I learned the hard way years ago when i had some fray cuffs on a carthart coat. Nearlly broke my arm because as we know, the machine does not stop instantly due to the tourqe and the right hand wound cable steel. I usually have a long sleeve shirt on with the cuffs fully buttoned. And also good Redwing shoes or boots laced all the way up !
