising of the tide

He needs to change the key when he sings it live. It's a great song though.

Sam's Town is my favorite Killers album too. When You Were Young and For Reasons Unknown are my favorite songs from Sam's Town too. Funny that.

Amazing on all levels! Can't wait for the album, can't wait for the concerts. As for Brandon's high notes, have some compassion for the poor guy! He just sung an entire concert and now he's pulling out a new, unfinished song from under his metaphorical music belt. Have you ever sung for more than an hour at a time? You haven't? Well I have and after a while your range gets rapidly shorter and if you go long enough then you lose your voice completely. Wait for the song release before you judge.

Fans slagging them off is just them wanting more 'Hot Fuss' style music from the Killers, who are a band that like to explore music styles. Personally my favorite album was 'Sam's Town', everything from 'When You Were Young' to 'For Reasons Unknown', but I don't think any less of Killer's fans who aren't 'Sam's Town' fans as well.

I cannot wait..this is going to be amazing..like everything they do of course.

this song has got some freaking potential~ i can imagine them really vamping the studio version... its got some of the intensity that i've been missing since sams town to be honest~! (this river is wild kinda intensity... thats what im TALKING about!!)

No one is allowed to make fun of Brandon messing up one of his first times performing this in front of a crowd. It didn't even sound like he messed up to me.

I don't like them as much because they felt too distant from the previous 2 albums. Day and Age was amazing, but it felt like Brandon, not The Killers. Flamingo had like 2 good songs for me (Right Behind You, Only The Young), and the rest were not my style.

A true Killers fan loves all their songs. Because in each of their song there's a hidden pearl. You just haven't discovered them all yet...

I like it. I love the ditty of the keys in the background - it's 80s throwback of sorts. That said, the music escalates in an up-tempo direction without break (barring the guitar solo) - there's no experimentation. Also, Brandon's begun to scream a lot, which is a bit contrived. His voice is consistently powerful. Maybe he can bring back a whimper, or some emotion into it. Its a nice song though. :)

This is the first time he sang the song; he knows he messed up the first time because he corrected it the next time around on the chorus; you try singing that loud and perfect; jeez he was only off for like 1 second! He is still a more developed singer than other rock bands and can convey more class than any other other frontman.

bear in mind before bombarding me with abuse that I am a fan of the Killers and their creative output, but can Brandon Flowers please just sing in tune? He's about a tone higher than he should be when he hits those longs notes. *ducks for cover from victim abuse*

The Killers are my absolute favorite band and have been for the past 7 years of my life. What appeals to me the most about them is that I don't necessarily fall in love with their songs on the first listen. They take time to appreciate, but once you get there they're classics. Sam's Town is my favorites Killers album, but they ALL have a special place in my heart like I know their next one will too. :)

Well, I do enjoy all they albums, even the songs, which are not in them. But somehow only few songs from Brandon's new album suits me.
