- It turned out to be more expensive to properly fix than to just buy a new laptop but I did get it up and running.

This is the one I have. It has the same 64bit set along with some other useful tools and a carrying case.

Your help was much appreciated my friend. Unplugging the battery cable and then plug it in again did help me. Back in the past when the cellphone got stuck we used to do the same thing by simply taking the battery out. Unfortunately, everything is irremovable nowadays.
Thanks for tips, you saved me an 8 hour drive. Much appreciated.
Your video was very helpful. I had the same exact issue but it wasn't a keyboard issue for me. After trying ur steps of dismantling, removing battery, etc (5-6 times) mine finally came on without shutting off anymore (every 5sec before). Many thanks and respect bro
This worked like a charm! Thank you for saving me a lot of money in repairs. It’s strange how manufacturers are making it hard to get to the battery like this
If you followed along and did what I did in the video your battery won't charge because it's not in the laptop.
Them do that so the save on weight
I can imagine this video was uploaded 3years ago but it just saved me a lotta cash today
My laptop just wouldn't turn on for weeks now and I took it to an engineer who told me there's a problem with the motherboard.
But just following these steps, I have fixed it
Thank you so much for this tutorial
God bless you 💖
Thanks. I'm glad it helped you out.
Good thing you wrote it off. This usually required a motherboard plus keyboard replacement. The recessed reset hole beside the sd card slot can turn this Notebook on well.
Thank you! Perfect solution to the exact problem I was having for my daughter's laptop. Saved me a ton of frustration.
Thanx alot man!!!!! I used the tutorial for my Ideapad 130 and it worked perfectly. It was the only detailed tutorial that actually helped.
Thanks loads, first attempt to remove the battery and start the laptop worked like a charm
Thank you, it ended up being a shorted lithium ion battery in my sons S340, he must have stepped on it. Extremely helpful
Thanks for the video.
Found out it was the power cord and not the battery. Changed the battery anyway since I had the computer apart.
My wife's Lenovo 320 took a crap and would not come on. I didn't have to remove the CMOS battery but removing the main battery seemed to do the trick! I noticed that the cooling fan was really dirty so I decided to clean it with some electronic spray cleaner on it and all the connection points. It's back together now and purring like a kitten! Thank you so much for making this video.
Thank you Micheal the Computer guy. This video was really helpful with my laptop not turning on.
Thank you! Very useful! My E550 was not turning on at all so I took it appart and it seems like the CMOS battery had to be uplugged/replugged for it to work again
You did a bios reset...
Awesome! I was having this exact same problem and the only way we could get the computer to turn on was a pin in the reset button. It turns out the key board data cable was a bit loose and after following your instructions at about the 19-20 minute mark our issue has been fixed. Thanks!
Your magic worked wonders, mate!
you've a proffesional attitude.
This helped me a lot. Thank you so much
Thank you very much for making this video! It totally saved me.
Thank you very much. You are really my savior. I don't need to spend some money to go to a repair shop. I'm John from The Philippines.
Thank you for your video, you totally saved the day and me a bunch of cash!
Thank you for the video. You really saved my computer.
Disconnecting the CMOS battery works. Great video. Much appreciated.
Oooh my brother from another mother 😁!!! I love you bro! You saved the life of a man in DRC 🇨🇩🇨🇩🇨🇩
Thank you so much I have been in tears I worked really hard on my assignment and I’m a single mum with five children and I can’t afford another computer or to get it fixed and this is fixed it God bless you and the name of Jesus
OMG you are a lifesaver dude! I spilled water on my Lenovo Ideapad 3 and it wouldn't turn back on for me. I dreaded having to go spend more money to get it to a shop! Thanks to you $00.00 this mama had to spend
Better method is never invest in a Lenovo
Same hear
Well I didn't pay for it anywaya

