For those of you not in the know, he secured the 'victim' like he did because he wasn't sure if that who it really was. He was treated like a suspect until positively ID'd, that way if he was a third member of the kidnappers he couldn't pull out a gun and shoot the cops from behind. The next morning I was born at 4:22 in the morning and they estimated my dad to be killed at 4:20 in the morning... I knew I did wrong and took responsibility for it... It costed a pretty penny but I was sure glad they got me before I hurt anyone else... Thank heavens!!! If you need a reminder to practice malfunction clearing/sidearm transitions as well as check on the health of your gear, here it is. There are so many jams/malfunctions that occur within just a few seconds into this encounter; and for each of them, the first attempts to rectify the malfunction fail for one reason or another. Both of these rifles look to be SIG MCX Virtuses chambered in .300 Blackout, and both D1 and D2 are using the same type of steel magazines.
D1, after crawling across his console and extracting from his patrol car, seems to have a magazine failure/multifeed. Going frame-by-frame, 4 live rounds fall from the magwell in view of the bodycamera once he removes the magazine. A sidearm transition allowed him to continue providing fire support with D2 were it required, and the rifle malfunction took 10 seconds to clear from the 2nd tap-rack until the rifle was condition 0 again.
D2, engages the suspect with a single round before having a failure-to-feed, and tap-racks to clear the malfunction. This either yet again fails to feed entirely or misfires, resulting in him also needing to transition to his sidearm. He drops his rifle on the ground next to him (I felt that).
That's what I call "autistic" levels of detail you can catch. It's amazing what a trained eye can get from this footage.
D2 hates those mags based on how hard he threw it down.

Sorry to be a debbie downer, it's because a lot of examples of cops that don't take the risks that are necessary. Officer safety has been prioritized at the detriment of both their overall effectiveness and LE-Public relations. See Uvalde as an example, and a very analogous example to this one, the Miramar UPS truck hijacking where LE hid behind bystander cars and hosed down the truck, killing both the sus and the hostage.
Nothing but respect for the guys in this video though, they're setting the gold standard. Officer 3 showed an incredible amount of restraint, putting himself into a vulnerable position and PID'ing his target before returning fire.

First cops rifle wasn’t loaded to begin with and he struggled to get it loaded. The second cop has a jam and has to switch to his pistol. This was a high speed takedown with a metric FUCK TON of drag.
@@TJ24050Every single officer was locked and loaded at the outset, I checked each perspective. It almost looks like D1 returns fire through his windshield while getting lit up before he bails out the passenger door. I think he must have knocked something around in his magazine or something during the process, because after completing ng around his vehicle he appears to attempt to reset his mag, then transitions to his pistol. After backing up his compadre, he again shifts around the vehicle to his left where he swaps the mag, and it's this moment that makes me think his mag failed because you can see multiple loose rounds fall out after he removes the mag. D2 does experience a jam, but there was nothing dragging about his transition. He instinctively realized he'd jammed and immediately transitioned very cleanly before continuing to pump rounds into the suspect. Jams happen, and in combat they are never at a convenient moment. His transition screams "I trained" to me. You need to rewatch the video, son.
@@niftytheviking I had to go back to realize that the first officer got off a round or two, but the two officers experienced jams within their first 2-3 rounds on a team of 6? Either their rifles and mags are the worst high speed gear I’ve ever seen, or they did something wrong in maintenance and prep. 2 officers statistically should not have had immediate major rifle malfunctions. It should not happen with the AR platform. Sincerely, an infantry combat veteran.

Looks like ammo related issue, fail to ignite
@@Nathan-jh1ho Nope if you look at the first guy to have a failure he strips out the mag and a live round falls out so it was probably a double feed. The other guy had a click so probably not a fully seated bolt. Could be human error, mag issue, or gun.
The failure on the first bodycam was a combo of operator and magazine. Mag wasnt fully seated which caused a failure to feed. He smacked the mag and charged it. You can see a live bullet pop out when he smacked the mag, but it looks like it didn't pick up the next bullet when he charged it because he pulled the trigger and no bang. So he smacked and charged again, no ejection, and then he immediately charged it again for some reason causing a double feed. Then he stripped the mag and you see the two bullets from the double fall out with the mag. Seems like mostly a mag problem with a bunch of failures to feed with a little bit of high stress brainlock on the detective. Not a judgement on him, I'm not gonna armchair quarterback a guy getting shot at while I'm enjoying a hot cup of coffee. Just seems like the stress caused him to tunnel vision on the weapon while rushing his clearing procedures.
You can hear they're running subs, and see they're running aluminum mags. It has worked me for in the past, but is usually an unreliable combo.

