There is literally medal for killing with flares, i got one by accident
I got killed by a flare by a friend when we are doing a custom jet 3v3 air match
The pilot themselves would be vulnerable if you can punch through the window that'd actually be terrible in real life to have happen those flares on the aircraft are probably a lot heavier duty than the handheld ones i've used.
China has been trying it with chaff on aircraft in international airspace

There is an aam which is saclos, so you can guide it to tank, damage from it on the other side is random
Maybe using ata that can be avoided by a flare easily to guide it to the tank

Fun fact about the last one: idk if they patched it yet, but if u drop a mine in a patch of water, ull create an actual ground mine, and when a tank passes over it, it blows up

I know it floats now but I was a little confused when it just explodes when touching the water before
The discarding sabot can obviously kill lightly armored vehicles cuz Gaijin clearly stated that it's an intended feature in Kings of Battle update.
It used to be even more broken for wehicules that had hight firerate with sabot round like the bmp2m, where the apfsds became the meta aa round since you were an automatic shotsgun with tracking
@@flammerubis1041 Gaijin removed auto cannon's sabot petal cuz it's just mostly made of plastic/rubber and can't really do much damage

I was in air rb the other day and took damage from an enemy flare
I was in air rb once, just having some fun by flying close to my teammates

Fun fact: A bomb can be shot while still in the bay of the bomber
I've noticed this happening, but never does any damage. Why?
@@termiusprime when the bomb is shot in it's bay it explodes completely destroying the plane so maybe it didn't detonate for you but for me it destroys the plane
@@Name223lr Not only does it never destroy the plane for bombers, but it never destroys the plane for fighters or attackers either, even when they are underslung bombs. It must be a problem with the update on Xbox.

Being able to shoot down bombs has been a thing for a loooong time. You can even shot them on the pylons now.
myth: you can destroy a plane or helicopter mid air with a bomb
i swear magnetic mines work better than regular bombs against tanks
Regarding teamkills I had a very "fun" teamkill bug playing today. I had a HE round loaded but needed to switch back to AP so I shot the HE at the ground to load and I randomly killed a friendly that was nowhere to be seen.
You can shoot bombs and rockets while theyre still attached to the plane. And yes even bombers bomb bays can be detonated.
I've never played War Thunder, I like to watch these video's.

@@Johnathan-mj4ei its fun, but it can definitely be frustrating. “Volumetric Hell” is definitely real with it causing you to lose fights you shouldn’t, 1/3 of your team essentially does nothing every match (I actually ran the numbers), and a lot of players can play in annoying ways like spawn camping, abusing CAS, and playing broken vehicles.
This is sick. This game became "the life". Every fckn day I ran home from job (where I watch WT videos often) and while entering home fully dressed, I turn on computer, so I dont have to wait 2 or 3 minutes later on. But Im noob, i play few months, and the game is insanely addictive... I quit playin world of WShips, although grinded 90% there, just to be involved in some new, even more ludacris grinding...
In low level arcade, the ship mine is actually a good choice for picking off lone pillboxes late in a match.
Damaging isn’t killing, there could be a limit to where and how much dmg you can do

It would kill him after multiple tries so it does count
It’s war thunder, damage is on a component model, so anything that does any amount of damage can kill if it does enough.
I killed a BMP-2M in a custom Arcade server with an artillery flare and I instantly knew the artillery one was true, knew it before then but it was even funnier then
The anti ship mines are some of the best explosives in the game. I use them to bomb bases in sim battles because it only takes 2 to completely knock a base out. They also have a guaranteed kill range up to 17m for CAS
Poor T-90m, it just needed a little more ERA and everything would have been just fine 😢
since the sabot itself is the casing of the round (hence the term "discarding sabot"), you can just say "you can destroy a tank with a sabot"
Imean, if the ship mine is a contact mine, it'd detonate on ground contact. But if it's a magnetic mine, it'd detonate nearby the tank's armor.

