I go to an American Taekwondo Association school. Our black belt test required a 2 mile run in under 20 min, then a “fit test” that you have to complete in under 5 minutes consisting of 50 push ups, 50 sit ups, and 300-3 move punch/kick combos. Then 8 forms ranging from 30 to 70 moves each, then like 10 rounds of sparring, then, at the very end, board breaks.
I do kuk sool won and their belt before black is brown w/2 black stripes called the dahn bo nim. Testing is around 5-6 hours full of conditioning 6-10 forms over 100 techniques board breaking. Also 1000 kicks and strikes. I had to do 100 jumping jacks 50 squats 30 crunches over 60 push-ups and it all happened in 4 1/2 hours that was for my dahn bo nim test. Now to do it every three months for the next 1.5 to 3 years.

I'm 13 and have mine, there is no age
I've been in taekwondo for 7 years and can say there should not be an age to get you're black belt at, but you should have a certain level of indomitable spirit and strength.
lovely kids
Oh p.s thx for plajurizing our stepstool kick from American Schools Sholin Kempo.
Wood chopping wasn't right because she had to do lots of it till she could break it
Just what I thought
Seriously how the f can you not break such an easy board? For blacl belt? Cmon! We had to do multiple breaks and one 2 board power break and then break a brick back in my day for 1st dan testing.
Wow.. Amazing.. I like it.. But I can't do 😢
Love you my dear friend all taekwondo Canada and uk
Im going to be testing for a ywellow belt wish me luck

My Kung fu dojo doesn’t allow black belt tests until ur 18 or rolder
Julie Xiang technincally in taekwondo too.
But McDojangs allow 16 under to have a black belt🤦🏻♀️
Teach me 😣
That's all for a black belt ?
CrEmAtE 95 you're saying it like it's easy
No you have to run a mile in under 7 min and do all forms through yellow and black and do lots of kicks
no its not black belt testing is that hardest I know many people who have failed during the black belt test especially where I go you have to have a pre-test and you have to do all the patterns from white belt to black stripe ( where I go we have stripes) no mistakes you make one and its an instant fail you have the slightest chance of passing during the actual test
I’m going for my black belt soon😝
After watching this video, it is not that impressing anymore :(
Sloppy poomsae with minimal focus and commitment. Breaking using more force then accuracy and technique. How were they considered ready for Il Dahn or Ee Dahn testing let alone achieving it?
4:03 the mother be recording lol
What a lovely ceremony of handing out belts 😂😂
Next week on Oprah:
When the little girl with blonde hair broke the board after trying and trying I clapped cuz I was proud too
Lol guys at 04:25 the guy says "ok the last one" and he just does a cheat trick which is when you lift one side of board just a little bit its easy to break even concrete. Maybe its just because she just so eager to break it but i dont think she deserves it because of she doesnt know elementary stance or whatsoever she kinda jumps, lands, then slaps the board. It hurts to see those girls kinda give little massage, stretch kind of thing after hitting to board, it seems like it hurts a lot. It just looks like little aged kids didnt taught well.
I think another factor that she just cries over there i would do that trick either lmao.
