Let's take a look at the Vtoman Jump 600X portable power station.
I acquired it for its unique "Jumper cable" feature!
I will also compare it to the similarly priced popular Bluetti EB3A.
This is part 1. Like I normally do, I will do a part 2 when I have used it for a few months.
See part 2 here : ruclips.net/video/r2AMn7hTNkE/видео.html
I used Amazon sale prices on the 600X, add-on battery, jumper cable and a solar panel for under .40 cents a Whr, Best price I could find. The power station works great for camping and I used it this winter when I had several power failures at home. Only limiting factor is recharge time, pretty slow on solar. It weighs 6.6 kg's or 14.6 lbs.
Thanks for the info. So far, I have 2 things that I feel should be improved with this power station:
- charging time is very slow compared to other I have. This could be both good (for the battery) and bad (very long to charge).
- General construction is not as solid as other I have.
The jumper cable can be bought separately. You can't expect it to be included in such a cheap price
I don't buy this argument. They advertise it as one of it's main feature and it is even in the name of the model: "Jump" 600x. At the time of filming, nowhere was it written that it was not included. I found some online that looks very similar to them for a big 5$ USD. I actually reached out to them about this and still haven't heard anything back.
You forgot to mention it has expandable battery to give 939wh for less money than most
It is not that I forgot. I simply do not have the extra battery yet but I intent on watching the price on it and maybe includes it in the follow-up video. Can't deny about the price for what you get on paper though. Talking about the Jump 600x price, even by itself at the paid price, it is interesting.
The isue with it is it only charges at 65watt solar. The extra battery is about 600 wat hours. You cannot charge the extra battery seperately. You have to fully charge this unit with the extra battery plugged in. It has to be fully charged before it charges the extra battery. Good rule of thumb is multiply the solar charge rate times 5. 65x5=325wh. It would take a couple days to recharge it at that rate. Better off buying a second unit.
Charge time is an issue I confirm. I got more then 65w though, closer to 100w. Also when charging on AC, The external power supply becomes super hot.
If you are into portable power stations and or model trains come to leeway models
Does the 600x not even have an app to monitor it. I am going to try to send mine back to Amazon.
Thanks for your comment. After owning it for a while, this is the conclusion I made concerning this topic. There is, to my knowledge, no app to monitor the Jump 600x.
For small devices like this, it is not normally much of an issue as they usually sits right next to you as opposed to larger units that might be installed tucked away or in a different room. Also, since it does not have UPS functionality and a relatively small battery capacity (299 Wh), it does requires you to manually plug it to charge it quite often when used. My opinion might change as I have ordered the extra battery for it that would bring the capacity around 1kWh.
Also, these devices are supposed to be owned for an extended period of time (estimates to almost 10 years with daily cycle) I can see apps becoming obsolete faster then the hardware in that time frame. Smaller manufacturer also means that the app might not get updated as often if at all. I've opened it up and found out that it was surprisingly quite serviceable by someone with basic electronic soldering skills as it is made of mostly basics off the shelf components inside and what looked like a service disconnect for the battery. I cannot say the same is true with devices with apps as circuits board are much more complex.
I hope these extra information will help you decide if you want to keep or return the portable power station.
Interesting
Thanks!
Could you please review the kato p42 in n scale
Hi Trainaregreat! Unfortunately I don't have that model. However I have something else being filmed at this time.

class 43/ intercity 125
Unfortunately, I do not have any in stock at this time. I wanted to get the green GWR class 43 trainset by Hornby but the price doubled... So I did not. Most of my UK stuff is from the big 4 (LNER, LMS, SOUTHERN and GWR).
Ok if I get your contact I can find it cheaper for you ok
How is £140 £120 witch I thin is about $122 or $144 I think
@@LondontransporduckL99 it is actually the other way around in Canadian $ (not US $) . 100£ Is close to 160$CAD plus shipping. 200£ is closer to 330 $CAD. I already have quite an extensive collection, just not a class 43 yet.
Ok I'll will look for cheaper what's your max budget
