Oh yeah there's an interview on this performance. James Hetfield talks about performing in front of 500, 000 people on the Joe Rogan podcast. Really cool.
What I love the most about watching you guy’s watching these videos about Metallica preforming live is..... you guy’s can’t believe that there’s that many people!!! It’s a sea of people.... huge, 1.6 million
1.6 million fans in that crowd....can you believe that s**t?! They're metal gods, them and Pantera were and will always be the greatest metal bands...ever....
Yo I got a live Metallica video that I never see get reacted to: “The Unforgiven” live San Diego 1992. Yes Metallica is definitely number one because of James Hetfield. Him and Eddie Van Halen are the reason I taught myself how to play guitar
I had to sub after this one , nice reaction bro.. there is so many iconic bands before and after metallica so there's always gonna be talk about who's number one, for me it is metallica, i heard master of puppets in '86 and was hooked right away
@@peanutcsgo you could argue that every big band have some form of auto tune for their live album a or dvds but only minimally if required for an off note. I’ve seen Metallica live 9 times and James is pretty on point
@@andyk2607 That's what makes it so sad though... I would rather have the raw James on live albums than what they did with Nimes 2009 or S&M 1999 for example. The autotune on those concerts isn't even subtle anymore if you listen to the isolated vocals (I'm not saying they used it live, I know they don't, I'm saying they "corrected" his vocals when they mixed those concerts' recordings). For example, at the end of the second verse of -Human (...down my THROAT again...), he misses a note, but the way they corrected that mistake makes that moment even worse than if they had just left it.
@@andyk2607 And don't even get me started about Nimes... His voice is so extremely robotically pitch-corrected in every single line of every single song, it just pains me.
Yeah, I have been to four Metallica concerts all the way back to '85 right after Cliff was killed.RIP. So yeah they are in my top 3. Mostly their first 4 albums.
Metallica Number 1! I'll be 20 next Wednesday and been my number 1 since I was little. The first band I've ever heard and now my all time favorite. James is the reason why I play guitar now. 6+ years on guitar:)
Thanks for the VID, man👍 I'm russian, I wasn't on this show unfortunately (I was 2 y.o.), but I have this tape on the self/made DVD and I watch it mostly often. I had seen Metallica in 2010, and they have amazing rock show with fire pyrotechnics and lasers, still remember it.. Also, M-ca is in my top3 list of fav bands (the others are "Paradise Lost" (UK) and "THERAPY?" from Northern Ireland, I think). Greets to you from Moscow🇷🇺 (Hardwired was not so good, I'm dissapointed, "SA" and "DM" like much more) PS Maybe their next release will be great🙏
Metallica changed my life. From the time I was a kid and heard Seek and Destroy on WCW TV to when I was in middle school and heard the Black Album for the first time, every time I heard a song it stuck with me and left an impact. I learned how to play guitar because I wanted to make the sounds they made on songs like Unforgiven, Wherever I May Roam, and even St. Anger. Metallica is #1 for me for a number of reasons.
Great selection/reaction brother thank you🙏🏼👏🏼👍🏼 And yes Metallica’s number 1 all-time hard rock/heavy metal not even close at this point..be like if Jordan in his prime left the Bulls and went back to UNC🤘🏼
Metallica is my #1, were in the top 3 forever but after seeing them again live they are now #1. I'm in my early 50's, just like them. They have gotten better.
Metallica has been and will always be in my top 3 easy, they are my #1, have been since 1984 when I was gifted a copy of Kill Em All from a friend who lived in California . Music, writing, performance , fan interaction on and off the stage , they have it all. There is a reason they are known and loved around the world .
In my top 3 since I saw them at the whiskey a' go go in L.A. on their Kill em' All tour.... Saw them 14 times after that, when they were younger, UNSTOPPABLE!!
I loved your reaction! Metallica is my favorite band. Harvester of Sorrow is my favorite song. It has been for about 6 months now. It has been my favorite song multiple times in the past few decades. Hetfield is my favorite guitarist. He’s held the #1 spot in my book for around a year now. Angus Young from AC/DC had the #1 spot before James Hetfeild. I used to hate that album “And Justice For All” when I was a teenager. My friend always played it in his car. Now that Album is my #1 Album of all time, with songs 4,5,6 being three of my favorite songs of all time. Harvester of Sorrow being #1 at the moment. P.S. Kudos to Hammett on them leads! Thanks again for the Cool video! Loved it!
Yes, absolutely in top three! They are all musical geniuses who instead of going to Juliard decided to start a metal band💥 So glad they found each other🙏🏼❤️ Second would be Pearl Jam
For me, born in 73, There are 3 that are the best of all time. different decades and genres but the best. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Metallica. Also Queen , The Byrds, and Guns-n- Roses...have to be mentioned. Then Alice in Chains, Lynerd Skynerd, Boston and The Cars.
