Do you know what changed? We were on this ship August, 2023. We never do room service, so possibly that changed. Overall, we found the food to be really good, with a wide selection. We didn't totally love the more compact layout of the buffet relative to other ships we've been on---but it did have a really good selection. I don't recall seeing a lot of pre-made sandwiches--but they had an area with bread, condiments, multiple sliced deli meats, and you could make your own sandwich easily enough. But they did have some pre-made sandwiches.
Unfortunately, we were never able to find out from the crew what the dots signified. We suspect they were used to ensure food was fresh, but that's just our best guess.
