I found the video much easier to follow the second time around (please persevere people!) I appreciate the time and effort taken to write up the pattern and make the tutorial, thank you. I am now on my second hat and it is quickly becoming a favourite pattern, so easy x
Love this pattern! I have been searching and searching for a quick and easy pattern. I tweaked it just a tad. Instead of use the circle join to make the pony tail hole I used pony tail elastics/holders. And the brim I used a hdc instead of a sc. I despise sc. Thank you for making this video it was and is a the best and quickest I have found yet!
Your hat is darling. please consider redoing this video. Go slower..... show your work clearly. I can crochet and follow along but for someone just starting it is way to quick. I work with teens and would love to get them working on this hat! So cute! Thank You!
Hi, even though you were going fast and it was not focused, I'm glad you made the video. It made it easier to follow, especially since the v stitch was new to me. Thanks!
This was very well done! I am a beginner crocheter and I flew through this pattern on my out of inventory time at work! I was done amazingly! Will for sure be watching future videos! :D
Love this 🥰. So cute I'm making one right now lol. I've been crocheting for years and I love your tutorial. It's perfect. 😉 thank you for taking the time to make it.
Great hat, making one for a gift. I really was looking for something new and fun to make. Video was blurry but as an experienced crocheter I could figure it out. You're such a fast stitcher, had to pause it to keep up lol Thank you for sharing!
Visited your website. Lots of ideas for children! Lovely creative talent. Wish I knew how to make a messy bun, I just can't seem to do it. Maybe a pony tail for me!
Thanks for the video tutorial. I made the child one and thought it looked way smaller than yours (from the written pattern). I came across your video after and the video explains the cluster V stitch differently than the written pattern. Now my adult one is looking like yours!!
I love your wonderful patterns but like others said you are going pretty fast and the focus is awful. I hope you don't get offended I just want you to do good with your videos.
Tutorial and pattern is great, but you are crocheting too fast to follow or to see your stitches! Most of the time I like to pause, rewind, and replay when I'm working on something. Slowing down your crocheting for a video would be very helpful! Thanks!
this video is a bit blurry however, a different video of you doing the same thing was much clearer. TY! my question is, how many rows of the sc is added at the end? Are the rows the same for adult and child size messy bun hats? Thank you - Cindy
Helpful video and I could understand what you were doing bc I’ve been crocheting for years, but beginners wouldn’t be able to understand or see the stitches you are making. Also, you did show the end of making the hat.
Lorna Brown glad for you but if you check out lots of the other comments, many people complained about the speed and quality of video. Most beginners, maybe not all, would find this difficult. Friends of mine are a few that did have trouble.
@@LearnandPlayEveryday oh, I did see the selfish comments, and I don't remember the title being a beginner tutorial, I feel some of those (repeated) comments were whinners who didn't get what they wanted... Constructive criticism is different and those comments were NOT that.
Lorna Brown I believe they were. Some may be rude but asking a person who is showing you how to make something to slow down a little and that maybe the footage was a little blurry is constructive criticism. It tells the person making the video, who because they are making it I’m guessing they want people to actually learn from it, that the video wasn’t easy to see and that going too fast may be hard for some people. If you have such a problem with that then don’t read the comments. The maker of the video isn’t complaining as much as you are.
I like your pattern and video but you are crocheting to fast to see what you are doing and I am trying to follow along and read the pattern also as I go so I can do it all right. You need to slow down your crocheting. Thanks
I didnt expect the video would end without completing the project. This is the second video that I watched from your channel and I must say I agree with most of the comments that you dont explain much or talk so fast. Your titles should include not beginner friendly. Pretty works but not helpful to beginners.
Love this pattern don't know who's more confused 😕... Giving tutorials is not a strong point for you. Thanks for showing me that cluster V stitch appreciate it! Hope my hat comes out okay!? 😜
Love this. The pattern was easy to follow only thing is the obvious, video focus. Could I make this as a hat instead of a messy bun hat ? And if so how?
I really like this hat, but somehow I got lost, could you please consider doing this video again? I know it's alot of work and if you can't, I understand. I'll try to go back and try again.
I love your patterns, but your video was to fast and hard to follow, explanations not clear. I wish you could do a full video with this pattern and slow it down a little, also show a closer view of where you are going into stitches. Got lost several times and I am not a beginner. Thank you for your time.
Thank you for the pattern and the video. I was wondering if instead of single crochet, I did front post stitches with the 72 stitch count at the bottom of the hat, would it effect how the hat fits? I am not sure if post stitches make the work tighter, loser, or has no effect.
*you may see me comment this ALOT on videos so please don’t be mad, I’m just spreading news.* *Fires have been raging here in Australia for months, and I think the knitting/crocheting communities should come together and make blankets and stuffed animals for the animals caught in the fires. Hi, how are you? I really liked the hat you teach. Can I record the video in Portuguese? Some people asked me and they can not understand the video. Thanks
I consider my self a intermediate crocher but for some reason this I sent coming along I'm on the 3rd row and instead of the top curling in to make that bowl shape lol that firms the hat I have what looks like a frisbee with a hole in the middle it's flat !! Where did I mess up HELP ! Thanks:)
is there a sc between the completed cluster and the beg of the nxt or only in the middle of the cluster? Yours seems bigger but I am using a bigger hook and it is coming out kinda like ??? AND GZZZZ i must be REALLY slow becuase it's 6:19am and I am JUST now on my 8th row.... :( This is SUCH a cute pattern. I appreciate u doing it.
This is not in focus and you go way too fast. You show only one Cluster V-stitch and that's it. Kinda frustrating. I have to search for someone else to figure out how to do the cluster v stitch.
Can I do it with a hair tie? I figured I could just do 24 sc into the hair tie ring & go frm there. What do u think? Love ur videos & ur blog!!! Happy Holidays
I would love to see the transition to sc. I am new to crochet and don't know how to read written patterns very well. I'm very confused how to make the first round of sc on the brim.
I'm new like a beginner and I hope you make other video this one because I can't even see what you doing and your going to fast. please and thank you so much
I really want to make this hat to match a pocket scarf I’ve made my granddaughter. This is the most difficult to follow video that I’ve even seen. It’s almost not worth it
I am also having trouble with chain twisting but don’t see where you’ve taken any time to explain a way to avoid this. Will have to find another tutorial that explains and has better quality video.
Is anyone else having issues with a crooked seam? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but it seems to be going in a spiral. It wouldn't bother me if it weren't so noticeable.
It would be really nice if you would re-record this video.. closer up, focused and not having to crochet at warp speed. This is a lovely pattern but the viewer gets lost in these issues.
Your video is so out of focus, so it is not very useful to learn anything from it, when you can't hardly see what you are doing. Hope your next one is better.
I had to do it over and over till I got it right but now I'm having issues with the SCs at the end from the brim :( I don't get what she says in the pattern. Hope you figured yours out!
I found the video much easier to follow the second time around (please persevere people!) I appreciate the time and effort taken to write up the pattern and make the tutorial, thank you. I am now on my second hat and it is quickly becoming a favourite pattern, so easy x

