She sailed with Greek Line until 1981. From 1983-1993 she sailed as the Caribe 1 for Commodore Cruise Line. Then in 1993 she joined newly formed Regal Cruises as their sole ship the Regal Empress. She was with Regal Cruises until its collapse in 2004. She finally sailed as the Regal Empress for Imperial Majesty Cruise Line from 2004 until 2009. She was beached in July of 2009 and by 2010 she was completely demolished.

Wow thanks for the memories, this was when you actually got to know folks on a cruise, now it's out of hand, too many people on one boat.

Was on the Caribe in 1987 and again in 1988. Haven’t been on another ship until Feb 2023. RCL Symphony of the Seas. This video brought back many great memories of cruising during the early years of the cruise industry. Trap shooting, flying kites off the stern and of course, the midnight Buffett. I remember staying up all night to watch the sunrise off the stern of the ship back then. I was in bed at 11:00 on Symphony. Wow have times changed…….

Oh how nice to see the Caribe now, I was there when we went over with Caribe1 to Miami from Hamburg at the same time when it was renamed Caribe 1 in 1983, Extremely many memories from that ship and when we went across the Atlantic to Miami and on with passengers around different places in the West Indies, I have to laugh at many wonderful and crazy memories and also 80s music in the background and a bad advertisement I think 😉
My father and I worked on this ship and we welded and made sure the air conditioning on the cruiser worked and a lot of other things, we installed the teak bar on the pool deck aft and the bar by the indoor pool and we installed the mirror bar in the casino and all the gaming tables and all the chairs that would be screwed to the floor, we had to do everything possible as the cruiser lacked staff and I will not write about everything that happened on board.
What incredible memories I have and this one made my night today and I have previously shared photos that I have here on my site from this ship.

The ship was Finnish owned and this must be the reason why cheese by Valio, a Finnish company, appears on the video. The adventure of Rederi AB Sally and following its collapse of EffJohn International to the US cruise market was a financial disaster.

I remember seeing their commercials on tv As a kid. I can’t believe skeet shooting with a shotgun was an onboard activity. Nowadays people see a gun and freak the fuck out.
