Got this ship recently, still getting used to it, but only complaint so far is the constant overpens at certain ranges. The 40 seconds reload I can manage (I managed to lower it, so no complaints), and the shell speed is manageable too, but the overpens on broadside BBs can be a bit frustrating. On the other hand, I get way less ricochets or shatters than in other ships. And yeah, playing kind of central is the best way to go; if you go in a flank and the flank collapses you wont be able to get away easily. That, and, if it goes really well on your flank and now your team starts moving to the opposite flank you'll be left behind, though your gun range is quite good. Best to play between central cap and one of the side caps.
Vermont, what an underrated ship. Used It in Rank and it took me there in spite of all the gimmicky ships I was put up against. Best ranked game was 4 kills and 2433XP. In that game and on my team was a Mecklenberg with 2 kills and a Shikishima dead last. All up against a Thunderer, 2 Schlieffens, Z-52 a Salem and a Yoshino.
It’s crazy how a concealment, maneuverability, and heal buff turned Vermont into one of the strongest battleships in the game period. The ability to sneak up on almost any other t10 bb and having comparable detect to most heavy cruisers is absolutely absurd. 12 457’s at 12.6km is terrifying. I started using it in cb’s and our team went undefeated. Hell my first time back in cb’s after 5 months was a 4 kill 175k massacre of the enemy team. Who cares about a 40s reload when you have such a big alpha strike with very accurate guns. Vermont teaches the importance of patience and shot selection. It’s a wonderful ship and definitely too powerful post buff. Also the long range ballistics nerf is peanuts in exchange for what you get in return, I barely notice it. Cross mapping requires a little more lead but if they’re not paying attention they still get smashed.
Okay guys here me out, the Tillman's were a series of battleship designs for the US. sorta what the Vermont was based on. But the Tillman IV design might be spicy enough to add as a supership. 975 feet long, 19" thick belt, 25 knots, and....4x6 406 main battery!
They would probably use the Colorado/Minnesota 16" guns and shells, but 24 of them with Colorado dispersion and sigma......Damn!!! and toss in a funny button like Fatsuma just pure evil
Super American Battleship should be an Iowa 1980 refit with RG-84 anti ship Harpoon missiles😂… well they fitted them into iowas so they deserve that armament 115km range I think? 😂
I'd like to see the rest of the South Dakota-class brought in. T9 off of Iowa for South Dakota and Indiana at T10. Make them tech tree USN secondary BBs. Use Massachusetts as your premium captain trainer.
I wish I could make Vermont work like this. For me, Vermont is just a CONSTANT stream of overpens. I average 90%+ overpens with Vermont, against same tier BBS. The blatant use of the overpen mechanic by WGing to influence match outcome makes it too frustrating to play high tier BBS.
Get ready to suffer, Kansas and Minnesota are really hard to play, i just recently got Vermont and believe me, Kansas and Minnesota are such a pain to grind
@@gothamgoon4237 minnesota is a bit better, so maybe try to use free xp to unlock her, but as i said already its really tough to play because it has only 406 guns
I overpen so much with this ship, no matter the aim. Love it but it definitely tries my patience after those long 40 seconds only to overpen a Tier X battleship broadside :(
@@jaywerner8415 Not necessarily. I overpenned every shot, on the belt, on an 88 degree flat broadside Yamato today, at a range of 4km. the overpen mechanic is completely out of control. The more games you play, the higher your overpen %.

Montana if you're a newer player, very good ship for learning BBs, decent ship all around. Vermont if you like to blap people out of existence and have the aim to back that up.
Yep, Vermont. I just love this ship. It's just learn you, how to be patient. In return, it give you fantastic guns and accuracy.

Really like the Vermont myself. Positioning is so important.

super vermont literally gonna be a tillman battleship with like 150k hp and 20 510mm guns.
and then they name it something stupid like oregon💀
To add it has 30 sec reload and stupid accuracy. Plus top speed of 28 knots. Then it will be put up against tier 9s
i feel the USS New Jersey could be a contender for the american super ship.
seems like once you get bad rng it haunts you the whole match.

I really struggle to do well in the Vermont, the guns are nuts, but don’t seem to land big hits for me
Hey PQ, can you experiment with the reload mod on Vermont? Should be interesting IMO.
the fattleship returns
Anytime I see a Vermont I just HE spam it out the game lol. If you let it just sit in the middle of the map and Dev strike everyone, it’s gg
hey potato, what time do you stream? been trying to catch one
Vermont needs a yamoto legendary module.

Imagine if the super vermont has 510-508mm barrels in exchange for no funny F key and keeping the reload speed and ship speed
If you remove the f key gimmick its a true Tier 11 ship.
The super version would be one of the INSANE Tillman designs with like 5 triple turrets or something.

I liked the better shell velocity which was different than Montana and Ohio.
Hi pq
I love farming, Vermont, especially when someone puts it in the middle of the map. It’s not a Kremlin. It’s not a tanky ship.
Being alone in the middle is fine, until the carrier decides that you need to go.
Vermont has in this regard very decent AA. The CV will strike you, but it will loose always for one strike a full squadron.