I tried the above to no avail booted it with reset button unplugged keyboard ribbon cable and it stayed on. Guess the power bottom is shorted? Going to buy a new keypad.
THANK YOU BRO ,YOUR VIDEO IS SO HELPFUL....
Thank you so so much!!! Forever grateful
My man u are a life saver
Very well explained and detailed. Well done, thanks
Thank you bro, it was really really great.
Since last week, my laptop, on power button dropped some drops of water, Tried many things to fix it, but not sucessful. By chance I saw your videos, and now I fixed it.
It worked to me from 20:25.
Lenovo Ideapad 330-15ikb
Best wishes for you
❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
I dont know maybe it was because of drops of water, or maybe it was because of updating the bios.
Thanks any way.
Right, It does not work with the connected battery and the battery must be removed and only works with direct charge and turns on automatically.
You've uploaded this video 2 years ago, did you find a solution for it? Or something else?
I disconnected Cmos battery and big battery, and now it works perfectly. Is it ok to use it without cmos battery for short and long time???
The keyboard is most likely the cause of it not powering up. Removing the cmos battery and main battery is just a work around. Finding a replacement keyboard may be difficult.
Thx bro love yah, mine haven't been working for 2years surprised when I followed this
Omg it works! !! Thank you so much mine is working again 😩😊
Thanks for the video bro... its works and was the same issue as urs after put back battery it doesn't turn on.. but the system still on no display. And in switched it off and turns on everything works fine thank you..
i did all of this but nothing worked so what could be the reason it's not turning on? also you said that the problem of her laptop was the motherboard, what is likely to be the reason for a motherboard to be broken? thank you sir
Thank you so much. It helps fixing our laptop.
This worked - very good infirmation! Thank you so much.
Thanks man! I could turn it on again! Your video is one of very few ones that actually works and in my case IT WORKED!
Worked for me. Thanks for sharing
An old plastic credit/store card can also be used to go around the edges to break the 'seal' after removing the screws.
Thank you man it works May God bless you
I'm facing the same problem.but if i disconnect the keyboard connection from motherboard laptop turns on and works fine but if i connect it again then it shuts down.does this mean my laptop's keyboard is broken?
Yes
it worked
you my friend are a life saver
today ! this video saved the day. Thank you !!!!
Suspect bad battery. An important signal coming from battery to super io on motherboard is missing hence the bad behaviour. Also check pins out of keyboard connector with MMEter. Check input mosfets at ac adapter. Maybe shorting one of them would bypass the control signalling and get things behaving normal. Would be interesting to keep playing with it.
thank you very muchhh, i can used again the only resource i have for my online classss!!!
Thank you so much, it's so helpful for me
Hi, I have a lenovo ideapad 15ITL6 that won't boot. when I plug in the charger it lights up red and the start button flashes but after a few seconds the charging light and the light on the start button go out? have tried disconnecting the battery for like 5 minutes but it doesn't make any difference.
Thank you very much for your video. It saved me a lot. And I learnt something new.
I'm glad to help.

