I remember playing her a lot back in 2020-2021. Used to be able to beat her, but she surpassed me right in front of my eyes, and now I stand no chance. Time flies!
yes. .. short pips chops incoming to you will have less back spin if chopped.... if i was your coach, i would say aim 1/2 net lower when those shots come into you... tough 3rd game ! your bh flips drives were strong.. impressed with your fh too !
@@phamster18 great advice thanks! I can’t remember if those were short or medium pips though…it was so long ago! I’m leaning towards them being medium pips, judging by the fact she is “looping” with them as opposed to flat hitting, which is why many put short pips on their forehand sides; with short pips those “loops” are very rare. In general I find short pips easier to play against as there is less variety in terms of the incoming ball compared to medium pips. Long pips are also more predictable for me, so it is the medium pips that I’m struggling the most I feel like
@@chyngyzdavletov214 if medium pips... i agree.. very difficult to play against... and i never serve side spin when i face long pips player... i aways keep the spin north and south ! hahaha....
A very important thing to note as well is that you need to remember and train lowering your center of gravity. From what I saw, most of the time you were almost completely upright and that made it more difficult to move in general and also limited the amount of power you could potentially output. It's a problem that affects lots of people, me included, and I'm actively working on it to improve my base stance and general agility! Also remember that it's not just lowering your hips like if you were just sitting, but more like sticking your butt out and lowering your back, so that the center of gravity is properly aligned and you can get as much mobility as possible. Great match and nice try!
@@Jekuruu yeah fully agreed. I’m on a taller side so for me it’s more challenging to sit lower during points. I’m doing 1-and-1 fh drill every session for the last ~6 weeks and it slowly starts to show in my recent matches, as I’m suddenly able to throw in more loops per point than before. It’ll take more time I guess to get fully integrated into my game (also it’s not clear what the extent of that “fully” is). Obviously we want to be as good as we can, but there are limitations as to what one can objectively reach at this age 😄
2200 is another level. I think she might the strongest person you played with. Also, pips is a big plus for her in this game. You do have several top 5 points.🎉 You fight well.
thanks man! yeah she's a tough opponent. Her pips shots caused me a lot of trouble. I have played against stronger players, but this match with her was definitely one of the good matches I had against 2200 level players and where I felt I actually had a reasonable chance to win.
@@minsin5595 in the video it was stiga legacy + dna hybrids XH on both sides. I’m interchangeably using stiga dynasty + k3 both sides or dynasty +mxd both sides (when air humidity is less than 70% when training at my home club) - these are my three main rackets

I like the captions during the game. Very useful for laymen like myself
come on I still remember your shots...they're fire!
Didn’t want it to go under appreciated - but some of the pushes here were really good!!
Yeah great observation as this often gets overlooked

Stupid shouting in the background, anyway all serves to long pushing long serves back instead of attacking
