I love your painting. I am new to watercolor painting so I browse youtube for some lessons. I am glad I found you who likes to draw the same subjects as I do. These windows are very typical here in France particularly in the provinces. We live in a modern house so our window shutters are not made of wood anymore. Can’t wait to recreate this one!
That sounds so lovely! But you're right.. I went to Paris a few years back, and I really enjoyed seeing all the windows in buildings... Sadly there were some tall apartments that I couldn't really take photos of with a good angle xD

At that time, I was wishing if I could get a tutorial or video on this type of paintings and look!!!! I found it!!! Is this some kind of miracle!!?? Its a 100% true story and I am definitely going to try this out!!!!
THIS! Yellow, blue and white are one of my favorite color combos. Love how you combined the parts of several images to make this perfect picture. Definitely doing this one. Thanks Nia!

This is absolutely beautiful!! Please please 🙏 please do a video showing how to paint a wicker basket. It could have Eggs, or flowers in it. Whatever you want to put in it. But i need someone to help me figure out how to draw/paint the basket. I've looked everywhere and there isn't a good, step by step tutorial on this for watercolor. I know you could teach it. I've already learned so much from you just from your RUclips videos. I get so excited every time you post a new one! Quite honestly, I'm probably your number one fan 😉 Thank you for all that you do !!!

I love how you only use a palette for mixing…half pans are you ride or die. I would sure love a tour of your colours, why you choose them, your favourite mixes and why. Your colour harmonies are always so spot on. I assume this comes from art education and your background in design. How can a mere mortal get to the same place? 🤔
There is some colour theory behind it, like complimentary colours and such, but I find that also having a library of references to look at really helps when it comes to building your aesthetics and start forming your own opinion about what features you like in certain references. Personally I don't find that I'm that great with colour, but one of my processes is to just swatch the colours that I'm going to use and see if it looks good together, or doing small thumbnail paintings, to try out different colour combinations, and find the one you like. A lot of it is trial and error as well :p
Love this one, i would have Chosen green for the window shutters, but I think you’re right in the perry winkle blue it really stands out against the yellow of the wall.
