Great vid. Any idea where this board meets its CPU match in terms of power and VRM? It seems it might thermal throttle on high end cpus. So the higher end cpus with power/turbopower of 125/253W is surely out and the I5-12600 with 65/117W should be safe. But what about the middle ground like the I5-13600/14600 65/154W?
The missing ARGB header on the H610 motherboards is a let down as well as the lack of additional fan headers. You can still use the H610 motherboards for a gaming PC but B660 motherboards are better for features, the issue with B660 is the price as if you can get them for under £100 then they are fine but at nearer to £150 they are just too expensive compared to the AMD boards. Right now I would say a 12100f with H610 motherboard is a good budget option but I would use the Ryzen 5600x with B550 motherboards instead of the 12400f with B660 motherboards.

this will get the job done and not cost a fortune. the 12600 doesn't overclock so you are wasting money with an expensive Z series motherboard, an H or B series is much better suited
Can I use both an NVMe M.2 SSD and a SATA SSD on this motherboard at the same time? I already put a 1TB NVMe SSD in the slot next to the graphics board.
I would use an i5 for this board. Anything higher would need a better motherboard. Good price for a first time PC builder or a PC for just basic web surfing and office use.
I have a question, on the Asus website, i saw "The M.2 slot shares bandwidth with the SATA6G_4 port. When a device in SATA mode is installed on the M.2 slot, the SATA6G_4 port cannot be used" I'm currently on my ancient B75 and i5 3470, i have 4 SATA storage installed, does this means if i install an NVME drive, will my speed go slower? Also what does it means with the fourth SATA slot not being able to be used? Do i have to watch out for Nvme drives that somehow is actually a Sata drive?
Well I'm jumping the gun on this motherboard finally. Found that there's an H610M-E version too, slightly more expensive, 2 M.2 slots, 1 more fan, DisplayPort but two less USB2 ports in the back. So I'll stick to K. Do you know if there's some limitation in the type of NMVE disk you can use in the M.2 slot? I think PCI-E mode is better than SATA mode but this is PCI-3 so not sure how that affects the performance. Thanks again!
Could I put a i5-12600k on this motherboard? Would it lose performnce, what are the main implications? Thank you, and if not which would you recommend for that cpu.
