I can imagine this video was uploaded 3years ago but it just saved me a lotta cash today
My laptop just wouldn't turn on for weeks now and I took it to an engineer who told me there's a problem with the motherboard.
But just following these steps, I have fixed it
Thank you so much for this tutorial
    God bless you 💖

Your help was much appreciated my friend. Unplugging the battery cable and then plug it in again did help me. Back in the past when the cellphone got stuck we used to do the same thing by simply taking the battery out. Unfortunately, everything is irremovable nowadays.

My wife's Lenovo 320 took a crap and would not come on. I didn't have to remove the CMOS battery but removing the main battery seemed to do the trick! I noticed that the cooling fan was really dirty so I decided to clean it with some electronic spray cleaner on it and all the connection points. It's back together now and purring like a kitten! Thank you so much for making this video.

Awesome! I was having this exact same problem and the only way we could get the computer to turn on was a pin in the reset button. It turns out the key board data cable was a bit loose and after following your instructions at about the 19-20 minute mark our issue has been fixed. Thanks!

These integrated keyboards seem to be problematic. I have seen plenty with a fault that types specific characters on their own. Disconnecting the kb and using an external kb is not an option as the power button is also disabled. Workaround bormally is to apply thin sticky tape to all but the left 2 contacts on the ribbon cable. Left 2 with the cable pointed away from you. Carefully reinsert the ribbon cable and you have disabled the kb but for the power button.

Their is a way through to this. Onthe left side of laptop, you will find a novo button. The Novo button is usually located on the side or near the power button of the machine. The button is either a small button or pinhole with a backwards arrow icon next to it that resembles an upside down U. Just insert a pin to press the button and the system will start. Buying a new laptop for such a small trouble doesnt seem worth it. Hope it helps

Suspect bad battery. An important signal coming from battery to super io on motherboard is missing hence the bad behaviour. Also check pins out of keyboard connector with MMEter. Check input mosfets at ac adapter. Maybe shorting one of them would bypass the control signalling and get things behaving normal. Would be interesting to keep playing with it.

When I just search for the symptom and the model number a lot of people were talking about it. The fix according to the majority of people talking about it is to replace the keyboard since that's where the power button is and apparently that is likely the problem. It could also be a motherboard problem in some circumstances.

Open it up and disconnect the battery hold down the power button for about 30 seconds then just plug in the AC adapter and see if it'll power on with the battery not connected. If that works just connect the battery again close it up you're done. If it doesn't try reseating the RAM sticks and if there's two RAM sticks try one at a time and see if you get video.

@@markregalado6279 Did you replace the battery thinking it would then boot successfully? If so it usually doesn't work that way. What about following the video and removing the main battery and the coin battery and then connect the AC adapter. It may boot up and work.

My laptop Lenovo idea pad 320 just made the same thing. It was fully charged and then turned off,
I tried different charger but there was no lights blinking ,i ordered a new battery, and my laptop turned on. I plugged it into charge and started using it normally and after 4-6 minutes it just died again,
No turning on. Tried everything you’ve done in your window.
I think its the mother board issue😪

My question is does Lenovo 320 have a removable RAM though I didn't see you open the RAM section?

How is it going to work with the bios battery disconnect .you did not try the battery to see if it was charged.

The CMOS battery is there to keep the settings in the CMOS. It's not required for the computer to work. Removing it clears the CMOS settings back to the factory defaults.

The problem iam having with my acer laptop is the battery is dead but it still use to boot up now it would thak 5 minutes to boot but now it would boot blue light is on I can here the hard drive cycle like it's trying to boot so I have try all the you tube fixs except changing the CMOS battery. You said it will work without the battery but if you google it it controls most functions time and date etcetera

It has to be the keyboard. I have the same problem. I did exactly everything that was done in this video. Finally came on but my keyboard doesn't work at all.
