- Lenovo Laptop Wont Turn On SOLUTION T450 Works with HP, Asus, Acer,
I work with Lenovo all the time and now and then I run into a computer that just absolutely will not turn on. In this video I show you exactly what you need to do to make the sucker work again. If this doesn't work, your only hope is Lenovo Support
This is the most normal problem I have had with laptops. There are many things that would make it not turn on. Sometimes they go to sleep then run out of batteries and fail to turn back on. Sometimes maybe bad energy gets into it, or even a memory leak. Sometimes one particular piece of hardware is making it happen. I have had this happen with Asus, Acer, HP, Gateway, Lenovo, and all any other type of laptop you could think of. Laptops are getting cheaper and cheaper. The quality is dropping and they don't last as long as they used to.

This is why RUclips is one of the greatest inventions! I tried the reset button, no joy so I unscrewed the cover and unplugged the internal battery and it’s all come back on! Thank you my mate!
I was terrified when my thinkpad wasn't turning on. I was about to have a mental breakdown, but this video saved me!
Everyone says pull the battery... The battery is inside
Screwdriver
Thank you so much! The pinhole worked -- I truly appreciate the way you explain things and your calm voice... when we non-techies are freaking out inside..
Omg THANK YOU!!!!! I almost thought I ruined my laptop after not even 2 weeks of owning it 😂
Same here. I had it for almost 2 years now, had it reformated and increase memory space, then suddenly the power flicks on and off on its own.
That God the "hold the button for thirty seconds" worked (there was no indication, so I had to count how long I was holding it)
Gary Tee I held it for like 10 and it is loading now
I can’t find the CMOS pin on my e490, can somebody please tell me where it is :(
Omg same! I need to submit an assignment and I have everything saved in my laptop but it just wouldn't start! This video is a life saver!
I abandoned my laptop for a year and now I'm trying to find a solution to make it turn back on and I can't find any helpful videos 😭
I normally don’t comment on RUclips videos, but I have a virtual visit with my dream uni this afternoon, and my Lenovo has been acting up all day. Thank you so much!!!
We tried the thing with the pin at the back for 30 seconds and it actually worked. Thanks a lot!
does it erase your files?

Mine is a lenovo t430
I can not find it
@@NeutralYo same here

Same situation! Worked like a charm! Time for new memory cards!
Got my friends lap-top working for him...followed the instructions, but nothing worked 'til I took the back off and started taking bits out. Motherboard battery was tricky to access, but also removed and replaced CD, Memory, hard disk and fan. Working great now and no leftover screws! Thanks.
Just received a _"new"_ laptop from work and it would not start at all! I made several attempts, and it finally worked without my having to open up and get inside. Thanks for the video!
i was literally panicking when it wasnt turning on. i frantically searched youtube and your video showed up. i tried the back pin method and it worked. you most certainly saved my ass man. thanks a lot

This worked for me on my X1 Carbon this morning. I stuck a push pin through the bottom hole and pressed the CMOS reset button for a few seconds and that did the trick Thanks, brother!
Thanks a million. My lenovo thinkpad refused to come back on. After watching your video, I pressed the tiny hole at the back of the laptop with a needle for 5 secs and then pressed the power button.
Woa thx bro, u saved me with a needle.
You're a lifesaver! I think you save me 2 times now from heart ache and I forgot about this method from the first time so I searched again LoL

Surprisingly the 30 seconds did it for me. Thanks a bunch.
Dude, i thought my newly-bought thinkpad was kaput. This saved me a ton of potential wfh headaches. Thank you!
Thank you so much, I just bought a used thinkpad today and it was not turning on after I tried to insert my simcard.... I thought the motherboard was dead. I am so glad that you were the first video I watched. You have no idea, how much it helped! Thank you a billion times! My night was almost turning into a disaster and you saved it. :)

Holding mine down for about 15 seconds worked for me!!! Thank you!!! :)
Thank you so much! #1 I didn't realize I need to power it off instead of simply closing the lid. My laptop is new & kept having power issues. I thought it was faulty. I tried the power button for 30 seconds plus one more tap & my laptop turned on!! Thank you! I couldn't find the pin hole but I think it might be on the side next to the sim card & usb ports. You're the best!
Oh my gosh you are a life saver!!! I thought I was going to lose days of work when my computer wouldn’t turn on, the pin hole did the trick! I’m beyond grateful!
Thanks a million! I had to remove the internal battery beside the CMOS battery (for T450) than it worked!

Thank you for the CMOS tip, it worked perfectly! And it saved my wife driving to her company for IT support, and due to covid restrictions that would be a challenge - not mentioning the danger. :)
Exactly same issue with my wife yesterday LOL
This worked for me! I put a new webcam into a T560, but afterwards it wouldn't power up and was totally bricked. I tried unplugging the charger and external battery and doing the power button hold, but no joy. Finally, I opened it up, disconnected the internal battery and CMOS battery and held the power button again. I reconnected the internal and CMOS batteries and tried again, and it powered right up. I was incredably relieved. After puttng it all back toether, it worked fine. Even the new webcam worked.
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
I didn't know what a CMOS battery was so I had to Google it, and my T470 refurbished don't have an internal battery, but luckily with just unplugging and plugging again the CMOS battery the laptop turned on again, so thanks a lot for making this comment!