Agree. I enjoy her tutorials but she does go a bit too fast for me. But she’s got a great, clear voice, and instructions are good.
Did u know that u can change the speed of videos? I didn't know that until recently. I hope that helps
@@micheleprice4292 Thank you! I love this hat! The I really helpful!
just wanted to say I have made several messy bun hats in the last week. I have a broken ankle. This is by far my favorite! Thank you so much!
Thank you! It's my first time trying the Cluster V-stitch. I finally got the hang of it.💪
Can you please zoom in closer to your hands? Personally I think it would be much easier to see the pattern come together-Thank you
Hi, even though you were going fast and it was not focused, I'm glad you made the video. It made it easier to follow, especially since the v stitch was new to me. Thanks!
I think this was pretty helpful bc I am an advanced crocheter. It might be a little hard for beginners to follow.
Hope u make more videos. Thnks!
It's so nice to see someone that holds their crochet hook like I do.
Hi thanks so much for the video ❤️❤️i will like if you could make the second part and finish the hat please thanks 🙏🏼 🌨🌨❄️️❄️️❄️️
Honey, love the pattern but your tutorial is not focused.
Made my eyes hurt, couldn’t watch
Lo
Great hat, making one for a gift. I really was looking for something new and fun to make. Video was blurry but as an experienced crocheter I could figure it out. You're such a fast stitcher, had to pause it to keep up lol Thank you for sharing!
this video was great. I was having difficulty reading your pattern, so this helped a lot thanks again for making this!

