I'm surprised that Chrigel can't read notes, but makes such excellent music.
Some talented musicians can play by ear. Considering the fact that he's a multi instrumentalist he's probably very good at arranging the sound in his mind.
so, funfact about chrigel: his voice is much better on record, than live... (and this says a guy with a eluveitie backpatch)

Did you know that the dutch metal band Epica has covered "In the Hall of the Mountain King" on their album The Classical Conspiracy? Works quite well with doublebass I have to say :D And awesome show format from 3sat!
This is the most enthralling interpretation of a classical piece I've ever seen. Amazing!
Hab jetzt ein paar andere Folgen von "Rock the Classic" gesehen und in meinem Vergleich sind Eluveitie diejenigen, die das am Besten hinbekommen haben. Einfach nur toll! Anna und Chrygi haben das mit ihrer Stimme genial unterlegt.

Und ich wäre gerne bei der Uraufführung dabei gewesen. :-)

Dan McCarthy yes cellar darling was her solo. When the drummer was fired and the guitarist left eluveitie, they joined her solo project ( cellar darling)
No. Her solo thing from 2013 or whatever was just under her name, 'Anna Murphy'. The -album- was called 'Cellar Darling', not the project.
After the 3 of them exited Eluveitie, they started a new band, 'Cellar Darling', which is a different project from her solo album.
I got like 8 minutes in really really wishing I knew even a lick of what they were speaking before i realized there were English subtitles. Thats O.k it was fun. Thank you for the subs Andrea!

Also Metal und Klassik geht sowieso schon mal im Allgemeinen gut zusammen. Es gibt eine gewisse Verwandschaft. Besonders, wenn es melodiöser Metal ist.
