This summer is the cicada year in Chicago so as excited as I might be thinking about plants, I’m prepared to let it all burn to the ground and start over the following year bc I am just not going outside ever this year. ☹️ I will instead live vicariously through your adventures as a substitute. 🤣
Cicadas are essential to our eco systems though!! Besides their insane screaming, they don't really show themselves too often I feel like? At least that's my experience, so I will gladly work alongside their harmonious racket 😂
Container & planters are toooo high maintenance for me. I divide everything. I have an embarrassing amount of hostas. I'm too cheap to plant annuals. I literally just throw seeds around & boom beautiful gardens. I plant all summer just add a little more water. I love me a fall clearance! Trust me I've made every mistake there is & I'm sure there will be plenty more. 😊

@@MissAnnieByou are right they only come here in mass in Chicago every 12 to 17 years, but when they do Oh Lordy! It is an invasion for 6 weeks
