Hi Chandoo.. thanks for the Top 10 Excel formulas for IT people.. all very instructive and useful. Always some good learning and inspiration at your channel. Thumbs up!!
Sir thanks for another innovative and formulas focussed for particular sector .... I really appreciate the way you explain it ... I am using 2016 and always looks forward for alternative for 2019 functions and office 365 ... request to just mention those alternate ways in your videos. Thanks again
Chandoo . I like yur videos. Just a recommendation I would like to pass a long. Try to put yur test cases in tabs instead of the same sheet to prevent yur audience for scrolling down to find the example you discussed.
In VBA I would like to find for each occurrence of a selected Position Title "Executive" in the Master Sheet and match it to a selected range of 12 industry sectors. Then transfer that line to a Named Sheet. I have been following you for as many years as you have been preparing these youtube videos.
Thanks for following me all these years Greg. You might find Power Query is better suited for this. Here is an example - ruclips.net/video/ELYrVwR7ydo/видео.html
in the case of the number of cases done per day, what happens if there are two days tied for the same number? Is there a way to get both dates or will it default to the date in the data list that matches?
Hi Dave... the lookup functions in Excel all show just the first matching date. You can use FILTER() function to see all matching records, like this: =FILTER(testing, testing[cases done]=small(testing[cases done],2)) For more on filter, refer to this page - chandoo.org/wp/dynamic-array-functions/
You can... to get fractions between 1 to 10, try one of these =randbetween(1,100)/10 - fraction to one decimal place =randbetween(1,1000)/100 - fraction to two decimal places
Hi Magi... good question. You can do most of the data collection, cleanup, analysis & visualization in Python using various libraries. Many of the VBA automation activities can also be done with Python. That said, certain things are only possible in Excel / VBA (same for Python). I am not a python specialist, so please subscribe to Python programming channels for such info. If there is enough interest, I will create "Getting started with Python for Excel people" video. Please like this comment to tell me how keen you are for this. :)