I saw that same mini clip you did. Shared it at the time, in fact, because it was just too impressive not to. Glad you did this longer video because I kinda wanted to know more.
I was lucky enough to catch a jump out boys situation at our local kroger. I was in my car eating a snack and heard several tires screeching looked up to see 2 cars and a truck smash into a SUV they all jumped out and 2 marked cars pulled up on each side it was wild i wish i knew what the suspect had done for them to make such a big deal about him. Anywho! Love the videos as always ❤
I seen the end of a high speed chase one time that ended in a convenience store parking lot I just know about 10 cop cars pulled in after the car did, one guy tried to run but got tackled, and the other two guys got snatched out quicker than I could blink but the same I never found out what happened.
It looks like both detective 1 and detective 2 had malfunctions with their rifles. They look to be the same model Sig MCX. Detective 1 seemed to have had a double feed type failure since he tried smacking the mag and ripping it out as you can see the rounds fly out. Detective 2 had a dead trigger or light primer strike. This is 100% unacceptable for duty rifles and they should consider looking into these failures.
Also in the raw footage it looked like the suspects vest caught a LOT of their shots. If soft armor can stop sub ammo like that supers might be needed.
@@kckrafft very interesting.
It was an ammo issue.
@@kckrafft what makes you think they’re using subs?
@@ryanrudolph2857 the fact that it sounds like they're shooting pellet guns? There would still be a crack of the bullet breaking sound barrier even with suppressor if using supers.
Finally, some exciting content from my boy donut
That lifted Suzuki Samurai looked pretty noice for $6500, plus now it's Donut Operator famous.
Man I cherish these last few videos as we don’t know when the last one will be. Donut we gonna miss these videos
For context he said in unsub he’s gonna quit these breakdown videos.
@@mrzekendestroy5404well, time for someone else to take up the mantle.
Imagine if donut puts his sound effects over the pew pew sounds 😂
that is a badass freeze frame you used as the thumbnail
Hats off to the jumpout boys, and all those in law enforcement, and doing so in good fashion 🫡🎉
He is the definition of training makes perfect sense. Tap rack, still nothing?transition, that was a perfectly executed real life scenario.
“Who eats a hot dog at a Mexican restaurant”💀this man is tweakin 😂
Right you are Ken 💯
The tamale review had me crying😂😂😭
the jump out boy that was jumping around on cars squatting up a storm is the human version of a pitbull. so excited to finally be able to get into some action with the boys to save the victim.
I'm really interested in how he got a highly controlled NFA item.
...you make them.
@@shizukaryujoukai2465 A polymer UMP45? Get real
Ummm…clearly it was cartel. They get anything they want. Usually from our government too 😂
He was a cartel guy. You know, the “migrants seeking asylum” that stream across our border unabated. Apparently, when nobody is watching, they bring sub guns with them?
@@stephenmccabe1489 figures you're dumb. HK stuff is super easy to convert to full auto. SEF trigger packs are like $80 and all you need is a dremmel and to drill one hole. Most likely replace the bolt carrier too but that's about it.
The "Damn dude where you get that shit" was hilarious hahaha
3:46 damn they had an entire tactical plan 😂
What! How could this suspect possibly get an automatic weapon?!!! Those are illegal!!!
Well if you want one, find a store that sells them. Like in Indiana, Nevada and couple of other states, fill out a form 4 with the ATF. Wait about 2 years, upon approval go to your local sheriff's department pay a 200 dollar tax stamp and pick up your new fully automatic boom boom and enjoy responsibly
For real tho, how did he get a fully auto UMP? H&K won’t even sell a semi auto version to civilians, that shit came from LE somewhere.
So is kidnapping but… you know… criminals do it anyway
Someone must have stolen the sign
@@jamesmorgan8617 Dont' forget that it's probably $60k grand thousand duckets
These dudes know what they're doing. Good work! I'm glad they, and the hostage, got out safe!! Mad respect. To the officer who got hit, you sir, are a certified badass for staying in the fight 🤘
Your sound effects guy is top notch.
It looked so messy yet perfectly controlled👌
