Great adventure, thanks for taking us along. My favorite part, no music, just the sounds of the Jeep on the road, water crossings, and beautiful northern New England.
Great vid, thanks for sharing! I also want to thank you for answering location questions. I get that these places need to be kept as they are, but making it easier for someone to find is nice. Especially when so many work so much an exploration time is limited. I make all my tracks and sites public on gia & onX for the same reasons.
@@north2xplore ok cool we generally camp out of the side by side but that place alone looks like it would be worth a trip in just the truck ! I wish the atv trails passed through the waterway
We love it there, but had a hard time finding a camp spot during the hunting season. When were you there? It looks like you had no problem getting great spots. We stayed at Dole Pond.
Although it is not shown, we spent 2 nights at Big Machias Lake. 50 miles North, West or East would put us in Canada. In your opinion, what would be considered the North Maine Woods, other than the place called "The North Maine Woods"?
Actually if one is on the northern road.. even at the very beginning your less than twenty miles from the North Maine Woods. Seeing they were at Dole.. ya they were exactly where they said they were, in the NMW.

Thanks!
Great video… Rockwood to Rumford cracked us up.
incredible morning footage at 18:12. Nice.
Thank you. Yes we had spectacular sunrises almost every morning.

Need to do the stud mill road
We are planning that soon, since I now live DownEast.
There you go! My first time on it was at night and I almost hit two moose. I live in Downeast too.
Looked like an awesome road trip
Yes it was, can't wait to get back there!
When you’re camping between the two lakes, what lakes were they? Nice video!
I know you said it but I couldn’t make it out lol
@@HillsideAcres It is Dole Pond in the North Maine Woods. The two bodies of water are separated but I only see the one name for both.

@Riverkingz 207 , it is within the North Maine Woods, 20 Mile Checkpoint. Dole Pond campsite
@@HillsideAcres I'm glad they don't allow ATVs in the North Maine Woods. They would tear up everything. Shoe rubber express.
We were there at the same time, great area!

Sorry to tell you but you weren't even close to the northern Maine woods. Another 100 mIles would have made it.