Hetfield was on Joe Rogan's show a couple of years ago they talked about this show. Also, it wasn't security, it was the Russian Army doing crowd control.
Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera and Tool are my top 4... they're all at the same level in my book. I couldn't say one was better than the other. They're very different and the best at what they do.
Yup, it really happened. The drummer cut his finger on his kit and bled all over the drumhead and just kept playing 😅 they’re in their late 50s and just dropped a new single. There’s a whole documentary where they talked to the Russian people about fighting the soldiers and some dying for the chance at freedom. 50+ people died at the festival. I think some at the hands of the soldiers.
Letting you know, those were not police. They were Soviet Union military officers with batons. People got skulls busted here. Estimated an easy over 1.6 million people showed. It was a free concert
I AM FROM RUSSIA AND HAVE BEEN LISTENING THEM SINCE 1986 AND WATCHED THIS CONCERT ON TV AS I LIVE IN SIBERIA AND ONLY GOT TO THE CONCERT FROM MOSCOW AND THE AREA IF ALL FANS GOT TO THE CONCERT THEN MORE THAN 20 MILLION WAS
Metallica is #1 on my list, simply because I’ve been a huge fan since 1984, have been to at least 14 concerts, got to meet the band in 2009 finally, which was a dream of mine since I was 12, and I’ve stuck with them through it all. While I love their first four albums, I also love the black album. I like a lot of songs off Load, not too many off Re-Load though. I can’t listen to St. Anger due to the production quality, it just grates on me, but Death Magnetic and Hardwired are both great albums that get back towards their roots. My total top 3 is probably Metallica, Alice In Chains and then third is difficult. I’d say there’s a ton of bands tied for third including Megadeth, Pearl Jam, Testament, Five Finger Death Punch and many more.
Metallica is the be all, end all in my book.. I love music, and I love many bands, muscians, artists.. from many genres. but Metallica is my true heart!
Спросите вы уже у нас. Было по разным данным от 50 000 до 100 000 человек. Это очень много. Про миллион придумали журналисты. Это не отменяет эпичность мероприятия. Metallica forever!)
The special thing about this band isn’t their talent…there are bands far more talented. They just know what sounds good that’s the only thing that matters.
LIVE SHIT: BINGE AND PURGE. Is a video that documents a year-and-a-half of their life on the road. That's actually where this video that you're watching comes from.
You have to have some very big balls to go to play in Moscow, especially an American band in the middle of a political crisis between the two countries at that time, and Metallic knew how to do it!! Greetings from Chile dude!!🇨🇱🔥
They have been my #1 since 85' 💯🔥🤘
Rough question. Kinks, Stones, Led Zep, Okay, Metallica #3
you have me beat by 4 years, 89 for me
Same here buddy
100% 🤘🏼
Yeah, Metallica is in my top 3... three times.
Oh yeah there's an interview on this performance. James Hetfield talks about performing in front of 500, 000 people on the Joe Rogan podcast. Really cool.
That concert had a estimated 1.6 - 2 million people attending that concert
Metallica as a teen is what got me into metal and still is my favourite metal band to this day. Moscow was phenomenal
James hetfield did a joe Rogan pod cast and they talked about this concert
Definitely my #1 band! Their music helped me with my anger and stress.
Lol Metallica is my favorite band of all time. I have over 60 of their songs on my phone. No other band comes close
Number 1 since 80s. Metallica are the kings James Hetfield is the ultimate front man and song writer for his style.
Hell yes! They are my number one band of all time! No question!
Unimaginable, indescribable, mind-blowing, unforgettable moment in live rock performances
What I love the most about watching you guy’s watching these videos about Metallica preforming live is..... you guy’s can’t believe that there’s that many people!!! It’s a sea of people.... huge, 1.6 million
They have been my number one band since the 80's!! I own every album and listen to them all the time. They are the greatest metal band ever!!
I seen them twice on this tour, the one time it was them Guns-n-Roses and Faith no More
1.6 million fans in that crowd....can you believe that s**t?!
You think them Red Army dudes played games?
At their peak? Best band I've ever seen. Even the Red Army at the fall of the Soviet Union said oh shit it's Metalllica let me take a Poloroid
I had to sub after this one , nice reaction bro.. there is so many iconic bands before and after metallica so there's always gonna be talk about who's number one, for me it is metallica, i heard master of puppets in '86 and was hooked right away
To see Metallica still kicking ass live, please react to 'the day that never comes' live in Nimes, France 2009. It's epic
These guy’s have been doing this 30 years, 30 years... absolutely.. hands down fuckin awesome
sadly they autotuned James' voice on all of their live albums from 2009 to 2012 or so
@@peanutcsgo you could argue that every big band have some form of auto tune for their live album a or dvds but only minimally if required for an off note. I’ve seen Metallica live 9 times and James is pretty on point

