This is why RUclips is one of the greatest inventions! I tried the reset button, no joy so I unscrewed the cover and unplugged the internal battery and it’s all come back on! Thank you my mate!

This worked for me! I put a new webcam into a T560, but afterwards it wouldn't power up and was totally bricked. I tried unplugging the charger and external battery and doing the power button hold, but no joy. Finally, I opened it up, disconnected the internal battery and CMOS battery and held the power button again. I reconnected the internal and CMOS batteries and tried again, and it powered right up. I was incredably relieved. After puttng it all back toether, it worked fine. Even the new webcam worked.
    Thanks!

Thanks, that cmos reset jumper worked a charm. I had no idea that this laptop even had this feature. My guess is the lipo battery on my laptop has given up (I can feel it's a little puffy inside the hard case) and since it's lipo they can do some really nasty things with voltage when they go bad. I took the battery out and have been running off the PSU only and all seems good. So, if your battery doesn't hold a charge in your x270 please take it out! leave it out and run off your power supply. Not only is it dangerous to keep a dead lipo just hanging around it's also dangerous for the components inside your laptop. I hope this.helps others. Thanks again for this video and pointing me to the cmos jumper, I truly appreciate it as this is the computer I have set up for my senior parent. Cheers.
