I was born and raised on a farmer in VA and now live in Antelop Valley CA in an RV and it is very easy and cheap my prep pantry is getting low since I have been using it up due to exp dates and am restocking again I had almost a year worth of foods except milk This time i am going to be sure to add in shelf stable milk And yes the plunger is excellent to use to wash your clothes and if you ask any waher and dryer repair man they will tell you have much damage is done to your clothes using commercial machines and softners or even too much washing soap And what we need to remeber is ..living on a budget or "cheap lifestyles " was the normal back in the day ...remeber when there wasnt mocrowaves or cell phones I do and loved it
I like your longer videos. This is a good one. I don't know what will happen. Hopefully nothing but we have to do what we can to take care of ourselves. Remember to get plenty of batteries, matches, and candles❤
When you don't have all the conveniences, you learn to get a long with what you have. It takes strong folks to survive without. Thank you for sharing and God bless.😊
Dollar tree had a clothes line cord, I have used it strung it up between two patio chairs, they also sell clothes pins. Try to have a one burner propane stove and at least a few canisters of propane, yes the propane is a littl
Unfortunately,if the grid goes down you will lose everything in the fridge, and won't be able to cook unless you have a propane stove. No garbage collection. All stores closed. Buy items you don't have to cook!
But it cooks quite hot and fast. A small solar generator has attachments to charge in your car ,will charge your phone, can run a small lamp and if really hot you can run a small fan I've used them all when Edison had repairs going on and power was out for 10 hours if you get these items and use them as if it all you had you get pretty good at it . If you have trees in yard save branches when the wind knock them down they will dry out good in about 6 months . I still need to practice cooking outside.
I love what you are saying. Protecting yourself. I am 53. 2 yrs ago I could walk, move around, no worries. Today, I feel arthritis in every joint. you have to plan ahead because no one knows what the future holds! I am proof! Just be safe & hope for the best but prepare for the worst! No better advice!
Here on RUclips, there is a channel. It's a Navajo indian and he teaches you how to make navajo fry bread which is where she got the recipe originally from.😊
What we are doing, this year definitely than previous years, is to stock non-perishables. Then going to the store more frequently for perishable items. This way if power is out, we're not in Jeopardy of losing large amounts of food in the freezer and our refrigerator. Also we're being more mindful of what we're buying. We will not buy,day for instance, 30 cans of anything. For one, ee don't want to eat,say soup, that's been sitting around for years! 😐
That's very clever to use the fry bread to wrap those dogs! Yum! Beans on toast is a Brit staple holdover from WWII food rationing. Tasty! I used a bucket and plunger to wash my clothes while living in a van in the desert. Very limited water and worked great! Dried ocatillo plants work great for fire and smells great too. Keep telling us about the spiritual things, Miss Rhoda!

I make tea in a glass jar in the window “sun tea”
My mom used to do that. Put several bags in a large glass jar and put it out on the porch until it brewed.
