    doing all that in an apartment is the most real shit ever. the struggle is real when you are renting. i'll never forget the feeling of realizing i had not only a garage, but an entire basement when i moved into my first house. i went from a walk in closet to a 10 foot by 20 foot finished basement. don't ever let your tiny space slow you down, it just makes you better at using a bigger space when you get one

    When I clicked on this video after watching William's video, I totally expected it to be a bland tutorial from a guy who doesn't really know about visual design, but 33 seconds in and I am hooked. The editing style is great, just the aesthetic of this video is immaculate. Definitely a unique and intriguing video because of how much you are clearly thinking about the visual aesthetic. Most youtubers who made these kinds of videos (i.e. design/mechanic/building videos) aren't spending a lot of time on the visual component but rather the actual content/tutorial. You have done both and it is really refreshing to see!

    I just found this channel though this video, and I love this. I am studying mechanical engineering in college and i really enjoy it, but i really appreciate the whole “figure it out as you go” mentality. I have spent so many hours designing and thinking about my projects, and it takes months for the fruits of that labor to express itself in a final design and a working thing. even though that is rewarding, this artistic approach is so awesome in how you go in knowing everything won’t be perfect and that’s ok. I really want to try making something like this now, and just see what happens. Your videos are awesome and your messages are amazing, keep doing what you are doing, I love this so much.

    Over 7 years ago I was watching a @braille skateboarding video where they skated on viewer shipped creations. One of which was a laser cut board, William Osman posted a video of how he made it. That is the first video on his channel to this day, and i’ve been hooked to his content since. There is so much “maker” content on youtube today, but your style is so beautiful to me. It’s a combination of the beautiful camera work, music, and story telling that makes this video play more like a poem than a “diy” video. I love your style, and I loved this video. Keep it up in whatever you do.

    Theres something about the way you presented this that has me motivated to try my hand at making things again. Years ago I'd found I was good at software and at some point must have decided I just wasn't any good at making "real things". Definitely going to find an old abandoned project to pick up and see where it takes me!
    This was by far the coolest set of handles William received. Really enjoyed the video as well, you got a sub from me!

But later on got back into physical mediums and mixing the two is incredibly powerful, so much fun too

    Love that you're using tools one could get off the shelf at Harbor Freight or other big box hardware store; in a space that was repurposed for making rather than a custom built workshop the size of a living room. It's a bit discouraging to a young maker than seeing a cool project done with tools worth several hundred dollars housed in a purpose built space. Been thinking about getting into leather working, and this is a lovely video to get an idea on how to do it. Keep it up!

    I dearly love how you use the vintage old-school Tvs in the videos. please tell me about the inspiration behind that. It's so creative and aesthetically pleasing. Am curious about how you send signals into the TVs coz I know the only take rca input. It definitely would make a good video to tell us about them or just a small segment of your future video.

    • @EvanMonsma
      @EvanMonsma  9 месяцев назад +5

      I would love to make a video on the TVs soon- you can get HDMI to RCA converters for like $10. Need to get more so I can set up more TVS at the same time. The inspiration behind using them is that it gives some context to when I show media produced by other people, or older media I’ve produced. It tells the audience that this is a detour in the story, and sort of feels like I’m watching that clip along with you during the storytelling- if that makes sense

      @@EvanMonsma, indeed. Anyway, I think, that your last bevlog video on second channel is really something. I just like how **simple and clean** it is.
      I don't know what you are going to do with the information I'll provide in next couple of strings, but I am preparing to release my first video on the channel.
      I was inspired by your content and couple other people's videos, someone will notice how.
      Thanks for being who you are, and making stuff like this. Much appreciated.