Hey .. idk but when i press my power button for 1 time. It doesn't respond but holding it can make me access the novo button menu and i can boot this thing up and yes no battery issue i can access my laptop without plugging in !
hey mate, do you know how to fix the x1 yoga lenovo its power button isnt in the keyboard but it doesnt work, im tired already, please help me thank you so much!
That would require a lot of troubleshooting. I have to have it in front of me.
30 sec power button hold after battery removal worked on Ideapad S340. Thanks
Thanks a lot the video was very helpful
Thanks man! I have a Lenovo Legion 5 that didn't turn on anymore. But I detached both batteries and placed them back just like you did in this video. And now it works again :D
Thanks
This helped me a lot!!!
320 15ikb: After removing battery and plugging in charger, laptop start (without pressing power button) with lenovo sign and shows "checking media" and sudden stop with a beep sound. What can i do now?
Make sure the boot drive, hdd or ssd, is plugged in.
Their is a way through to this. Onthe left side of laptop, you will find a novo button. The Novo button is usually located on the side or near the power button of the machine. The button is either a small button or pinhole with a backwards arrow icon next to it that resembles an upside down U. Just insert a pin to press the button and the system will start. Buying a new laptop for such a small trouble doesnt seem worth it. Hope it helps
thanks for the tip.
In my Lenovo IdeaPad there no novobutton how should i reset it tried cmos but problem is not solved
Hello good sir. I'm having the same issues on the same model. After you removed that battery and drained the power, you plugged in the adapter while the battery was out. Did the charging light come on? I was unable to be sure in the video
Awesome video - plenty of detail and problem solving skills. Often ,it's the little tecnicalities which help viewers - not necessarily the ultimate fix to the problem. Keep it up. Why, oh why, don't manufacturers standardise and make the units fit for universal repair!
If you leave everything connected you can start the laptop by pressing the poweron button until it start. It is the same failsafe as removing the cmos battery.
So i tried it but still didn't work.. What dp ypu think could be the ppssible reasons?! Please reply i need it for my assignments 😭😭
Mine doesn't indicate charging at all. No led blinking, what might be the problem?
Could be failed charger, broken dc jack or failed motherboard
Hi, Great video.. got a Lenovo Yoga 710 and press power it doesn't post to Lenovo logo.. only thing that happens is the keyboard backlight blinks.. Any suggestions?
I have a question? I have a problem with the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ARH05 laptop
After starting the laptop, a white LED lights up to indicate that the laptop is working.
The fans turn on for a moment, and after a while the fans turn off.
The laptop screen is black.
What do you think might be damaged in the laptop?
Open it up and disconnect the battery hold down the power button for about 30 seconds then just plug in the AC adapter and see if it'll power on with the battery not connected. If that works just connect the battery again close it up you're done. If it doesn't try reseating the RAM sticks and if there's two RAM sticks try one at a time and see if you get video.
NOT ALL IS LOST.
I have a computer with the exact same problem as your customer's. There is a solution to it. Leave the battery and the CMOS battery connected. You power it on with the reset button next to the SD card slot. There's a pinhole next to the the slot.
Other than that, its removing the batteries as mentioned in the video.
My laptop lenovo yoga plug in charging but not increasing I have buy more than 2 batteries from different shops all still the same problem
My question is does Lenovo 320 have a removable RAM though I didn't see you open the RAM section?
No
Thank you so much, it worked.
Very useful information 👍👍
Thanks bro. It helped me alot.
i am having somewhat simmilar issue with my ideapad 330 the motherboard and the power lights turn ON when i plug in the charger (I dont have a battery) plus mines come with builtin RAM. holding power button flickers the light on the motherboard but there is no display and the cooling fan does not come on.
I had similar problem earlier . the repairing guys told me the motherboard was dead. but later few months it stareted on its own. now its repeating the same issue.
Please guide me.
Most likely a motherboard issue
My laptop not charging and not turning on after replace new battery, could you please help ?
Excellent job 👍 nice explanation.. tks
i have the same one and the usb stopped working permanently after a surge. i tried almost every troubleshoot online and none worked. if anyone can help me with this please respond.
These integrated keyboards seem to be problematic. I have seen plenty with a fault that types specific characters on their own. Disconnecting the kb and using an external kb is not an option as the power button is also disabled. Workaround bormally is to apply thin sticky tape to all but the left 2 contacts on the ribbon cable. Left 2 with the cable pointed away from you. Carefully reinsert the ribbon cable and you have disabled the kb but for the power button.
U can also use the novo startup u dont need the power button
@@elibralol6214 how to use novo startup bro
@@badalthakare8093 so idk if u have the 320 model but its one the side on ur laptop where the usb ports are next to the sd card slot is a tiny hole where u can press it with something small like a thoothpick or sum then u plug ur external keyboard since the keyboard donr work and press on the blue menu normal startup boot with enter and then it should work fine u can also look on youtube how to do the novo startup if my explanation wasnt good enough i hope this helped u a bit
God bless you boss, my dead laptop is now live after 6 months of stress

How about if it will not turn on due to the hibernation and charged the whole night. I had tried already pressing the button for 30secs. and remove the battery but I haven't tried yet the CMOS
Yep. Try cmos
On my Lenovo laptop PC Windows 7 I tried to get Windows 7 Professional once but failed and now it won’t turn on yet. But I’ll have another look as long as I hold the power button for 2 minutes.
After I forced shutdow my lenovo it won't turn on anymore? Any idea??