You can die to your own artillery as well. Should be known by most, but it can be just as annoying as getting killed by an ally's artillery.
The mines have more explosive payload than the regular bombs, IIRC.
best thing about war thunder is, i was able to kill tanks not visible to me by using trajectory and angle.

Remember when bombs randomly became destructible before being dropped? That went crazy with some bombers
The Magnetic mines are x10 better than a 1000lb bomb, they are crazy good
A couple of thigs:
-the sabot goimg through the tank basically killed it, what I saw was shrapnel
-everybody knows youcan blow a bomb mid air, what would be interestig would be to hit so hard a bomber that the bomb/s inside would explode
-you may not kill an ally with a bomb in arcade battles, but if it's open roof you can shoot it out

Ah, yes, War Thunder myths, like *_checks notes_* features that were in the patch notes when they were introduced
Who could have guessed a giant fucking missle would go through a tank.
It was actually integrated either the "Kings of battle" update, or when we got the severe damage patch, that you could shoot at bombs on aircraft or mid-air to make them explode, or if you shoot at smoke launchers with your MG on a tank, they explode into smoke and fall off the tank.
1 they made it big news when they added the ability 2 shoot bombs mid air. 2 of course a air 2 air missle is going 2 kill a tiny tank half it's size 😂🙄
U can shoot bombs mid air for years now. Maybe ure actually talking about Dat time when gaijin introduced Dat, but I think ure confusing it with the recent feature of shooting bombs/missiles still in the plane

the a-a missile vs tank thing is probably extremely hard, or near impossible to do in a battle

Fun fact I did actually die to flares once in a grb match. Someone flared and I hit the flare at mach 1.1 resulting in the death of my pilot
I was killed by an air to air missile once while being in a bmp1. Funny part is that it was allied plane that destroyed me 😂

They nerfed the anti ship mine, before it was a guarantee kill due to the high HE content and destruction radius but now the radius is shrunk to on contact distance.
Not going to lie I died to sea mine before this short video came out
The naval mine thing isn't a myth it used to be the preferred method of cas if you had access to naval mines as they had increased explosive damage on them to scale up to ships but was never fixed for ground RB

I discovered the team kill thing by accident in AB. Some guy drove straight into the Artillery and died.

I really hope they take out the sabot since sometimes i feel like they count where the sabot goes instead of where the round goes and it costs me lots of kills.
Do not use mines as bombs, they are lighter and have more explosives, but they fly much further, so it is impossible to hit them without a horseshoe for luck

i found out a while ago that the mines on the dauntless contain substantially more explosive equivalent to tnt than the 1000 lbs bomb, so i've been using the mines for a few months now and they work great.
Not only can a bomb be shot mid-air, a few updates ago it was made so that bombs suspsended FROM YOUR AIRCRAFT could be shot and detonated.
I once destroyed a low-life base with an air-to-air missile because the enemy avoided it and the missile crashed into a base

I remember commenting about the artillery thing, lol, not saying you did this because of only me, I’m sure a ton of other people also said it, but it’s pretty cool.
That mine is basically an 1000 pound bomb on crack, love using it to 1 shot airfields with the catalina or use it as a point clearer in grb.

I was shooting at an enemy tank this morning and right as I fired, a teammate raced across my line of sight. My shell hit my teammate's turret from less than 100yds in arcade without damage
With the last one i love using the american BTD with naval mines
you should test out the flares but with a biplane where the pilot is exposed

None of these are even myths, these are all well known within the community.
I played a match the other day in the german 222 AA car and I got right up point blank on a shermans side and hit him in the ammo. The explosion from the sherman dying killed me, probably because the 222 is open top and has no armor. It was so funny and shocking to see! XD
I once killed a Russian truck in CB, the one with the big rockets, with SRAAMs while overing, locked onto a plane that was in the ground and fired, somehow missed and hit the truck's rockets.
Plane got medium damage from it while the truck disintegrated.
Shooting a bomb midair is not a myth because Sons of Atilla introduced the feature. Bruh.
