Kingdom Galvatron and Legacy Sandstorm also have massive heels. It's to prevent back heavy bots from toppling backwards.
I would say the worst part is the hinge that holds the backpack on because it is made of thin plastic that can get stressed and start cracking very easily if you try to open the backpack too much.

Ooh, that transformation looks _delicious._ I truly adore how coherent they made the alt mode's interior look, even if it ends up being covered by the canopy, anyway.
I'm one of the few people who genuinely love _Studio Series_ Gamer Edition Bumblebee, so this is going to be a treat, for me, specifically.
I really hope reactivate will be as memorable as WFC
I found out that you can put the arm in the slot in the hood of the car backpack which hides the arm well. You have to flip in the hand in order for it to fit. And the tab stays in pretty well.
Definitely an improvement over some of the first wave releases. Car mode is tight, and the conversion is slick. If I were to venture into buying any of these Prime, Starscream, and Cliffjumper would top the list for sure.

I literally got my GE Sideswipe a few hours before your video came out and i love him. Before watching your video, my ONLY complaint about him is the lack of ankle tilts.
The camber on the back wheels only happens because you're pushing the shoulders up and slightly out of place when tabbing the feet in. I noticed this on mine, you just have to hold the shoulders in place when tabbing them in and everything lines up fine. 👍
I don't mind the Gamer Edition figures not being able to store their arms because, in the games, the arm becomes the weapon, and they don't pop off their arms and need to carry it around. It always feels like I'm the only person I know who doesn't care if a toy has storage to be able to carry all of it's accessories at all time.

WFC Bluestreak should be used
So as someone who can fix about 50% of things you say "I can fix that" about, I'd love for you to make a video just called "I Can Fix That" where you do a quick overview of all the things you do to fix the most common problems
Both Barricade and Sideswipe have ports on their feet, but there have been no upgrade kits for them.
Nice review, and I'm glad to see that Gamer Edition is improving on the whole. No ankle tilts is a bit of a disappointment, but that transformation looks very interesting, and probably quite fun once you get the hang of it.
As a side note, what's your opinion on Bumblebee Concept Art Sunstreaker? I'm thinking of getting him and Gamer Sideswipe together, to have Cybertronian versions of the dynamic duo.

I got him from Walmart a day before he was revealed lol. He’s good enough but I don’t feel much in the way of love or hate.

One missed opportunity was how in the Fall of cybertron multiplayer games was how you could customize your character with different heads limbs and chest, which would have been cool if that if you could actual mix and match figures like with studio series Kup or legacy junkions
And yes I know it’s war for Cybertron toy but both games have the same assets

Looks like one of the best Gamer Edition figures so far. I do think they probably could’ve used some of the front car bulk to form the feet and clean up the back, though. Looks far more coherent and accurate than Bee or Starscream.
I really hope this line keeps going past the WFC game, if we could get FOC versions of the characters as well that would be amazing.

I have this figure along with animated universe optimus prime ordered and on the way, im praying sideswipe arrives tomorrow because of how close he is, also i need help, gamer edition megatron, or starscream? Im looking for more decepticons in my collection as right now its mostly autobots.

Sunstreaker from the same wave is waaaay more solid.
I think the purpose of Gamer Edition (at least for me) was to buy the figures so that you could collect the weapons that came with them (with the exception of Megatron and Starscream), i.e. the Energon battle pistol and plasma cannon that came with Dad Bod Bumblebee/Cliffjumper and the neutron assault rifle that comes with Barricade.
If you pay close enough attention to Sideswipe's transformation in the game, his spoiler partsforms on when going into vehicle mode
I feel like every gun will work with starscream.
I recently got my own copy of the figure, and I'm getting some stress marks on the backpack, it's only on the interior where it pulls out to allow for the head to fold in, but the fact that they're there at all worries me. makes me not want to touch it, BUT DANG IT I WANT TO PLAY WITH MY TRANSFORMER TOY!!!!
SSGE Sideswipe has to be the BEST SSGE figure! Hes great! His botmode's sick, his carmode's super swish, his articulation is pretty good! Despite not technically having any real attachment to the WFC/FOC games, I actually REALLY want to grab Swipe! Also, his feet ain't even that bad, so thats a bonus! The lack of ankle-tilt is a bit disappointing, but no big deal. & hes gonna look pretty darn good with SSBBM Concept Sunstreaker!
I think that left leg panel is very common. I've had two of him pass through my home, and both have had that issue

At first I couldn’t stand the transformation, I thought it was annoying and finicky but now having it for a week I adore this thing
I think that the barricade is too big because they were 'compesating' for the lack of articulation and engineering in the transformation

They’re shifting it to the MPG line, which I don’t get because the MPG line has a horrific reputation right from the get go (just watch any video on the finalised MPG Raiden).

Tbh, lack of wrist swivels is 50% expected on modern deluxes. We're used to it, but it's nice when they find a way to include it

Looking at this I sincerely hope they redo Bruticus for this series. Best Bruticus design, terrible toy. The upgrade kit mostly fixes it, but not *really*.

His back looks wrong, the position of tyres was different in game- it looked kinda like a tyre backpack or sth.
Huh, sounds like it's actually a good figure, but it just doesn't look as sci fi futuristic as the classic Bertone designed Lamborghini - the same problem BB Sunstreaker runs into. Not like anything could, if any car looks like it came from outer space in the year 6969 it's the Countach. Yes the number IS intentional, it's just that sexy 😍

i would say it hasn't found its footing yet but its getting there, however that does not excuse how much they screwed up the line and continue to screw it up, like even sideswipe is bad with his hollow legs back kibble and lack of ankle tilt
Why are you saying hollow legs is a problem with this Sideswipe? The hollowness is to facilitate transformation, but it's also completely covered up in both modes? And the back kibble honestly isn't bad. The kibble on the top is screen accurate, and the rest isn't really a problem.
@brandontaylor7744 the legs shouldnt be hollow the backpack could've been slimmed down to add bits to fill the legs in and no the backpack is not accurate this is the equivalent of saying mp45 bumblebee's backpack isnt an issue and is accurate because it has a fake spare tire on its back
@thedrifter5531 it's really not even close to comparing to mp45. That had a masterpiece budget and was still a massive failure. You're complaining as if you were expecting masterpiece level budget and third party level engineering in a 25ish USD toy. Taking budget into account, the only real issue is the lack of ankle tilts. And again, the hollowness in the legs is both covered up completely in robot mode and is essential for the transformation.
Still disappointed that these "gamer edition" toys don't have RGB lighting...
