I like that she sees Phase Connect as almost a family business, something they're building together, because that's usually the only way some sort of lasting legacy is achieved, not corpos controlled by shareholders. That said, it seems much more likely for someone's work to be made null if a company simply decides to get rid of one's channels, as has happened to any number of big Vtubers. At least indies don't have to worry about that, unless it comes from the platform itself.

Its hard to conceptualize when the situation right now for many makes it hard to make any progress in your own life. If you have no hope of buying your own house, or that continually be in debt til you die just to survive, how can you conceptualize that you'll have anything leave your kids? In terms for Lumi yes she sees that shes investing her time into a company that reciprocates her involvement by taking her efforts and growing with that, but that is not true for 99% of the rest of us. The companies that we work for don't care if we live or die so long as you're making the owner or shareholder rich.