I'm a beginner, as in I know single, double, half double.. I learned crocodile and I'm enjoying the cluster V. Thank you
Thank you so much for sharing this pattern. I love it and making it. Very easy once I learned the V cluster. Thank you!!
Such a good and easy to follow pattern, 1st hat pattern that actually fits me
Thanks for the video. I'm an intermediate level crocheted and this is helped a lot.
I love your wonderful patterns but like others said you are going pretty fast and the focus is awful. I hope you don't get offended I just want you to do good with your videos.
Beautiful hat. I just wanted to know how many rows of single crochet to finish hat. Thank you for sharing this great tutorial.
I loved your video. You did a great job. Please keep making videos.
Hola muy bonito el gorro yo lo voy haser gracias por compartir 😊muchas bendiciones ❤
Great tutorial & Pattern, love the colours!!!
Tutorial and pattern is great, but you are crocheting too fast to follow or to see your stitches! Most of the time I like to pause, rewind, and replay when I'm working on something. Slowing down your crocheting for a video would be very helpful! Thanks!
can you remake this video with better focus and zoom in?
and slower with more information. i expect better from' the crochet crowd'
Ya lo hice maestra, esta muy bonito, gracias
this video is a bit blurry however, a different video of you doing the same thing was much clearer. TY! my question is, how many rows of the sc is added at the end? Are the rows the same for adult and child size messy bun hats? Thank you - Cindy
Thank you for the Video, it made following the pattern much easier!!
💜
Love this hat. Great tutorial.
Geeze it took me 3 times taking it out and redoing to get the stitch count right lol love the look
I made one for my three year old last night. Thank you!
Helpful video and I could understand what you were doing bc I’ve been crocheting for years, but beginners wouldn’t be able to understand or see the stitches you are making. Also, you did show the end of making the hat.
I'm a beginner and the video was fine for me.

I got the concept pretty quickly but continued to watch because I was mesmerized by the super fast stitches. Lol.

Love the pattern. Howeve, it is hard to follow because the camera is out of focus and you are going a bit fast.
Thank you very much love your pattern
Love this pattern don't know who's more confused 😕... Giving tutorials is not a strong point for you. Thanks for showing me that cluster V stitch appreciate it! Hope my hat comes out okay!? 😜
Thank you for this! I love the pattern. I crochet just as fast, so the video was perfect for me. ❤
Thank you can not wait to try this!!!
Love this. The pattern was easy to follow only thing is the obvious, video focus.

can you do a 2nd video to show how to finish the bottom with single crochet please i would really appreciate.
you need to use a close up.. cant see what you are doing
Osmon Frances
Love it I'm going try and make one ,
You did great! If you can up come closer for us sight challenged people that would be even better. Thanks. I'm a visual person.

