I remember seeing Nosferatu in Spongebob, good times 😊
It’s an iconic joke
Ohhh nosferatu
@@666slateran666 😦😃
I remember seeing nosferatu in theaters in 1922, great times
Nosferatu must have been absolutely terrifying in 1922. Herzog's Nosferatu and Shadow of the Vampire are also pretty great in their own right.
Can't wait for the Eggers film
My introduction to Nosferatu was indeed SpongeBob
Also fun fact: Orlok's actor's, Max Schreck, translates to "Max Scare"
Eggers' Nosferatu is one of the very few movie to which I am really looking forward this year.
As for the original from Murnau, I really like it. Of course, it's a 100+ years old silent movie, so it must be approached for what it is, but its atmosphere is still dark and oppressing and many visuals are so stunning that have rightfully become iconic.
It’s pretty insane that there’s movies that are already 100+ years old lmao
That episode in SpongeBob used to scare me as a kid😢
My first born son came out looking like a goblin vampire, so for his first Halloween I dressed him as Nosferatu 😂
lmfao
5:19 and whole clan in VTM named after him, members of the clan also look like him
That whole “plague of evil” is something from the books that I haven’t seen done in any other adaptations of Dracula. The original novel has some supernatural occurrences take place as Dracula is on his way to London which based on the rest of the novel can’t have been directly perpetrated by him. He brings with him many other evils just like Nosferatu
So hyped for this remake coming.
You made me realize that House Oorlock from Necromunda is named after the Count!
Ooooh, any chance of you covering the Werner Herzog remake? Klaus Kinski gives one of the single greatest performances in all of cinema in that version.
Nosferatu stop playing with the lights
I don't know if I'd say Orlok isn't scary by today's standards. The reason people meme about him is because of that Spongebob episode but put that aside and he's still unsettlingly to watch. Under a different director he probably would be cheesy but with Murnau's directing skills that's far from the case. It's like how the xenomorphs might've gotten less scary in the public eye cause of sequels, toys, video games etc but go back and watch the original Alien with context and you'll shit yourself
Great to see historical content
This was a great video Ryan! You seem to prefer this to the original Dracula story.
People really do themselves a disservice by not watching older films (I could say silent, black and white, and foreign movies). There is an atmosphere in this movie, and many others, that modern films do not have, and if you get into the right mindset, I think people will discover how amazing these movies are.
Also if you like this film, you should definitely watch the movie Vampyr by Carl Dreyer, it has one of the creepiest burial scenes ever and the atmosphere is great.
My recommendation is if you’re bored watching the silent version. There’s a version where Type O Negative played music over the whole movie.
Nice video, bro!
I watch Nosferatu 1 time the black and white one
It was a interesting movie that I enjoyed watching i would say it’s old but a good one
I clicked really fast and thought this was a mother fuckin Zodd video lol
I’m just not interested in this type of movie, but I do love the design of the vampire, it’s actually the picture that pops into my mind if you’re talking about vampires.
Is the new update going to be a follow up to the Last Voyage of the Demeter? I love all thing Nosferatu and Dracula 🧛♂️!
1:35 I had a similar feeling when I watched Metropolis by Fritz Lang, it’s amazing seeing a movie in an era before not even sound film but WW2 or the Great Depression.
Nosfeeeraaatuuuu 😎👉👉
Wait if that was you on the phone and you on the bus, then who was flickering the lights?
*lights flickering* Nosferatuuu!
I like the version that has type o negative music playing throughout.
Man that's a band I haven't listened to in a really long time
Berserk reference?
Huh? This video isnt about Nosferatu Zodd!!! 🤬
👌
Don’t make this film would like crap and the words don’t make it look like crap made it without a blockbuster good movies played Roger Corman rated or even Steven steel word leaving Timberton
nosferadeeznutz
They better do it right and they’ve heard and they better know what the hell they’re doing and they made a good flight. Don’t make it worthwhile and Edward film please I don’t need the water and Wood version motor altos that would be crappy so please do it right
You’re here talking about Nosferatu when the worst thing that ever happened in Chainsaw Man occurred yesterday. As a CSM fan I’m insulted, but this movie does look really good.
tell it to your waifu
You mean your mom? Sure 👍
@@philzh7973 no, i meant your body pillow. You wouldn't have the nerve to talk to a real woman.
