  • These coils when tested against most commercial coils outperformed the other coils on all criteria of sensitivity, ground noise and signal recovery.

    You need a shop made with mortis and tennin with pegs and wedges in the joints, and glue on wall board and ceader shingle roofing. And the power all on one wall so it can easily be shut off. For testing. A building a mri can be used in, no metal a skylight with poleblight shining in from 200 meters away. Minimum power, no metal. Itvwiuld be a perfect shop haha

    Hallo sir. Thanks for sharing all those constructing details. I would like to ask if the thin wire which connects the two carbon sides, is also connected to the negative of the battery (ground).

  • @rickschroeder6992
    @rickschroeder6992 Год назад

    What was your ratio of carbon and graphite? What did you add the graphite and carbon to make the solution to apply to the coil? Did you use a spray gun and how to do the four quadrant taping without making a mess of things? I read below you use a blender to get it finer. Was the blender typical one purchase at a store? The goal is 80 to 120 ohms per/sq.inch. Best I have done is about 600 ohm with many coatings shielding. This has been good info about ML coils.

    Hi Woody
    Great information, I will try your methodology. My few tries at making graphite paint has resulted with high resistance 600 to 900 ohms. Any advice on reducing the resistance would be much appreciated.
    Thank you for your videos and have a good day,
    Chet

    • @DetectorMods

      The only way to get lower resistance is to reduce particle size by using a high speed blender.

    Hi there! This information is pure gold!
    I've been building the surf pi detector and I don't have access to 0.25mm2 tinned copper core
    Is it better for the coil to go stranded tinned plated Copper 0.22mm2
    or 0.25mm2 stranded copper core?
    The guy who sold the pcb recomended
    30 turns of 23AWG with a coil inner diamer of 15.3 to get 1.5 Ohms and 310 uH
    23 turns of 23AWG with inner diameter of 25.3 to get 1.7 Ohms and 340 uH
    Thank you for reading this! It will help a lot!

      The Surf P.I is easy enough to get working with 0.5mm diameter 0.22 or 0.25 mm strands, 280uh to 340 uh will work.

      I bought the Litz wire from you, and I have neat and good circular tires, and I wrapped it well, and the coils were compact and regular, but for about (300uH).
      The (18 inch) coil only gave me 15 turns.
      And he gave me a coil (22) =13 turns.
      and a 25-inch coil only gave my12 turns
      I tried an inductance meter on a mono coil (12x15) for an original Minelab, and it gave me the measurement (300uH).
      So I made sure that
      Please, dear Woody, where is the glitch?

    Hello First, thanks for all the valuable information that you share with us I have a question please help me I want to make a GPX file, not a small file, at least 30 inches, but I don't know much about measuring resistance, hertz, and others. I had an idea and before implementing it I want an answer from you If you take two coils, for example, two coils of 18, and remove the wires and connect them to each other, and create a disk of 18 x 2 = 36 Will it work ^^ Just connect the wire of the two disks to each other and understand in a circle the size of the disks whether it works or not Thank you very much If it does not work, I hope that you have a fixed table for a specific number of turns and a specific thickness of the wire for a diameter greater than 20 inches. Please advise me, thank you very much.

    • @DetectorMods
      @DetectorMods  Год назад +1

      Coils in series or parallel have to be made, it will not work by joining two commercial coils together. Seems like i will be making another video.

    • @jweleyalzintanlibya
      @jweleyalzintanlibya Год назад

      ^^ Even if I removed the wires from the coil and wrapped them myself again, but with a diameter equal to the diameter of two coils together instead of 18 inches, the coil would be 36 inches and with the same number of turns in the 18 inch coil. Nexus 32 or 42 inch is too expensive, and if you can make a cable disk only without the external structure, I will buy it from you. Thank you very much for your cooperation and good treatment

    • @DetectorMods
      @DetectorMods  Год назад +1

      It will work but it is not linear, you will only need to add only a couple of more turns, also it is not good to solder litz wire on a winding, if you do solder, put a small ferrite sleeve over the join.

      35 Inch Henry = 27m H and the resistance is 0.76 When it approaches the ground, it makes a noise. Should the graphite coating be on all the disk? Is there any support ^^
      note When I put my fingers on the metal buttons of the device, it makes a loud noise

      Cable for the coil has to be made from insulated strands of copper wire , Litz wire, the inside centre core and the outside shielding as a spiral wind , this type of cable is used in medical ECG and TV studio camera video cable.

      People do not realise that the GPX 4500 and 5000 have 2 separate input channels and separate transmitter all on the coil plug, so easy to build centre transmitter and two separate receiver coils, you can 180 phase swap one receiver coil for excellent noise cancellation.
