2:06:30 comments re:load bearing base. The perimeter walls are load bearing. They take up all the lateral loads and keep the columns from moving. The steel that’s in place now can take up quite a bit, but they can’t add too many modules above before filling those walls with concrete. By the California Architect

1:44:13 comments about septic tank. The 2 large black tanks to the left of the triangle building are for waste water. That’s why they piped all the way to that area because the plumbing is already in that location for the sewer connection. Right now they actually have those all over Starbase to collect from the toilets and they have pump trucks come on a regular basis to remove the black water. That seems like a temporary fix to me.

2:19:33 comments re: cable spool. It is sooo big that they have to get that in the base before they weld all that steel around it and cut off the pathway.

the rectangular excavated area could just be some kind of junction for all the massive deluge pipes that are (will be?) underground. That's my guess at least ;)

Re: office building and factory. There needs to be an occupancy separation between an office building that large and a million SF factory. It’s quite confusing based on the extremely large footings that keep showing up. I would assume the designs are changing daily based on the whims of the owner. We all know how fun that is!

I’ve been thinking for a month or more that these are rocket garden foundations, and that there are so many because they’re going to have all versions of starship on display.

When the new office is done, the current office will be demolished and additional high bays will be built at this location. My guess is 3 additional high bays will be built asap. Thoughts?

The ultimate goal, and sooner than you think, is to send a fleet of ships. They will need far more ships than boosters.

The triangle bathroom at launch site: Looks like a vacuum system for the toilets. Suck it out, then pump it under parking lot to the tank.

The large footings in the courtyard area of the new office building appear to be elevator pits. It does appear they have decided to add on more to the office building.
Also: I would guess someone screwed up the steel order for the office. Why that one wing of the building is stuck down at a lower level. They will catch it up quick.
Question: SpaceX has built every building right up to the property lines… Why does the office have a cut off corner instead of following the property line to the road intersection? Are they planning on placing launch control inside that building? Because that cut off corner now faces the launch towers.

Also… see if you can pull some strings and get star hopper put on top of the office building.

I have a friend who wants to do a start-up for a new passenger airline company.
He wants to use stainless steel airplanes because he knows they will be very strong and will protect the passengers much better than aluminum airplanes.
Can any of you SpaceX fans tell me which company out there makes a stainless steel jet airplane? AirBus, Boeing? Maybe a Chinese or Russian company produces an all stainless steel jet passenger or cargo aircraft?

IMO ... .SpaceX is going to be changing to a
reusable all aluminum alloy starship booster and abandon stainless steel for the booster but keeping stainless for Starship until they can get the heat shield perfected. The steel booster is much, much too heavy for delivering profitable payloads to orbit. They will never be able to trim enough steel mass from the booster to make it viable. (Gravity is a harsh mistress for chemical powered rockets). Reusability is good but making profit for shareholders by payload mass to orbit is better and is their # 1 goal. They are also going to replace the Falcon 9 with a new LNG/LOX rocket that will be smaller than Starship but big enough to compete with New Glenn.
There is also a winged space plane coming that will be much different than the space (lemon) shuttle. It will orbit in LEO and geo-stationary orbit. There is a Space Fighter orbiter being built by one of the aerospace firms for the Space Force and will be launched on the new falcon replacement.. Also, a rotating inflatable space station for tourists and business in a LEO is being planned.
A wheel type space station that will be assembled in segments that are identical in outside appearance.
A 3 stage starship with a 40-50 foot diameter reusable composite fairing for oversized payloads like inflatable modules for space stations is coming. 500,000 LBS. LEO payload.
There's a nuclear power Starship being developed by SpaceX and the DOE. It will be used to go to all parts of the solar system including the Moon, Mars, and asteroid mining instead of the cow gas rocket.
One way travel time for Atomic Starship will be 10-14 days to Mars instead of 5-7 months for the bovine fart powered Starship.

"SpaceX is going to be changing to a
reusable all aluminum alloy starship booster and abandon stainless steel for the booster but keeping stainless for Starship until they can get the heat shield perfected" And throw out all of their tooling and data? LOL.
"They will never be able to trim enough steel mass from the booster to make it viable" Incorrect: they only need to trim ~10 tons.
"(Gravity is a harsh mistress for chemical powered rockets)." Way harsher for everything else.
"Reusability is good but making profit for shareholders by payload mass to orbit is better and is their # 1 goal." They are a private company.
"They are also going to replace the Falcon 9 with a new LNG/LOX rocket that will be smaller than Starship but big enough to compete with New Glenn." No reason to do this.
"There is also a winged space plane coming that will be much different than the space (lemon) shuttle." I'm impressed. This bit is only 95% wrong (the correct bit was calling the shuttle a lemon).
"It will orbit in LEO and geo-stationary orbit." No
"There is a Space Fighter orbiter being built by one of the aerospace firms for the Space Force and will be launched on the new falcon replacement.." No
"Also, a rotating inflatable space station for tourists and business in a LEO is being planned." Yes, but not by SpaceX.
"A wheel type space station that will be assembled in segments that are identical in outside appearance." What?
"A 3 stage starship with a 40-50 foot diameter reusable composite fairing" No reason for this.
"for oversized payloads like inflatable modules for space stations is coming. 500,000 LBS. LEO payload." Which is only a 50 ton improvement over reusable V3. There won't be any payloads justifying this, and inflatables are designed to be compact.
"There's a nuclear power Starship being developed by SpaceX and the DOE. It will be used to go to all parts of the solar system including the Moon, Mars, and asteroid mining instead of the cow gas rocket." No.
"One way travel time for Atomic Starship will be 10-14 days to Mars instead of 5-7 months for the bovine fart powered Starship." Do the math: thats impossible without Project Orion (which is illegal).