I grew up in the '80's so Metallica has a special place in my heart. They are in my top 3 along with Pink Floyd and Tool.
My top three of all time, in order:
3. Nirvana (Unplugged, not the rest)
2. Metallica (several albums)
1. Hank Williams Sr. (probably ~100 songs)
Yeah, I have been to four Metallica concerts all the way back to '85 right after Cliff was killed.RIP. So yeah they are in my top 3. Mostly their first 4 albums.
Been a fan since I discovered them in '86. I was 12 when I first heard Master of Puppets.
The first time I heard Metallica when I was 4 years old and never stopped
Metallica Number 1! I'll be 20 next Wednesday and been my number 1 since I was little. The first band I've ever heard and now my all time favorite. James is the reason why I play guitar now. 6+ years on guitar:)
Number 1 band, no doubt!
I first heard Metallica when I was 13, and there was no going back!
Ppl still leaving from that concert in Moscow
My top 3
1 Metallica
2 Guns N Roses
3 Ozzy Osborne

That security..... is the old soviet military ....head busters
yes there is an interview about this performance, hetfield said he couldnt see the end of the crowd
Metallica is my #1, were in the top 3 forever but after seeing them again live they are now #1. I'm in my early 50's, just like them. They have gotten better.
Yep. I’ve seen them 18 times in three different countries. Legends.
Metallica has been and will always be in my top 3 easy, they are my #1, have been since 1984 when I was gifted a copy of Kill Em All from a friend who lived in California . They are the ultimate band man metallica rules the world
Been rockin with em since I was 9, 1984, and yes...#1 for me by miles.

I think 1.5 million in attendance in USSR.

Favorite band easy🤘🏼..great channel brother👍🏼
metallica is just the greatest band that ever walked on earth
Hay, brother.... they bring it!!!!!!!! Can you imagine a rapper or a country singer doing this!!!!!!!
There is nothing better than METALLICA
Hetfield was on Joe Rogan's show a couple of years ago they talked about this show.
Also, it wasn't security, it was the Russian Army doing crowd control.
My man, RUclips Joe Rogans podcast with James Hetfield, there’s a clip where they talk specifically about this concert
They’ve been my #1 since 6th grade. I’ve been on the third rock from the sun for 41 years
“Give it up security, you ain’t bad enough”
My favorite band of all time
They will never, never disappoint!!!!!!!!
Absolutely! #1 Metallica, #2 Iron Maiden, #3 Van Halen
Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera and Tool are my top 4... they're all at the same level in my book. I couldn't say one was better than the other. They're very different and the best at what they do.
Been since 1986 ❤METALLICA ❤
They are my number 1!! I have loved them since the mid 80s! Followed by in no particular order- Judas Priest/ linkin park/ avenged sevenfold
Fine taste in music...
Ever hear Black Sabbath?

Absolutely positively number 1
This concert was historically significant….
I do, they were #1 when I was a teen but they are like #3 to 4 because Pantera, Korn & SlipKnot, but it’s hard to actually rank them
A year and a half in the life of..Mettalica. It's a documentary on this album. This video comes from the documentary. ✊
My top3: Linkin park, Depeche Mode, and Ac/Dc or Red hot chili peppers
Fan since ‘80🤘🏼
Metallica is my favourite band of ALL TIME
You know Metallica jams when a Soviet soldier takes off his uniform coat and swings it around 🤙
Letting you know, those were not police. They were Soviet Union military officers with batons. People got skulls busted here. Estimated an easy over 1.6 million people showed. It was a free concert
Totally in my top 3. No question.
They were, are and will be my #1 all time!
Always been my number ☝🏼🥇 I saw them 5 times miss the 80’s 🥳😎
1. Metallica, when I first got Master of Puppets back in 86. Been number 1 since. 2 & 3 are Aerosmith and AC/DC respectively.

Metallica is the GOAT
Metallica is the be all, end all in my book.. I love music, and I love many bands, muscians, artists.. from many genres. but Metallica is my true heart!
This is The Monster of Rock Concert in 91. They six other bands there, I think
Yes there is a documentary type thing called A Day In The Life. Close on the top 3. I love listening to them. Megadeth and Pantera are awesome though.
i would do anything to fucking be there man... imagine the energy
Even the soldiers were mashing. METALLICA ruled.
Even love Megadeth, and tons of other metal acts. But they are my all time fave.

Ozzy was my first, but but I was introduced to Metallica ride the lighting, it was alll over from there for me Metallica became 1 number for me

Number 1 without question
best ever next to black sabbath
Metallica my fav band since 86
