I’m a self taught cake maker and I started selling my cakes a few months ago. Thanks yo your videos I have learned so much about decoration techniques and of course, about troubleshooting those mistakes that I have made and with your videos you got me covered! Thank you so much for sharing all these with us, helping others to become better. God bless you and your family ❤️ greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽
I'm not really good in cake decoration, sometimes I was being discouraged & stressed because my icing is not smooth. It's good you shared your tips and fix mistakes. Thank you!
I just recommended your channel to a friend. I told her that I loves your videos because I’ve gotten so many good ideas from you, and I love how you always show your mistakes and how to fix them. It encourages me to keep trying!
U r simply amazing and generous too because u share all imaginable mistakes anybody can make while baking a cake. please make a video on how to make mini lunch cake with colour frosting, cake with ice cream and fruits on top, cupcake with 'indian barfi' frosting. Lots of love from Mauritius.
Thanks for the video. These common mistakes really troubles people while baking. I believe it will be very helpful to the bakers. Appreciated. Stay connected.
GOod morning! I love your work, thank you. I recently made a cake for a friend where the top tier slid off when she took it home. I could only re-frost the top tier as the bottom was so damaged trying to push the cake back together. I admit that the cake was not in the fridge, I've watched a video from you which explains I should have chilled before letting her take it home...the only thing is, it was 3 tier cake with a rainbow on top, so it didn't fit in my fridge. I am in Australia where it is currently quite warm. What do you suggest to avoid such a situation again? How was I best to try to fix it without damaging it even more? Hope you can help me to understand. I really love your tutorials and website.
Oh no! Tier cakes can be so tricky. Did you use dowels in the bottom tiered to support the higher tiers? And a cake board underneath each tier? If you can't fit an assembled tier cake in your fridge you can refrigerate the tiers separately and then stack them just before transporting while they're still cold and firm. Hope that helps!

That's key! Almost anything can be fixed if you can stay calm and have the patience to figure it out!

My frosting is never firm please make video for that how to make thick frosting
For butter cream it’s easy to fix these problems but whipping cream is so complicated 😅and yeah finger poking is my most happening mistake 😂
Yes, poking cakes after you finish decorating them as you slide them into the fridge or pull them out is the WORST!
Thank you : )
💕
Hi, is this buttercream, and what are the tin size for sponge in this video 🙏
Yes, it's my 4 Minute Buttercream (www.britishgirlbakes.com/recipes/buttercream-frosting/) and the cakes are 4" wide
I live in a very hot climate so to avoid condensation I just avoid putting frosted cakes in the fridge unless necessary..it's a pain
I used to do the same but I love lots of techniques that require very firm frosting
What is you are using whipping cream for frosting? It does not become that stiff
My 4 Minute Buttercream: www.britishgirlbakes.com/recipes/buttercream-frosting/
Awesome! 🥰💙🖤
Thank you!
I use a tape to keep the tip in place
Please tell us how can we control whipping cream in hot place

Great! Thanks!
How long it takes to icing a cake
What about cakes that become heavy and dense after refrigeration?
When they come to room temperature after 2-4 hours out of the fridge they should become light and fluffy again
Wow
I like to join online course. Please how
I would love that! my cake school is here: www.britishgirlbakes.com/online-courses
how do I colour my drip if made of chocolate
You can use gel colours in small quantities or for really bright colours you can use oil based colours
We are living in Asia and here's we ere mostly using whipping cream instead of butter cream.
I need a drip recipe badly....please
I have experienced exploding piping bags many times .
So frustrating, isn’t it?!
I believe she has a P.H.D in cakes. So informative whenever she teaches!
