eh, dude was getting way too close for a rifle to be as effective on at a corner when hes right handed. Unless he knows how to properly swap to the left with his rifle, going secondary was the call.

You should’ve actually been there. I was across the street from where this happened. My friend and I were in the In-n-Out that’s across the street. We could see the jump out boys coming around the corner. Next thing we know the asshat is laid out.

I work at the Hyundai on that same block and the TRX that got shot was his. He was also allegedly drug running and he kept going in for service because when the suspension in the TRX travels to far it will set a light.

I can’t count The amount of times having a pistol has saved me in COD lol.
actually it depends on how the loading works and how practiced you are at it. also where you are holstering your side arm and how practiced you are at drawing it will make a huge difference.
Someone practiced with an AR-15 can reload it in under 2 seconds. (which is why mag size limits are kind of pointless) Which is only slightly longer than an extremely fast appendix pull...that is of course if you don't have to first move your long gun out of the way before you draw.
When it comes to a video game with preset animations that's always going to be true. but honestly in the real world there are plenty of exceptions and almost all of them come down to training.
@@TheNitroG1I can draw and put a shot in the A zone of an IPSC target at 7-10 yards in under 1sec with another 4-5 in that 2 seconds to reload a long gun.

Yeah, that is correct. i slowed it down and the "rifle" is identical the the other officers less lethal. he transitioned to lethal right after the other officers started shooting at the suspect.

Im not sure if youll see this Donut, but in Kissimmee FL an officer just unloaded his sidearm after being spooked by a falling acorn.
It was okaloosa county and no he won’t review it because he only shows when officers are in the right

I said this in the original video, but I was there 8 days prior to this shooting. My family and I were visiting my grandmother who lives in Sun City, about 5 minutes from this dealership.
As soon as I saw Phoenix Police and not Peoria PD or Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, I knew it was going to be Jump-Out Boys or Detectives involved in the shooting.
My dad and I were in this exact parking lot 8 days prior on, the 28th, looking at used cars and at used Corvettes down the street while going to do some errands.
I’m so thankful for law enforcement and that he wasn’t able to get to the suburbs.

They were very tight-lipped about the details on the local news, too. Nextdoor was all abuzz about Bell Rd being backed up because of police presence, but that was about it.

Been watching you for years now and can I say I love this Channel never changes it only gets better.
I'd transition at the time for two reasons,
1st The rifle has more penetration and range with more danger to bystanders and collatorel damage.
2nd The rifle's long barrel can be grabbed, deflected and would not be as functional at point blank range as a compact pistol would (Especially when dragged to the ground)
As the officer was being rushed a pistol provides more accuracy, versatility and more control.
I'd have made the same call or attempt to ambush the suspect on the corner. (Butt of the rifle, Forward kick, hooking the leg)
Though with all that said,
With shots already being fired it was the safest call imo...

I figured the reason why the officer transitioned to sidearm was to protect from over-penetration when he saw so many crossfire opportunities
