I loved both performances originally and their reprises. My top 3 groups are: 1. Pentatonix 2. The Aires 3. Afro blue (I especially loved American boy)
This is the night that I was super pissed off. The final three clearly should have been Afro-Blue, Pentatonix and the Dartmouth Aires. Urban Method had no business anywhere near the finals. Of course the tv show is fixed for ratings, so no need to get too worked up. I think it was clear that the producers anointed PTX as the winners from the beginning, and having Afro-Blue in the finals would've jeopardized that. No disrespect to the Aires or PTX, because they are both awesome.
2:54 - 3:09 DAYUM, son! I think that's why the Aires survived that week over Afro-Blue, cause they changed it up a bit. I love Afro-Blue's American Boy to death, but it sounded 90 percent similar to how they did it the first time.
Michael took full control of that sing off and you could tell from the second he started singing that he wasn't going to let them go home. They weren't the best group on a talent basis. But he was far and away the best singer in the whole season, and his group provided some of the most technical and spot on harmonies to support him throughout. Not one Aires performance I didn't love. I was even a huge fan of their Gaga/Stones medley the judges weren't too keen on.
Nah, it was because star power. Afro Blue had a better song and overall thing, but ... Michael. I mean. Michael. How do you send that home? Obviously you don't. lol
Personally I didn't think it was their best either but on the film earlier that night it was the performance both Shawn and Sara said was their best. That's why they chose it. It didn't work but it was very smart.
Yeah I am surprised there bass didn't get any honorable mentions by the judges especially for the next one they did Shout. That Bass just kicked but esp when having to hold his own with that many other guys.
no... DA's rendition of Somebody to Love was way too good..... it was so solid when they first did it Sara held Shawn's arm out of pure eargasm so you know its good when that happens. Their performance here was as good if not better then the first time they did it.
I honestly am a big fan of queen but i'm not sure I enjoyed the rendition done by Dartmouth Aires this time than the altogether medley. In this face-off I feel that Afro Blue has a much different sound and I think they could've gone further with their career in music. Afro Blue was better than Dartmouth Aries this time around.
Afro Blue deserved to be in the final until they got put up against Dartmouth Aires like that. Nobody would have had a chance in that situation, potentially not even Pentatonix!
lyrics for dartmouth aires: can anybody find me somebody to love? got no feel, got no rhythm. i just keep losin the beat. im alright im okay IM ALRIGHT IM OKAY! aint gonna face no defeat. i just gotta get out of this prison cell. someday im gonna be free LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bass: find me somebody to love oooooooooOOOOOOOOOOH! YEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! can anybody
Afro Blue and Urban Method were my least favorite, they especially had no business doing the rock songs, both groups ruined those rock songs, especially throwing rap into a rock song! are you kidding me! that was not the challenge! although afro blue did great with american boy but that was their only peformance i enjoyed, i was very mad when Delilah got sent home when they KILLED their rock performance with "Dream On", probably had the best performance that night! My top 3 would have been Pentatonix, Dartmouth Aires and Delilah
I seriously have to disagree with you, Afro Blue were top notch above & beyond the Aires, the arrangement and the vocals of Afro Blue were impeccable the harmonies were so tight the Aires were out song, the judges got it wrong. If you go back and listen closely Afro Blue was pitch perfect.
Yeah,i guess Micheal hold the last note a bit to long and the voices were a bit pitchy but just because they were very emotional. The Aires are like a explosive Bomb of emotions.I really couldn't choose between this amazing Acapella groups.I guess they choice the Aires because they make some Incredibel Perfomance and Micheal got a killer voice.Afro Blue got even better voices(like Kirstie) but sometimes the perfomance was a little bit lame (Just my opinion) I love both so much :(
The show is named SING OFF not PERFORM OFF. yes michael and the Aires gave a very good performance but wer they the best singers?? hell noo!!!! Even Pentatonix was disappointed. :(
Every one of the 14 seconds that Michael held that note was a plea for their survival. Such a star.
You could feel it when Dartmouth Aires was singing. That was more then a song. They were praying on that one. I still wish they had made it through.

Lol! That was great! I love how that bass was sitting there like, 'K, Michael, so..when are you gonna let me come in?' That was epic!

personally...i think dartmouth aires and afro blue should of been in the final urban method were the ones that should of went home.
hahahaha omg when the bass of the Aires doesn't know when to stand up because Michael is a beast and can hold that one note for forever XP
Nah, it was because star power. Afro Blue had a better song and overall thing, but ... Michael. I mean. Michael. How do you send that home? Obviously you don't. lol
Michael took it up 5 notches from their original one. Definitely pulled his team to the top.
love how scott pointed at afro blue after their performance! they were tight!
The Aires stayed because they gave an emotional, impactful performance. Afro Blue was good, but i felt NO emotions.
Sooooooooooo COLD!!! Oh So Smooth, Afro Blue!!!
Mike killed it!!! Body bag!!!!!
lolz clarks face at 3:31 it makes me laugh my face off haha :D

afro blue hits some chords that i didn't think were possible.
1. Pentatonix
2. The Aires
3. Afro blue (I especially loved American boy)
urban method sucked ass tey should have not even made it past the delilahs
i love how he hailf takes his jaket off in every preformance
I love how Dan doesn't know when to get up cuz Michael's holding that note!
*have* "should have gone home"
But I agree with you.
find me somebody to la- ooh- ah- oh- ah -oh- oooooooh- huve
loooool it's like he's taking a dump 3:17
Even DA Was not in agreement with the judges... this was so unfair
They most def. picked the wrong group to stay!!!!
AFRO BLUE 4EVER!
no... DA's rendition of Somebody to Love was way too good..... it was so solid when they first did it Sara held Shawn's arm out of pure eargasm so you know its good when that happens. Their performance here was as good if not better then the first time they did it.
I bet if Afro-Blue would've sang Put Your Records On, they would've been saved.
afro blue....sooooo shoulda stayed
Omg Urban Method should've left.
wow are you really correcting grammar on youtube...someone has too much time on their hands....lol just joking ;)

Fixed competition. The only ones who could compete with pentatonix was afro blue