I'm sorry for asking, but as you make rounds does the circumference get larger after the last increase?
Love the pattern but like everyone else I wish I could see better. How would you make this a full hat?
Hi, how are you? I really liked the hat you teach. Can I record the video in Portuguese? Some people asked me and they can not understand the video. Thanks

hmmm, could you please explain what you do after sc row. I am assuming its just as many rows of SC as you want.
This is not in focus and you go way too fast. You show only one Cluster V-stitch and that's it. Kinda frustrating. I have to search for someone else to figure out how to do the cluster v stitch.
I sure wish this video was in focus! I’m going to try & make this hat this weekend but it’s really hard to see the stitches.
Yeah me too... There is a pattern too, so you could check on it if you're confused on your stitches.👍
so what size do u think child fit...wanting to make one for my 2 year old
Could you tell me how big (tall/wide) your child size was? Mine seems small. Thanks
Can I do it with a hair tie? I figured I could just do 24 sc into the hair tie ring & go frm there. What do u think? Love ur videos & ur blog!!! Happy Holidays
Sande E yes I used a hair tie and love it.
Tori Luna me too it came out really great
I've read where some use two hair ties...one being a backup in case one breaks...fyi
I used a hair tie without any problems
Sande E That’s what I’m doing too. We will see if it works for me.
Can you make this hat without the ponytail hole? I love the hat but dont need the hole.
I would love to see the transition to sc. I am new to crochet and don't know how to read written patterns very well. I'm very confused how to make the first round of sc on the brim.
Ante frankly wonderful and your job is sweet Ui
فنون الكروشيه
Would it be possible to be more clear on the clusters and their placement.
Nice pattern however the video was blurry and the yarn colour was very dark to see.
Love the pattern. Can you redo and focused
I'm new like a beginner and I hope you make other video this one because I can't even see what you doing and your going to fast. please and thank you so much
How do i finish off the hat? It looks like sc all around? How many rows?
How did you chain 20 then end up w 24 single crochet in the 1round?
I love your model, but I think you're going pretty fast! ... And you Can do the second part, please. Tanks
I really want to make this hat to match a pocket scarf I’ve made my granddaughter. This is the most difficult to follow video that I’ve even seen. It’s almost not worth it
I agree
Thank for showing us how to do this but I had trouble keeping up you was crocheting to fast
Hi,can you help me how to make a messy bun for 5 years girl
How many single crochet did you put in to start the brim?
Can you please state how many clusters are in each row, you go too fast and can't see because video is blurry.
what if you want to use a hair tie instead of doing the chain
Ma'am your tutorials pattern is awesome l can't see very well and your going to fast .
please re-do video cause its blurry and extremely fast
thanks for sharing 👍
I am also having trouble with chain twisting but don’t see where you’ve taken any time to explain a way to avoid this. Will have to find another tutorial that explains and has better quality video.
How much yarn does it take to make both bennies
Please slow down and focus camera😳
My brim is to loose any tips on a tighter brim?
Is there a video for the brim?
Is anyone else having issues with a crooked seam? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but it seems to be going in a spiral. It wouldn't bother me if it weren't so noticeable.
Helen King 🏦 him v;; go)
Can you please do another video that explains.. I almost had it lol
It would be really nice if you would re-record this video.. closer up, focused and not having to crochet at warp speed. This is a lovely pattern but the viewer gets lost in these issues.
You can consider repeat this video but slowly and color yarn more brighter and clearly, not is easy follow you
your video was good ty but out of focus a bit , hard to see where your needle is going
Your video is so out of focus, so it is not very useful to learn anything from it, when you can't hardly see what you are doing. Hope your next one is better.
How do you do the ribbing?????
Does anyone know what ages for the child size? TIA
And I think if you read the pattern that she provided, it will help a lot with this video.
happinessaroundyou Qoo I made this hat, and it fits my 4 year old.
Michelle Pensa thank you so much (:
Please update this video at a slower speed. I'm trying to use this to teach my wife to crochet and you go very quickly.
When I was doing the 24 SC on the of the chain, it kept twisting around. Do you have any suggestions to not let that happen? Thanks 🙂
AlySchenck I am having the same problem. I have started over about 10 times and keep having the same twisted problem. I need help!
I had to do it over and over till I got it right but now I'm having issues with the SCs at the end from the brim :( I don't get what she says in the pattern. Hope you figured yours out!
Shawna Stinnett I just DC 24 around a ponytail holder and it worked great. just a tip
