    Purchased one of these flyscreens from Scooterwest for the wife's LIberty 150. Instructions were in Italian. Though not hard to install, we had never installed a windshield before; this video made it a breeze. Really appreciate it. Thanks...

    I just installed a "Malossi" windsceeen on my 2020 Piaggio Liberty 150. These instructions are practically identical. This video really helped, especially since there were no insructions included.

    Robot. I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy my Piaggio Liberty 150cc Scoot.I live in a beach community where 50cc scooters are popular simply because one does not need an MC license. The number of thumbs up regarding the Liberty as I ride around the beach community reinforces that I had made the correct choice. The Faco Flyscreen is the frosting on the cake. Thank you so much and keep the videos coming. It was extremely helpful in building the Flyscreen.

    You have the brackets backwards... That's why the bottom lock nuts didn't fit. I just installed mine opposite the way you did it and I had no clearance issues.

      @@tkorn43 I just installed mine and can confirm this. Fits better with the brackets opposite what Robot shows. You will be able to use the bottom lock nuts, though it's still tough getting them on in that tight space.

    Liberty owners have found that the expensive fly-screen that Piaggio made for the Liberty has really bad night riding Glare-Back - hope this Faco doesn't! The OEM Piaggio fly-screen sits forward of the headlight, not behind! No method of adjustment stops the glare-back - a bummer for night riding!

    Tip! If you are doing this when it is cold, then place the grometts in very hot water for a few minutes. It makes them soft and supple and easy to position. If you live in California you can disregard this advice you lucky people.

    Do you have a taller screen which could be a direct replacement if you’ve already set the bolts up for this screen?

    This is a great tutorial about how to install the screen, but can someone tell me what is the proper way to REMOVE it? On mine, I unscrewed the 2 large mounting bolts all the way to take my screen off, and the 2 "plungers" fell off the end of the expansion bolts and were lost into the abyss inside the scooter! LOL. I ended up having to buy new replacement expansion bolts to reinstall my screen. Now I have to remove my screen again to change my headlight bulb, but I'm afraid of making the same mistake. How to remove the screen while keeping all the hardware intact?

    • @daveinoh
      @daveinoh 2 года назад +1

      I thought about this and had a similar issue with some bar ends on one of my other bikes. The trick with that was to loosen the bolt just enough that you can pull the mounting assembly out without unthreading the expansion plunger completely. If you loosen it too much it’s just sitting in there loose.

      @@daveinoh Yes. This also happens on e-bike mirrors that mount in the ends of the handlebars. I know...:((

    Just installed...(swap left for right bracket as shown in video and it's much easier!), however, this short little (9") windscreen ($150) is almost completely useless at blocking the wind unless you lean down and stick your nose/helmet right against the screen. You need something taller...at LEAST 13 or 14"

    • @jamesconner3437
      @jamesconner3437 Год назад

      I tend to agree. I'm even short, and I still don't find but a bit of wind deflection. And those really tall ones of 20+ inches are waaaay too tall and catch glare plus crosswinds. For light scooters under 400 lbs, tall screens are dangerous imo. Your 13-15" dimension sounds good.

    Hi. I am really struggling to find quality videos to help me with my Medley. I am about to do an oil and filter change, but there does not seem to be much room between the exhaust and the oil filter. Do I have to drop the exhaust in order to replace the oil filter? Would really appreciate some help with this one query? Thanks
